I am trying to print on hp6540 it wont print

Dear friends i am an absolutely new user to mac and everyday i seek advice to use it step by step. i baught a new printer today which is compatible to the mac aswell. its the hp6540. I printed something on it with my compaq pc worked fine. then when i loaded the installation cd and print a document on it through the i book g4, god knows what rubbish it prints, it prints one line on the first page and then just starts throwing pages out of my printer untill i take the plug off from my printer, can u guys plss help with this.

Hey friends who ever is gonna help me with this printing issue casn u also answer this question plss. I have a compaq windows laptop which is wifi, i have the i bookg4 which is wifi and i have the wireless router in my room through which i share the internet on the two machines, i was wondering is there a way that i can actually connect the printer mannually to one of the comps and then through wireless connection print using the same printer. it might be stupid question but pls dont laugh i was only trying to find out.

When trying to print to PDF from a sales program we use it keeps throwing errors

When several people try to print to PDF from MAS90, it will save it and create a file as it normally does. However, it does not open in Acrobat 9 Pro as it normally does, and displays the famous error "Acrobat could not open 'xxxx.pdf' because it is either not a supported..." Yet when you manually open the file from the file system, it opens just fine.
So to rehash what I just said, when I print to pdf, it asks me where to save, the notification said the printing completed, adobe opens and displays error. If you click on the file, then the file opens just fine.
However several other people do not have this error while trying to print to file from mas90. Does anyone out there have any idea what could possibly be causing this error to be displayed?

Are you saving the PDFs you're creating to a network drive or are they being saved locally?
Do you have this problem when creating PDFs from other applications such as Notepad?

Freezing when trying to print out PDF?

Trying to print out PDF of Aperture 'book'. Each time it freezes on the same page ... this particular page is where I have one image stretched across two pages. Is this possibly a glitch with Aperture?

I've trashed my preferences several times; doesn't seem to help. I've also tried to use two copies of the same picture (right half on right page, left half on left page); but that doesn't work too well, as Aperture seems to want to favor one side or the other – and thus I can't adjust the two sides to match up properly.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated, thank you,

I'm all topped up, big graphics card, latest ver. of Tiger, permissions repaired every day or so. The mystery continues.
I love the IDEA of the two page spread. Have longed for it in Pages, where I'm producing a whole series of books ... a lot of two page spreads (but done by using two versions of the same still).

When trying to print from my computer, it says it cannot connect or find the printer. I tried downloading the most updated software from HP website but it doesn't appear to be helping.

Try resetting the printing system.

Message of "printer offline" when trying to print

I have iphone 4s and a HP wireless printer a little less than 3 years old. When trying to print something from my iphone, it keeps giving me the message "printer offline" with choices for continue or cancel. I hit continue, but same message comes up a minute or two later. This happens even when my printer is awake and wirelss signal is strong. My phone finds the printer when i try to print, but keep getting this printer offline message. Any help would be appreciated.

If your HP printer is not one of those on the HP list, then you wiould need some othe app to print from your iPhone. Search the App Store.

No I didn't even read through your post, to long.
You said that "No matter what program I try to install, as soon as the installer opens it crashes". Were you talking about the install for this/these 3D programs or ANY program? As it is worded it sounded like ANY program. That tells me there is a problem with your Mac, software or hardware.
Now you say others install programs, which is it. Programs other then the 3D ones install or no programs install?
Could simply be your Mac is to old to run these programs and the installer knows that. You never said what model or year Mac it is.

Hp printer cutting off the sides of a pdf document I am trying to print.

I am trying to print a pdf form to fill out, when I try to print it using my hp photosmart premium 309g the sides of the text get cut off the page.
I have been trying to find a boarderless printing setting in the printer settings on OS X 10.7 but have had no luck so far.
I urgently need to get this form printed so ny help would really be appreciated.

For Lion, click the Show Details button to expend the print settings.

I'm trying to print an Ancestry document from an iPad 2 using air print onto a Canon 5350 (one of the printers ok'd by Apple) I am unable to change the print orientation from portrait to landscape. That is I change it in printer settings but no use.

I have already tried reinstalling the printers/drivers. I also tried running Firefox in safe mode, and the issue still persisted.
I installed Firefox 29.0, and the app does not crash upon trying to print.
I have been unable to find any helpful information on this issue. Please advise as to how this can be resolved. Thank you.

I filed a bug for this crash as it has been reported on Mac machines and all of the comments are either printing a webpage or printing a print button.
If I may ask are you using File > Print or is there also a print icon?
Another question for investigation is do you have print_printer?
In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :
