If that is your intent, finding a substitute program that will run on your Mac may not be as efficient. Others can advise you on alternatives, or you can post a new thread specifically with that question.
BTW: what Mac and what version of OS X?
If it is important to you to continue to use DVD Studio Pro, consider the option of installing Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels on your Mac:

If you can access Facebook while on Wifi at home, but you are unable to access it while away running on your carrier's 2G network, I could phone your carrier. You have already completed the Cellular Data troubleshooting for the iPhone, so any limitations keeping your from connecting to Facebook over cellular will have to be answered by your carrier.

Does Mail open otherwise? Like if you try opening it from your Applications folder?if it doesn't:
Boot into your recovery partition (restart, hold down ⌘R until you see the Apple logo), and use Disk Utility to repair your hard drive. Repair permissions too while you're there. OS X: About OS X Recovery
if that doesn't work: reinstall Mavericks over your current installation.

i can not install itune. There are the error show

I have tried some soution from the similar case to uninstall itune and also related components already but finally the probelm still occured.

After following instructions for three different solutions that did NOT work; I found the solution that did work
on the support site for Syamntec.
Readers - Please, you must be VERY familiar with pc jargon and windows vernacular to accomplish the reset
of ALL the permissions in your registry.
Follow the ditrections below and pay attention to the notes for those running 64bit Win7.
Step one, back up the registry.
Step two, go to the MS KB: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e8ba3e56-d8fe-4a91-93cf -ed6985e3927b&displaylang=en and download the file that installs subinacl. It is an MSI file, and will do a quick install of a few Microsoft files. Hint: Look in the folder listed below, "subinacle.exe" may already be there.
Step three, create a batch file (subinacle.bat) with the following commands: (Use Notepad - copy & paste, not the red stuff)
cd /d "Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools" (only for 32bit/x86 machines)
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f

For 64bit machines substitute for first line of bat file:

Step four, run the batch file. Let it run until the Command Prompt screen closes, may take 30 minutes or more.
Step five, reboot the machine and run the install again.

I'm trying to install Adobe CS6 Master Collection but when I click to install it says Adobe Installer is already running when in fact it is not. I double checked my Force Quit window and my Activity monitor it is not running. What do I do?
Here is a screen shot to show you the error message.I'm not really a Mac expert, we might need some Mac experts to chime in here.
It probably is a background process and not an application. If anything, I think you'll find it in the Activity Monitor.
If that does not help, you could also try the following:
1. Reboot and retry install ( you've probably done this already)
2. Boot in safe mode and then try installing. -
Trying to install Mavericks, but says it cant due to recovery not being installed
I have downloaded Mavericks on my wifes MAC BOOK PRO, and it wont load as it says that it cant find "recovery". I downloaded, and installed Mavericks on my 2009 MacBook without any problems.
Any help and or hints would be most welcome.You can't do an erase/install from a Time Machine disk because it uses the very Recovery Partition on the computer that is missing. To get this put back, requires booting externally, erasing the offending OS and running the installer from there.
I'm surprised the installer wont run because people with Snow Leopard do not have such a Recovery Partition and they can upgrade.
Here is one route and I wish it was simpler.
1. Make sure the MBP backup on Time Machine is up-to-date.
2. Re-partition the Time Machine disk to make a small new one of about 80Gb or so.
3. Attach the disk to the MacBook and boot into the MacBook. Download the installer again. (Save a copy before running it).
4. Install Mavericks onto the new partition, without any data transfer, except to copy over the installer.
(You could just clone your MacBook using Carbon Copy Cloner, if you have it. It would be good backup anyway)
5. Shutdown the MacBook and move the disk to the MBP, boot into the new partition.
6. Go to Disk Utility and erase the MBP disk. Run Verify disk.
7. Running the installer, it will ask where to install Mavericks and you need to click to show a list of disks. Choose the MBP and go from there. At the point it asks to transfer data. Select the Time Machine partition and use that to get your wife's user account.
Heck that is complicated! -
i am in a loop. I can't get past this point OS X could not be installed on your computer. when I go to quit the installer I get are you sure you want to quit OS X installer? To quit, click choose startup disk to select a startup diskbfor your computer if you need to restart click restart. I don't have a start up disk and my time machine evidently isn't workig either. Does this mean I have lost everything??? Please someone help!!! I am not a tech person at all and am freaking out right now. How do I remove the download and just go back to what I had. Seriously!!!

iOS cannot run on any Mac computer, just Apple's mobile devices. You have some version of Mac OS X. To find it, please do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu and post what you find along wiuth the processor description.
Some iMacs cannot run newer versions of the Mac OX. That's why we need more info about your specific model. Now that you have the serial number, enter it into the Apple support page to get it translated into a model type:

Report what that says for your model BUT DO NOT post your serial number for security reasons. -
How to get Lightroom with full function CC subscription while could not see Lightroom in CC desktop?
I bought a full function CC subscription early this month. Based on what is showing in on line store product description page I should get free Lightroom as well. However, I did not see Lightroom in the app dowload-able list. I had already bought Lightroom 4 and is using it. My main system I installed CC is Mac Pro 4-core Xeon with OS 10.7, 6GB DIMM & 1T HDD.

I did down loaded LR 5 from Adobe CC where is the only location I can down load Adobe app by following instructions from Adobe online store before I bought CC full function subscription. Then I un-installed it by deleting it while I saw it was not showed in my CC desktop after I bought full function subscription and installed CC. I understood the correct way to uninstall Adobe SW is by uninstaller. However, I could not find uninstaller from folder you mentioned or anywhere else (even now, I still can not locate to /application/utilities/Adobe installer, no Adobe installer can be seen in the location you mentioned. I just can find an Installers folder in resource/application support/adobe or application/tool/adobe installers instead, but I could not find any message directly related to Lightroom in Installers but Photoshop from CS3 till Photoshop cc & of course Create Cloud installer) for uninstalling Lightroom 5 then, so I just can simply remove it by delete it. I had ever thought I may have to remove all versions of Lightroom I bought from Adobe in order to let CC to re-allocate Lightroom to CC desktop app list. I finally did not delete all versions of Lightroom for I am currently using Lightroom 4 for developing photos I took in past few weeks including in the wedding of my daughter. I can not sure if I can install Lightroom 4 back after uninstalled it. I should not take this risk so I did not delete Lightroom 2-4 after I deleted Lightroom 5.
