Welcome to the Adobe Forums.
To better assist you with this issue we need to know:
What is your operating system? (Windows or Mac) (XP, Vista, 7, 8)
What browser do you use? (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari) -
I had to purchase a new Mac Book Pro. When I tried to download Adobe Flash Player, it wouldn't take any of my passwords. I had to change my Apple ID last week, but nothing worked. Can I reset my Adobe Flash Player password and if so, how do I do that? Thanks
Hi Donna,
Please see What userid & password do I need to install Flash Player? for info on the password being requested.

Trying to install Adobe Flash Player 11 on my Mac...PluginProcess?
Trying to install Adobe Flash Player 11 on my Mac. The insallation stops and I am told to exit something called PlugInProcess. I don't know what it is. I don't show it being open. Any help?
The Plugin Process is an app that runs alongside Firefox and Safari when they're open. Lately Firefox's plugin process has been "hanging" on my Mini. I'll close the app but it keeps running and using RAM for several minutes.
Download the Mac Offline Installer here
Quit your browser and reboot if necessary to "kill" all processes.
Then mount the DMG and run the installer. -
Trying to install adobe flash player onto mac using internet explorer 5.2 for mac.
Trying to install adobe flash player onto mac using internet explorer 5.2 for mac. But the page that I need keeps telling me that Adobe Flash Player still needs to be installed. I've downloaded AFP several times, and I see it installed correctly on my mac, but the same error message keeps coming up. All of the support that I see is either for mac or for Internet Explorer, but not for both and not for the version of Internet Explorer that I am using. Please help. Thank you.
Wow, IE for Mac is pretty old. What Mac OS are you using? I'm 99% sure you're going to need an older version of the Player, but I'll need to know the OS version to figure out which one.

Trying to install Adobe Flash Player my Adobe ID and Password is not accepted. I changed it several times, without success. What's the problem?
You don't need an Adobe ID or password to install Flash Player, but you may need to provide your system's Administrator password during the installation.

I have checked all of my permissions and contiue to get this message after 68% mark when trying to install Adobe flash player. User does not have sufficient privileges to install adobe flash player. A required file (C:\windows\syswow64\macromed\flash\flashplayer.xpt:5) could not be written due to insufficient permission.

Tried to install Adobe Flash player update. Site says blocked plug- in ---so did the update work?
The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFl ash
You can check here what version of Flash player you actually have installed: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’. If you are running 10.6.8 or later:
When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser. -

Where are you trying to get Flash Player from? Downloading is different from installing but many malicious websites offer to supply Flash Player as a means of installing malicious software and gathering personal information (e.g., passwords). You should get Adobe Flash only from Adobe and this link lets you download the full installer (Mac OS X (Intel) DMG) and run it locally. At that point OS X will ask for your password and if you've been using it successfully for other purposes (e.g., changing some items in System Preferences), it should work there too. Note that once Flash Player is installed, a Preference panel is installed too, and in it you can authorize Adobe to update Flash automatically. -
