My daughter iphone 4 appeard to crash, so i t
hvae tried to restore it thru itunes, however, after it has updated the software etc it apears to stop with the message in itunes "Waiting for iphone" having attempted this twice after restarting both phone and mac it appears not to have made a difference
recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not phone
turn phone off
hold home button and plug cable into phone. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore

There is a way to get it recovered from the so called DFU mode. Try to restart the phone while holding the home and power button at the same time. Then try to connect it to iTunes and do the same again. If you try that again till it works you should be able to use your iPhone as before.

I was trying to installed new ios update and suddenly my WIFI connection got desconnect. now I am trying to restore my Ipad2 but getting error saying "the Ipad could not restored, An unknown error accured (3194)". so please help me out to resolve the same.
When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547

Using the latest version of iTunes and iOS5 on my iPhone. Backup of the iphone seems to work fine. My old PC died and I want to transfer my apps to my new PC. But when I start Transfer purchases from my iPhone, it just keeps giving the message "Waiting for changes to be applied" and doesn't do anything. I'm getting worried as I have an iPhone 4s coming and I want to move my 3gs stuff over to my new phone. Anyone know how to fix this?
Had the same thing happen to me a few weeks back when I switched computers and migrated. Here's what worked on my iMac, so maybe it'll work on your iPad, too. Go to User(your home folder)/Music. Select/highlight your "Music" folder. Then do Command-I ("Get Info" from the File menu), click on the padlock icon in the lower right of the new window. Enter your user password. Click on your username just above the now-open padlock. Select "Read & Write" if it's on "Read Only," "Write Only," or "No Access." Now having your user account with "Read & Write" privileges (it may have been this way already; still do this next step), click on the gear on the bottom-center of that window. Click on "Apply to all enclosed items." When the pop-up says "Are you sure?" (or the equivalent), say "yes." This will grant access privileges to your user account for all the music files inside your music folder--all your iTunes stuff included). Then you should be good to go.

I try to sync my I Tunes with my I phone 4 and I keep getting the message waiting for changes to be applied.
What do I need to do to correct this?If you right click on the iPhone's icon on the left of the iTunes display, you should be able to find an option to eject your iPhone. Then connect it and start the sync again.

I'm trying to restore my 3GS from a previous back-up point on my PC, but I can't remember the password and if I wrote it down I can't find it. I don't want to do a complete factory restore as I'll lose all my data (phone numbers etc) and I still won't be able to access the restore data. Can anyone help?

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. I was halfway updating my phone to iOs7 when it froze halfway through where it shows the apple symbol. So I turned it off and now it says that I have to connect to iTunes. So I did and it said it was in the recovery mode and should be restored. I restored it and then it come up with a message that says "iPhone cannot be restored. An unknown error occured (3194) What can i do to fix it? Please!

Yes, I have the exact same problem with my 4s! Updated to iOS 7 and can't sync. It's extremely frustrating, as music is crucial in my daily life. I was able to remove all songs from my iPhone...and now when I try to sync the 4,000 or so I've selected, it will sync maybe 11 or 12 (if it gets past the "Waiting for changes to be applied" screen), and then just completely stop. I have restored the i pad and reinstalled i tunes' no help
I had a similar issue in that it would proceed to backing up however when it had reached the last step it would remain frozen on "waiting for changes to be applied". I'm not sure if the source of this problem is connected to yours but what I did was quit all the apps on my computer, restarted and during the restart held 'option+command+P+R' what this does is it zaps the P-RAM which basically makes the computer forget what it remembers about the applications that were open. The computer uses some room on the RAM cards to store information about recent applications open so that when you open them the second time it does it much faster giving the illusion your computer is fast to begin with. Now this zaps that so you'll have a fresh iTunes running.. Like I said this worked for me but it may not for you but give it a try

Ok I need help. I went to use my phone, put in my passcode, emergency dial came up, then the phone said I didn't have an imei #. I hit the back button and then I was told I needed to restore and update using iTunes. I tried several times to do this and my phone is still not working. It acts like it's updating, but once the bar reaches the other side of my phone, iTunes tells me there was an error. I used all the ports on my pc, changed cables, restarted my pc, and still nothing. Can anyone please help me. This phone is my life and I can't afford to get another one.
Sounds like you might need to take it to an Apple Store but if it is an iPhone 3G it would no longer be under warranty.
Looking at the Apple Store online you can get an iPhone 3GS from $49 on AT&T if it comes to having to get a new one. Your other option is second hand. -

Ive had the N97 for 2 months now with various problems. Todays new one comes in the form of when i tried to take a picture in low lighting. To the left of the screen when in landscape mode a transparent green half sphere appears when the camera lens
