I am trying you use a school website and the internet keeps asking for a certificate and won't let me in

so i am trying to use canvas on the internet for my college class and the mac keeps saying i need a certificate well it has one and I click on it but it wont let me continue it asks for the certificate again and I really need to be able to use that website it has all my homework on it
