I am trying to install Encore Pro CS3 on my Windows 8.1 PC. I get the error, Installer Database is Corrupt. Can anybody advise what I need to do.

This happens when you install with insufficient user privileges or tools like virus scanners interfere. Delete the caps.db, run teh cleaner tool and try again, avoiding the aforementioend issues by turning stuff off and using compatibility modes. Just get used to the fact that due to compatibility issues it may never work. Your version is pretty old for Win 8.1...

If so then please utilize the uninstallers located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. I get the same error when trying the same thing with the default styles, so it's not the file.
So, if you click on one on of the layer style sets already on the list, such as Text Effects 2, you get the same message?
Which version of mac os x are you using?
Did you upgrade your mac os with photoshop cc 2014 already installed?
Do you have the lastest version of photoshop cc 2014, which should be 2014.2.1
(listed at the top of Help>System Info from within photoshop)
Do you see the same layer styles as shown above on your list?
Have you moved/copied any plugins from an earlier version of photoshop to the photoshop cc 2014 plugins folder?
The layer styles shown on the list above are the styles that ship with cc 2014 and should be in
/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC 2014/Presets/Styles
(the mac applications folder where all the other mac applications are installed)
You might try resetting the preferences, but you might need to uninstall photoshop cc 2014 and then reinstall.
(don't drag the cc 2014 to the trash, but use the Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 in the photoshop cc 2014 application folder)
To reset the preferences
Press and hold down the Shift+Command+Option keys while starting photoshop cc 2014
Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the adobe photoshop settings file
Press Yes -
I tried to install Itunes ver 11.1.4 on my Windows7 64 bit system and got this message: “Service ‘Apple Mobile Device’(Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privilliages to start system services.”

i just tried to install the 11.4 update (or whichever one is the most recent update as of 1/26/2014) and when it failed i tried to install manually and now whenever i try to use it, i get the following error: "The application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Right after i click ok i then get this error: "Itunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall Itunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)." I tried to uninstall Itunes and then reinstall the 11.03 version but that didnt work either. I want to know if i copy all of the music in my itunes folder to an external without consolidating can i still transfer all my itunes music from my current windows xp pc to a brand new one and have my current itunes library in my new pc? Basically i just want to know 3 things: What exactly does consolidating the itunes library do? Can i copy, paste, and transfer my itunes library to an external and from there to a new pc? Will i be able to transfer my itunes library without consolidating the files?
I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). got notification that new Itunes version is available, once i installed it I'm no longer able to open Itunes, I get the error message, Not installed properly. Reinstall itunes. Error 7(Windows error127), I tried repairing itunes, Apple Aplication support, apple mobile device support, bonjour and I even uninstalled and reinstalled Itunes and still problem exist, any solution?
I have windows 8I got this message today too. I understand that my music is stored on my computer, however I want to be certain that if I re-install iTunes, it won't erase my library....playlists, playcounts, checked songs, etc.

I'm trying to upgrade to iTunes v 10.6 on a windows vista pc and keep getting the error, "Invalid Drive/E". What do I do to get past this?
Open a Windows Command prompt, e.g. Hit Start > Run, type in CMD and press OK.
Type in SUBST E: C:\<enter>
This will map E: to C: until the machine is restarted or you enter SUBST E: /D at the command prompt. Now you can try uninstalling or upgrading the software again.
(If upgrading software which lets you choose a location, install the software in the default location, not on the E:\ drive.)

Trying to install Photo Shop CS3 Extended on Windows 8 and keep getting database corrupted
Hi, I am trying to install my Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended on my new Windows 8 OS 64 Bit computer. The CD does not have a scratch on it, it is like new. I get the error database is corrupted. Contact Adobe Support.
I went to the Adobe website and downloaded the updated installer, same error. I tried running the installer in Windows XP compatibility mode, it looks like it installed, but when I run I get database corrupted.

Trying to install Photoshop elements 10 on an Imac which was downloaded and getting this error:
This is an included package with a new Wacom tablet. I have downloaded the file several times and get the same message.
This is on an Imac, running OS 10.7.4.
Any idea of what could cause this? Oh I also tried dragging the folder to my applications and still get the same message.

JohnYes it extracts properly and opens the install window whiich contains the "install" ikon. As soon as I click the ikon I get the error above.
I have downloaded it several times just in case I may have not gotten a complete download but they all do the same thing.
I did try this, since it kept referring to the disk image. I dragged the install ikon from the disk image, onto the desktop. Then I get a similar mesage that says "Install" can't be opened, you should move it to the trash.
I noticed the "?" so I clicked it and this is what it says:
The app’s authorization has been revoked
Although this app was signed by an identified developer, the certificate for this app has been revoked. There may be a problem with it. The app cannot be opened.
You should check on the Mac App Store to see if there is an updated version of this app, or check with the software developer.
