We do have a place in the UK which we could use as an address, but for various reasons it gets a bit complex even though we still have a UK bank account. We moved to France when there were no iDevices and apps around, just bought the occasional music, so it wasn't a problem. Funny thing is I can't even download the free UK bank app because it's not available in the French store .
I'll live with the problem for now as we plan to move back to the UK in a year or so - we miss the weather .

Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them whether you are using the Apple ID for new purchases or not. All future updates will require the password for this original Apple ID. This can't be changed. The only way to stop this would be to delete these apps from your phone and iTunes library and repurchase them using your current ID.

If you're positive the information is correct, ask the issuing bank why the transaction is being rejected.
You're getting this error because the store can not authorize the card with your bank.

There are a number of threads about it - it looks like Apple recently updated their address validation. Some people have recorded success by :
    ensuring that their iTunes account address is exactly the same as appears on their credit card bill
    putting something in the second line of the address (including just copying the first line)
    expanding abbreviations e.g. St to Street, Ave to Avenue etc (or conversely abbreviating)
    putting apartment or suite number on the second address line

Well, I just purchased Linksys wifi and hooked it up. It's running fine. When I go to my IPhone settings to see is I'm connected to a wifi, it shows that I am not connected. Take the SIM out and reseat it. Was your phone jailbroken or unooficially unlocked? If so then when you upgraded the phone locked again to the original carrier. If that is the case you need a SIM from that carrier to use the phone or you could contact that carrier and have them unlock it for you
