If so:
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. Next hit your BIO's key and set the cd to boot first, run the scanner and see what it pops up.
If your all clear then create another Admin, transfer your files over from the first Admin.
See if that works, eventually when your totally over to the new Admin, delete the old one.
If you can't create a new Admin, find out who locked your machine down, like your parents or it's a school computer?
Likely installed spyware or "nanyware" to watch you.

my current version of premiere is 2014.0 and the manager tells me everything is up to date. after deinstalling and reinstalling i am still with version 2014.0
i work on a mac with os x version 10.9.5
when i try to download it manually from the website it just pushes me back to the app.
i reinstalled the manager app without any changes.
what can i do to get the newest version?
i have a project i need to work on and i can't open it :/

HUGELY FRUSTRATING!! Getting a "network connection timed out" error after waiting three hours for the download to complete is unacceptable. Had this problem running Windows 7 on an HP wireless laptop, IE 8, and Microsoft Security Essentials as my anti-virus. I had just updated my iTunes to the latest version so I didn't want to wipe out the whole thing and re-download as some boards suggested (I'd also tried that last year on another computer that did the same thing on an iPod update - didn't work). I also did not want to totally disable my anti-virus program.
After reading many discussions online about the problem, here's what worked for me on the first try. You need to add some Apple and Verisign addresses to your Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer:
In Internet Explorer go to Tools, Internet Options, Security tab. Click on Trusted sites, then click the Sites button. I also unchecked the "disable server verification (https) for all sites in this zone" box (under the box that will show your trusted sites). Here's what I added. (The underlining here is not mine - done by this site reading my entries as internet addresses. They won't underline when you enter them in trusted sites):

Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in a folder from which you can install the product iTunes.
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

There is no way to update a 3G to iOS 4.3.x using approved Apple procedures (meaning using iTunes), so presumably you used a non-approved procedure to do it. You may now have an iBrick, but you can try to restore it to a supported version using iTunes and DFU mode. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808. If this fails there may still be a way, but you won't find it in this forum. You need to try some iPhone hacking sites.

I just got a new iPhone 4 and when trying to update it to the newest software I get a message saying that 'Error -5000' has occurred...
