You have to add your artwork in iTunes and then update your iPod:
iPod & iTunes for Dummies - Adding Album Cover Art or Images in iTunes
Add Song Information, Lyrics, and Artwork to My Tunes
Make sure your iPod is enabled to show the artwork. Connect it to your computer and when it shows in iTunes go to Edit>Preferences>iPod>Music tab and tick the box "Display album artwork on your iPod"
A tip for finding suitable artwork is to go to Amazon, locate the album, save the picture to your desktop and drag it to the iTunes artwork pane. Another way would be to locate artwork using Google image search and put the artist or album name and save the picture you find there in the same way. There are also some programs like this one iTunes Art Importer or MP3 Tag

Error 1604

Have you double checked to make sure it hasn't been moved to a different page or folder? Double check your iPod's Restrictions as well to make sure it hasn't been disabled. To do this, head to Settings -> General -> Restrictions.
Default Apps that came with your iPod or Apple's iOS cannot be removed.

I am considering a purchase of the iPod Touch. I have the 80gig classic.
I want to use it as a hand held organizer to track my embroidery threads that I have (or need) patterns I have and such as that. I forget what patterns I have and I just found out I now have 5 of the same thing! YIKES! Also, I would like to be able to access email, or the web, but totally confused how this works. Is there a monthly fee involved? how much? who services? etc. Also I store about 200 photos on my iPod classic, is this a quantity that I can store on the touch? I also have the Epson PhotoFine with a 3.8" diagonal screen that has a 30 gig capacity. I really would like to be able to eliminate all these "gadgets" help sell me on the touch.

1)For your threads, there is a Notes application, where you can manually enter any information on what looks like a notebook page. you can have as many of these as you need.
2)There is an email client, where you can pick a service you use such as yahoo, gmail etc. and the touch will update your inbox either when u want, or every 15 min. or 30 min. etc.
3)There is a safari application, which is the internet browser created by apple. this browser is exactly the same as it is on the computer, not a simplified mobile version of the web. you can search any website that doesnt have flash on it and pinch to zoom in and out to read text easier.
4)There is absolutly no fees for internet or mail on the touch. However it only works in WiFi spots.
5)The touch can easily store 200 photos, it can actually store thousands with no problem all with a beautiful touch display. u can pnich to zoom in and out and literally flick through your pictures.

It sounds like your PC or Mac's internal HD is full. You need to delete some data or move it to an external hard drive or storage device of some sort before you'll be able to successfully complete the restore.
