Enable Plug-ins
Safari > Preferences > Security
Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
Enable it.
Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.

Green screen when trying to watch a video on youtube
Every time I go onto Youtube I get the pictures but when I press to play something the screen goes green and I only have the sound. I am confused how to fix the problem.

I can't see any videos in sites like Youtube. I have Quicktime Mac versions 10 in the application folder and Mac version 7.6 in the utilities folder. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks.
*** may have found a fix ? *** Thanks to your post re: GDI objects I checked task manager ( added column "GDI objects")and saw 700+ whereas working 6.18 was 160 ish Got thinking - what could possibly use that many GDI objects ( firefox only uses a few hundred and it's a platform ) Then it hit me - emoticons ! So in tools/ options/ IM&SMS/ IM Appearance unchecked "show emoticons"and also unchecked "show images and other media previews"restarted Skype and GDI objects now only 164 ( down from 729 )and all other windows are repainting fine and are usable again( my problem was RDP sessions that became unusable, as I work remotely ) To be sure, have rechecked the options and restarted skype and see 700+GDI objects ( goes up from 660 when place call to echo/sound test )and removed them again to get only 164have also rebooted a few times and gone through the whole processof unchecking emoticons, restart, rechecking emoticons, restart to make sure itsnot a fluke. pretty sure this has fixed it for me ( so I now have a working 7.6.0.105 on XP SP3 ),and as your problem "sounds" the same I hope it also works for you. My sound isn't working at all. i am trying to watch a video on youtube. suggestions?
my sound isnt working, i have tried all of the help suggestions but i still cant hear anything. Any suggestions?
Some other things to check:
In system preferences/sound/output, make sure the volume is turned up, and mute is not checked.
Make sure that the volume control at the bottom of the youtube screen is turned up. (Youtube menu bar)
If you have no sound at all, with any source, try taking a set of headphones and plug them in and out several times.
Try a NV/PRAM reset:
Quit all applications, power off, power back on holding the following keys: OPTION COMMAND P R
Continue to hold these keys till you hear the start chime 2 times, then release, reboot.

ipod stuck on the apple logo. i did the itunes thing but it tells me error and gives me a code saying i need to update itunes but it was and i did again but it still said the same thing. help how do i fix my ipod.
Hey Edgar, how exactly did you do the updates? Are you running iTunes 11.2.2? And you iPod 5 is still running iOS 6.1.2 as your tag shows? or are you running iOS 7.1.1? More info would be helpful. As Deggie asked, what was the error message, the more detailed the better. One more thing-- is this a Mac machine or a PC? Cheers.

I believe there is a technique which uses some similar suggestion to unwittingly tempt the user into installing malware, in order to be able to watch some (usually sexually explicit) video, so be aware of this ruse.
The only things I would download would be Perian that extends Quicktime, available here,

and if that did not do it, then try VLC to use instead of Quicktime. -
I have a problem with youtube...i can't watch some videos from youtube! They stop after few seconds of playing!! what can i do to fix it??
Try loading the same video in different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer are your best options). If the issue is across all of them, make sure you've downloaded the latest version of Flash at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
If it's still stopping after that...Do the tried and tested method for everything: reset your router. -

stevejobsfan is correct; iwork for ios is free only for new purchases of new ios devices. A good work around (if you have wifi connectivity) is going to the icloud website on your ipad, and working on your document.
A word of caution (the real reason I am responding to your post). If you do a lot of 'formatting' of a document on iwork for mac, and then save it in icloud; you will probably loose most of the formatting you have done (this will be true if you oppen the document in iwork for ios; also) It happened to me, and I did not duplicate the document before saving it to icloud; I lost at least an hours worth of work. -

Hopefully, FCP X has an autosave feature Like Final Cut Pro Studio so that you may already have a recent copy. If I were in your shoes, I'd try an ESC or something similar before going to a Forced Quit.

since this morning when i try to watch a video in youtube fullscreen the video gets slow and its cuts off. it happens only in firefox Help me please.if i watch the video in you tube normal size its correct the problem is just in fullscreen mode.You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:
*disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Sometimes it's necessary to uninstall then reinstall that plugin.
Uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.
Now launch Safari and try a video.
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
You may also need to delete the cache associated with Safari .
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go the move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a video.
