You'll need an external editor for that kind of work.

There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate. You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

Backup and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

Basic question is why are any of the minimun 8 Verizon reps that I or my Authorized Verizon Rep (at Costco) spoke with unable to resolve a very simple, straightforward issue that should have been resolved in 15 minutes max. Instead I (a 14 year verizon customer) have been given the runaround and have invested over 6 1/2 hours in trying to get someone to acknowledge that I an owed 1 GB of Bonus Data on my new phone on our new plan. My wife got hers. I am just venting now as I intend on returning the phone tomorrow (I got it Thursday) and turning around and getting an identical new phone. This was suggested to me as an option by both the Rep who sold my wife her phone and the rep who sold me mine as that way I would not have to contiinue dealing with this ridiculous state of affairs (they indicated that my Free gig request was being sent to another department and that it would be about 7 days befor they get an answer). No I was considerate, etc. The root of the problem stems from the fact that when I went to get my new phone I asked the salesperson if I should sign up for the new plan or if my wife should do it the following day when she buys her new phone (also at a Costco but in a different state). The salesperson said it made absolutely no difference so I elected to have my wife do it. When she did the next day she got her free Gig and her salesperson told her that I need to call in to make sure I get the gig that I am entitled to as well. That's when the runaround started with the first call consisting of me basically advising Verizon of what the promotion consists of, etc.since they insisted that it was one gig per Plan, that there were no exceptions to this, etc. As mentioned they wanted to know where I got the information that it was one gig per qualifying phone. (Both the rep and her supervisor obviously were not aware of how Verizons heavily touted More Everything plan works). They told me finally that I needed to go back to the Costco where I got the phone. I did. The salesperson apologized numerous times to me for advising me that it made no difference who signs up for the plan or when. She then spent over two hours on the phone (with me next to her) attempting to explain to Verizon what happened, how it was her fault, and how I was clearly entitled to the Bonus Gig since I also had a qualifying phone. Finally she was transferred to someone who authorized the Bonus Gig (since I was clearly entitled to it) and who indicated that it might take 24 hours to show up on my new Plan. 72 hours later, no change, and the runaround continues some more. The only reason I even came to this forum was to let off some steam since no one could give me an answer.. It's clear that I am entitled to the Bonus Gig yet the last supervisor I spoke with told me that he could only pass the request on to another department via e-mail (no direct contact, etc. even though I gave him the name and employee # of the Verizon rep who indicated the Bonus was approved) and that an answer should be forthcoming in about 7 days. I was very cordial with everyone I spoke with as I understand that they take their direction from the top. The countless hours I have spent dealing with this situation is something that no-one should have to go through, particularily someone who has been a Verizon Plan customer since about year 2000. Everyone seems to agree that I am entitled to the free gig but no one seems to be in a position to help this customer. Its a horrible way to treat someone. I talked with the original saleslady today and told her I would be in tomorrow to turn in the phone and get a new one along with the gig I was entitled to. She said that would be fine and wouldn't be a problem but that she would be happy to try calling Verizon once again to try to resolve the issue. I indicated that I'm done with wasting time taliking with well-meaning and courteous (and I assume underpaid) employees who I assume are pretty much directed from above that any concessions they make, even if the customer is entitled to them, will reflect badly on their employee evaluations . Good thing I am retired or I would really be worked up. They only way I would consider even talking to Verizon anymore on this is if they were to waive the $60 in upgrade fees my wife and I paid for the new phones. A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

Quick follow up, since I was on my phone earlier and am back to a real keyboard.
To access Easy Setup, hit Control Q.
If you click on the blue discosure triangles, a dropdown menu with about a dozen different presets will be displayed. Select the one you want, (Here, I've selected 720P.)
Whatever you select for a preset will not be applied until you make a new sequence. (I don't like to have sequences with different properties in the same project so I prefer to make a new project if I change the Easy Setup.)
Because photo aspect ratios are different than video, I typically put a solid generator of some compatible color on the first track (v1) and put my photos on the track above (v2). Looks better, IMO, than black bars. There are other creative ways to display them. And of course, you could scale them up to fill the frame…but then you probably would have to re-position them.

It sounds like you cannot use either camera, nor the LED as a camera. I want to recommend a couple of things here.
First, close all the open and running apps on the phone:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, I would next backup your device to iTunes, and restore it:
iOS: How to back up and restore your content

I sent the image to my daughter. She printed it and found no lines. I printed the image using Seahorse on my Mac and the lines still appeared. I used basically the same print settings on Mac and PC.

I'm not sure whether I yet have a good intuition for how you have your machine set up, but I suspect you need to include a cryptdevice flag to the kernel in your grub config. The file isn't found because the kernel doesn't know your root directory needs decrypting first.
My setup is an LVM over LUKS over LVM sandwich. To boot into my system, the grub.cfg contains the line:

Now, most of those flags don't have anything to do with your problem, but note the cryptdevice. It tells the kernel it's dealing with an encrypted filesystem sitting in a logical volume called crypt on a volume group called vg. The bit after the colon tells the kernel to associate this encrypted filesystem with /dev/mapper/root.
As for how to fix your system, I'm afraid I still feel a bit fuzzy about how your LVM and encrypted layers relate to each other, whether you have LVM over LUKS, or LUKS over LVM, or something else. Was there a particular how-to that you followed?

When I use it with my temperature logger most of the time I get an Error 66...but some times it does work and actually retrieves the document.
I can use the same address "http://172.22.21.68/XMLfeed.rb" (Internet Explorer or Google Chrome) in my browser and get a response every time. When accessing from my browser the server in the temperature logger does take around 6 seconds to respond, but it does respond every time.
Is the URL Get Document Vi exceeding a timeout? If so, where can I set it to wait longer?

It looks like the TCP Buffered Read has a 2.5 sec timeout, I believe that is where I had trouble as well. Try creating your own URL Get HTTP Doc vi in which you call URL Get Document in normal mode, with an appropriate number of characters to fetch (enough characters so that you capture all the important data in the XML file).

Welcome to the 'wonderful' world of HTML5 e-learning.
In my view, from the issues I am seeing everywhere, HTML5 output from rapid e-learning tools such as Captivate is not ready for the kind of mobile device e-learning you want to develop.
Sorry to be pessimistic, but you may need to consider going back to the drawing board and coding it from the ground up.

The easiest way, IMO, to install apps to a BB is to use the BB web browser to go to the app site...then install from there...if they have formatted it correctly for a BB, it will DL and install automatically.
It is also possible to DL to a PC and install, but you have to follow some more complicated processes...see this KB:
