I am trying to sync iCloud with MS Outlook 2010. I cannot see my contacts in iCloud or the Calendar. I have tried multiple things; delete the iCloud from control panel and reinstall, turn on/off the calendar and contacts in iCloud panel, repair iCloud and Outlook, and I still cannot see my contacts. Any ideas? Thanks,

I have a similar problem. Additionally, my ipad will not sync my notes with icloud.

Can i use my laptop which is running Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade from Vista to stream photos using ICloud. The outlook programme used is 2003 and i my devices are IPad mini and IPhone 5. My problem is that i able to drag pictures into ICloud for it to send to my devices but nothing happens. Why?

A hard drive if it has failed will sometimes allow you to boot into windows but may not work completely (Eg: In a scenario, where system partition ;where windows is installed works fine but logical partition of hard drive has gone bad).
On certain conditions, if the hard drive is on verge of failure may/may not respond completely. I would suggest you to run a diagnostics using Seagate Seatools which works on any hard drive irrespective of manufacturer to actually confirm if your hard drive has failed.
Also, any hard drive can fail in spite of it been 1yr old or 1day old as its all manufactured in bulk and most of it comes from China

A brief and probably non-helpful answer: I know of no way to eliminate your large amount of duplicates other than by repetitive, tedious manual effort.
*There has got to be a simpler way.*

What do you mean "not working"? That could mean multiple different things.
If help is desired, be as specific as possible.

If there were more, perhaps from another error log in the system, to
point to other contributing factors in the cause of this action & report,
some course of correction could be indicated; should that involve a
reinstall of certain programs (and their update files, as Office has) or
perhaps removing other seldom used applications if they were proven
to be part of conflict in the system, with Office triggering its appearance.
Some troubleshooting of this issue may point to some course of action
and if the problem is only software-based, then it may involve testing
or moving, or reinstalling some applications. There is a chance, too,
that something else may be acting up at a low-level of the system. If
that were the case, sometimes a re-install of the system on a wiped
and zeroed drive would be a path to consider to test or resolve this.
But only after other things have been tried. If you have a full backup
of the computer's contents on a bootable external drive, that would be
a means of testing the computer itself.

IO operations using ActiveX with Windows 8 64bit and IE 11 not working

We are using ActiveX for downloading file from the server, It works well with Windows 7 and XP but there is issue with Windows 8 and IE 11.It doesn't give any error for downloading files using ActiveX but file not downloaded and even does not generate log
file for the issues and error.
We are confused because it doesn't throw any error while log generation or downloading file
Is there any limitation for ActiveX with Windows 8 for IO operations.
We are stuck at this point. please help

find your activeX control in the list, make sure it is enabled and supports both x86 and x64.

Internet Options>Security tab, click "Reset all zones to default"
file>Properties menu to find out which IE Security zone your web page with the activeX maps to.

Trying to use Airport Express (2012) in Hotel and it is not working

Hey folks, the title pretty much says it all. I picked up a new AE last week, and wanted to use while I travel to share out my hotels wired connection to my computers, iPhone and iPad. I am pretty good with networking, so I can't seem to figure out how to get around the double NAT error that I am getting from the Airport utility. It appears that the hotels network is blocking me from connecting. If I use my back up travel router (Zuni Connect) everything works fine. It appears the AE is not getting along with the hotel. Any ideas on how to get around this?

I traveled for years with an AirPort Express and have had virtually no problems connecting to the hotel networks if an Ethernet port is provided in the room.
Up until a few years ago, configuring the Express in Bridge Mode worked just fine, as hotels would allow several devices to connect without problems.
Unfortunately, hotels have become a lot smarter as they look for ways to generate more revenue. Many hotels now will only allow one connection if the Express is configured in Bridge Mode, so I started using the Express in router mode about 3 years ago to get around this.
Security wise, this is actually a bettter arrangement as Tesserax notes, because other users at the hotel cannot "see" your devices.
The Double NAT "error" can be ignored with an option in AirPort Utility if you wish, and the Express will display a nice, green light.
I have no trouble connecting 3-4 devices this way and the hotel only "sees" one device, so they only charge for one connection.
When the hotel only has wireless, that is when I bring out the second Express that I travel with, so I can use one Express to "join" the hotel network and provide an Ethernet signal to the second Express, which is configured as a router to allow multiple devices to connect. The hotel only "sees" one connection this way.

IPod Touch will NOT sync! Have tried EVERYTHING! ... suggestions anyone?

I have no idea what is going on, my iPod touch is only 6 months old and in good condition. I've never dropped or anything like that, no computer crashes or surges that would cause any problems with it, and up until this morning, it has been working fine connecting to my netbook and such, downloading and all that.
I have tried re-installing iTunes TWICE, and it still will not recognize my iPod at all. It will charge it, but just not recognize it. I updated the usb driver and thought that was that problem because it actually seemed like it was out of date and re-started the computer, but it still didn't work.
I have no idea why it all of a sudden is not recognizing my iPod, and could use any suggestions. I really wanted to enjoy using my iPod this Memorial Day Weekend and hope someone can help me.

Jailbroken means to jailbreak it, but I will not go in to detail, as Apple does not allow it. Do not do it if you find out what it is, Apple voids your warenty, and it can go seriously wrong and brick your iPod. See Syncing and arranging apps from the App Store for how to sync apps on iTunes, and Syncing music to iPod or iPhone for syncing music.

I received the same error when using the buildserver command with one of the -f
files built as a .o file using the CC compiler.

If you run buildclient or buildserver -v, you will see the flags passed
to the compiler. TUXEDO 7 passes +DA1.1, which is going to build a
binary that can run on older HP systems, but not perform as well. If you
want to use the more modern instruction set, you can pass "-f+DA2.0" on
the build line, which will override the DA1.1.
In general, the TUXEDO build utilities are fairly conservative. If you
notice, they do not even pass the optimizer flag, -O, to the compiler.
We feel that you should be building your .o files yourself, using the
appropriate compiler options, and then use our build commands to do the
final linking.
And if you are running on HP, you really need to learn about the
different machine architectures and compiler options. Start with "man
cc".
