I am trying to upload dives from my dive computer onto my macbook pro but program says serial port not found - dive computer is listed on macdive
I have a dive program called Macdive and am trying to upload my dives from my Sherwood Wisdom dive computer via usb lead. The dives will not upload and program says that serial port not found. does anyone know how I can activate?

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

I am trying to update Microsoft Office 12.3.3 on my Macbook Pro, but once it is installed terminal opens. What am I supposed to enter into Terminal?
Still trying to understand. You install one of the MS updates (most recent was 14.2.2) and after the update completes (before the installer quits) terminal opens? Or the installer quits and then terminal opens?
And who is prompting for "Check for updates" ("get taken back" to what)? Is this coming from office, say when you run Word? Certianly the updater doesn't cause this prompt. -

I transferred my files from a G4 to a new macbook pro, but I can't access my old songs in itunes. I clicked on library in itunes and get the mac page to access mp3 and acc files but it doesn't work. Any suggestions?
They maybe corrupt, try transferring again from the g4. If iTunes is giving you an error then you need to authorize your computer with the same iTunes account as previously. Also, you could try exporting your iTunes library via iTunes on the g4.

I have been trying to download java for my macbook pro, but for some reason the function is not recognizing the internet. I am on and have checked several times .... I copied my iTunes music from an old computer to a new Macbook pro but it did not copy the playlists that are on my Nano. How can I copy the playlists and their content on the nano to the Macbook? If I automatically sync the nano from the Macbook, will it scrub the content and existing playlists on the nano?

how do i stop this and get my music onto my iphone?If you look at the details of the error message displayed on your computer, iTunes will show you which songs and account(s) have not been authorized on your computer.
Songs from other people's iTunes accounts are usually the culprit. These songs can be added to your iTunes library by file sharing software, or by perhaps by your friends trying to share music with you.
If you don't recognize the iTunes account that purchased the unauthorized songs, you should probably get rid of them or investigate other (probalby not very legal) methods for working around the problem.
