I am trying to run a PLC software, Click, on a Mac Pro with a windows partition and windows 8.1 software. The software runs fine, but cannot recognize a USB port. Does anyone have an answer for this or tried the same thins?
I am trying to run iTunes on a PC with Windows 8.1, but the setup wizard tells me there is no space on the D:/ drive, which makes sense, since my D:/ drive is a CD-ROM.
Even though you're getting a slightly different error message, try the following user tip:
"Invalid drive X:\" install errors

Apple tech so far hasn't helped except to advise me to get manuals online that Sony doesn't post on its website. I've sent off an inquiry to Sony but don't expect an answer. Apple assumes my devices are bluetooth but the iPad2 hasn't figured out how to discover them, and I don't know how to make them discoverable. I'd like to have the option to use them but so far haven't been able to figure out how.

On the iPad, go to Settings-General-Bluetooth. Set Bluetooth to ON and a new window appears while the iPad searches for Bluetooth devices.
To get the keyboard into a discoverable mode, you may need to remove its batteries for a while. If it is not possible to get it to appear on the iPad, could the keyboard be defective? Can it be discovered by other computers?

I have an iMac 27" which is 4 years old and probably overdue for a clean-up. Is there any good reliable software out there that would help?
Has anyone had any experience of 'Mackeeper'?Check how many applications are starting when you log in, I found that if there was a lot of activity at login Finder did not display the icons on the desktop correctly, again like you it did not occur at every login, just occasionally.
For Safari have you tried resetting Safari, if that does not help you could disable plugins and extensions one at a time. You may find one of those is causing the problem. -

thanks, technoreidHow much spare hard disc space have you got? ..Could your disc be so clogged that there's no room for any more movie?
You'll need about 10% of your total hard disc space - e.g; 6GB for a 60GB hard disc - to be kept empty for your Mac to do its "housekeeping" (..creating temporary files, indexing things, and so on..) and iMovie footage uses about 13GB per hour of video.
So if you have a 60GB hard disc, and it's only got 15GB spare, then 6GB of that will really be needed by the Mac itself, giving you about 9GB of usable space, and if you import half an hour of video (6GB) and start cutting it around and editing the audio too, and duplicating a few clips, and adding stills, you're soon going to run out of space!
If your Mac's disc is almost full, you'll probably need to get an external FireWire disc ..say a 160GB or similar size.. then format it as 'Mac OS Extended' (..by selecting that add-on disc and using the 'Erase' tab in the Disk Utility program..) and then you can copy your project over to that new, empty disc, and continue editing it there. -
Adobe Creative Cloud - has anybody had any luck running Adobe CC on a new mac mini? Does it run slow for Photoshop?
Adobe CC applications are very large and the base Mac mini isn't a good choice because it has only 4GB of RAM and has a slow standard hard drive. To get the most out of ACC you should upgrade the mini to at least 8GB. I'd also choose an SSD or Fusion drive for better performance.

I've been trying since June st to get the X-fi software fully operational. Problem is i can't get the 24 bit crystalizer, the CMSS, or the EAX effects/options working. I'm sorry to say, but it looks like the soundblaster-x-fi app for vista was really a half a$$ed effort compared to the look, design, and functionality of the full suite in xp. I mean...i dont even have access to the full EQ which i used when using XP, and that's one of the reasons i spent the money to get this card. Any help would be appreciated

when i have option selected, i can't use the keyboard/system tray volume control

I really just need to know how to get it to open. I have created files in CC that now won't open, saying they were created in a newer version... which they weren't. i thought the remedy would be to download InDesign 2014, but i can't even get it to open on my computer. Any advise is welcomed.
The CC installers often fail to set permissions correctly on the preference folders. Are you getting an error message to that effect?
If so, find the folders -- they're hidden so you need to set Explorer to show hidden files, then see Replace Your Preferences for the locations of the TWO folders you need to fix. Start at the Adobe level and make sure both your user and System have full control, and apply it to subfolders as well. -
Anyone had any luck with trying to get a nano sim from the carriers yet?
These nano sims are a bit annoying seems like all the carriers in the UK, mine being Orange won't give me one till the 21st. That means I'll have my Iphone from Apple on the 21st but won't be able to use it as a phone because Orange refuse to give me a sim for it

Two possibilities for you:

Where can I get Window's software for my Macbook Pro? I'm trying to run ARCview. However, it requires Windows. I'm trying Bootcamp. but, it isn't recognising the disk that I currently have.
Maybe because it's not a 'genuine' retail version? Many OEM versions just don't work - and I've no idea which flavor of Win7 your friend downloaded. Obviously one that Boot Camp doesn't recognize. Best to just pony up the cash for a full retail version, of some flavor - and use it. You COULD, of course, download the 14-day trial version of Parallels Desktop and see if you can install Win7 as a virtual machine... it might or might not work. Boot Camp just isn't finding the resources it needs on the copy you have - try Parallels and if that doesn't work just purchase a retail (or student discounted) version.

I assume jperf is the name of you class that has the main method in it. If not then this is one problem.
If you application uses anything other than classes out of the standard Java rt.jar file then you need to specify the additional jar files in the classpath
java -classpath myPackage.jar jperf
P.S. If you main class is called jperf maybe you should think of a better name with a bit of capitalisation.
IPerfGraphicalFrontEndMain maybe? OK it is more typing but using names that say what they are helps a lot in the end. -
I cannot update iTunes because when I run the Apple Software Updater, it says "'iTunes + QuickTime' has an invalid signature. It will not be installed." If I try downloading only it says "'iTunes cannot update. Invalid signature. Can someone help?

I have lost AirPlay (with iPad and iPod touch (new) both on os5 ) and sharing with my PC (uptodate iTunes) since accepting a software upgrade to the Apple TV yesterday. I have tried restoring and reinstalling this software but this failed to solve the problem. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Also check that the ports 5353 and 5354 (Bonjour (mDNSResponder), AirPlay, Home Sharing, Printer Discovery) are open on Windows Firewall.

I am using Fedora-Core 15 with kernel, 2.6.43.8_1.fc15.i686. I am trying to use NI-KAL ver 2.1 which does not support my version. But it compiles, the nikal driver loads correctly. But after a rebboot it crashes.
