I am trying to sync media to my iphone and my laptop is saying sync failed to start

WHAT DO I DO !!!!!

This is a software issue on your computer and requires extensive troubleshooting.
- your last backup or your backup folder might be faulty
- you might have conflictying software installed
- or .... a dozen other possibilities
To approach the issue systematically you should test the issue with a different admin user on your computer to see if the issue is user specific or sytem wide. Depending on the result the next steps have to be taken.
If this goes beyond your experience you should find somebody to help you or contact Apple and pay for them helping you.
