I am trying to Install CS5.5 on a new computer and it is saying my product key is valid but a qualifying product cannot be found.
I have Adobe CS 5.5 with a valid product key (On the original box) but it wont install on my new work computer. This product is owned by my company and has been used in the past on my old computer.
I enter the product key and get the customary Green Check Mark:

I Click "Next" and it displays the screen below. I do not have any CS 5.5 programs installed on this computer. (It is brand new - opened and set up this morning)
I used this disk to install CS5.5 on my previous computer which has crashed and did not need to Upgrade anything. I do not have any other product keys to use for the second box and I have found nothing on this problem in the forums.
Any help is appreciated, I am at a loss.
Never share your serial number in a public forum or other non-private communication.
For the second image you show you need to follow the instructions.
You copy of CS5.5 appears to be an upgrade version. THis means it was made available at a reduced price because you had an earlier version that you upgraded from. The second image you show is asking you to provide the information for that older version as proof that you qualify to activate/use the new one.

Repair your Apple software update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU, go to Control Panel:
START > CONTROL PANEL > Programs n Features / highlight ASU and click CHANGE then REPAIR, -

Not sure how far you've gotten, so i'll start from the beginning.
After you downloaded the PSCS5OptionalPlugins_Win_en_US.zip
right click on it and choose Extract All
In the Extract dialog check Show extracted files when complete
Then the window should open showing a folder as below
If you double click on that folder, then there is a pdf with instructions for installing the plugins

You will have to upgrade, yes, but you have several options:
Buy new full version of Photoshop CS6 (most expensive option). CS2 is too old to qualify for upgrade pricing.

I need to install CS5 on a new computer and cannot find the install disk (it was an upgrade).
How can I acquire a replacement CS5 upgrade disk?
You can download the software from Adobe.com.
You'll need the serial number. If you don't have it, but have registered the software with Adobe, you can still get the older downloads directly from them, as well as serial numbers through the My Adobe link on Adobe's main web pages (accessble directly through the red logo at the top of this page).

I have a new computer running os10.9. my old computer ran cs5.5(upgrade version). I am trying to get CS5.5onto my new computer. when i load cs5.5 towards the end of the install it asks for the cs5.5 serial number. i put that in and everything is accepted but then it asks for a serial number for a full version of a product which men is design premium cs3 but it doesn't give me that product as a choice from the drop down menu. it only gives me adobe master collection cs3. why when i have purchased all these different upgrades can i now not use them and how can i sort this out. i need cs5.5 on my new computer.

You cannot install your Mac license on a PC. Serial numbers are platform specific. There's no way around that.

when you were install your cs3 you should have been prompted for you serial number. were you?
if not, you probably didn't properly install cs3. copying/migrating/moving etc is problematic.
if yes, did you see any error messages during installation?
if yes, attach a screenshot of the error message.
if not, check you install logs, Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC -

If you have not been able to install iTunes because the Windows Installer service is not available, I would recommend the troubleshooting in the following troubleshooting to help.
Issues installing iTunes for Windows
These in particular:
Make sure you have an administrator account.
To install iTunes, you'll need to log in to your computer with an administrator password. If you're not sure if you have an administrator account, read Windows 7: How do I log on as an administrator? You could also refer to your computer's help system, contact your IT department, or visit support.microsoft.com for assistance.
Install the latest Microsoft Windows updates.

Disable conflicting software.

Restart your computer.
Install iTunes.

Do you have a retail disc with a picture of a Snow Leopard on it, or is it a gray disc? If it's gray, did it come with the machine you're trying to install on? If it came with a different Mac, it won't work.
