  • Unable to open skydrive docs files with Lumia

    Hello, I can open  doc files from skydrive with PC and browser, but not with Lumia phone office application. There is text : "there were some problems opening this file, some part may be missing. You may correct the problem opening and fixing the problem with PC"  I opened original and skydrive saved files. They were working normally with Openoffice or with browser but not with lumia. Thank you for your help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    OpenOffice is known to not write fully Office compliant files. It may well be that is you open in Office and then save as a new file it will load up fine.   OpenOffice != Office and do not let them make you believe it is !

  • Unable to pick up the file from Receive Location

    BizTalk is  unable to pick up the files from receive location.
    My admin console is working so slow.
    It is showing the problem of snap-in as follows:
    I have checked all my receive location and its masking,it is working fine.
    Actually it is working fine in dev server(snap-in problem is not occuring in dev server ) but when I import MSI and binding in UAT server.
    It is not picking up the file from receive location.
    I want to know one more thing :if my message box database is not working fine,will it receive the files from receive location.
    Prakash

    For files not received by receive location. If the Receive Location is still enabled but files are not processed by Receive Location, then check whether the host instance  configured with your receive location is running. If the host instance is in
    running state, restart the host instance and try.
    Regarding the error in the admin console as shown in the image, people started to see this issue with admin console from BizTalk 2009 onwards. This happens in cases like you have done some activity with console and before its been refreshed it you do more
    activities like expanding the node you will see this error. Sometimes WMI is bit slowly to refresh your admin console screen. Just wait for few seconds untill the WMI screen is rendered completely. Ensure you have all the cumulative updates installed for your
    version of BizTalk and also ensure the service pack for your OS is updated.
    Obviously if message box is not working, files will not be received/processed. But if message box is not in healthy state this would affect all other application not just one and in-fact it would affect entire BizTalk not just Receive Locations.
    To start analysing this file not been processed by Receive Location, start with checking the host instance as mentioned.

  • Unable to install "InstallESD.dmg" file from OS X Mounstain Lion?

    Hi,
    Unable to install "InstallESD.dmg" file from OS X Mounstain Lion, i've downloaded OS X Mavericks and installed on other machine. However, i took backup of "Show Package Contents" before installing.When i try to install ""InstallESD.dmg" file some other Mac machine. When i double click on it its open Packages folder instead of installer.
    Please suggest me, how can i install OS X Mavericks for My Mac machines.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Suresh Balakrishnan.

    Unfortunately with OS X Mavericks you can't use the InstallESD.dmg file as an installer. You have to use either DiskMaker X 3.0.4 or Mavericks Bootable Disk Creation Tool or do an Internet search for the Terminal command that can be used to create a bootable Mavericks installer on an external drive (e,g, USB thumb drive).
    You will need the Install OS X Mavericks.app from the Mac App Store to use with all of the above solutions.

  • Cant open doc files from the server on MacBook Air after upgrading to Maverick

    Cant open doc files from the server on MacBook Air after upgrading to Maverick, I can only open up docx file. Thank you!

    Thanks for the suggestion! I don't use Phantasm or VectorScribe (or any Astute Graphics plugins for that matter). I do, however, have a Wacom tablet and have a few plugins that concern using Blurb Book Creator as well as LiveSurface Context.
    I did the very unfortunate and foolish act of upgrading to Maverick without a backup, so postponing isn't an option for me.
    I geuss my question at this point would be, would it be worthwhile to wipe all the adobe products from my harddrive and re-install them? Or would that be a useless endeavor.
    I don't have an external hard-drive so backing up and re-installing the entire OS would be a bit much. Any suggestions?

  • Not opening .doc files from cd??

    Hi,
    I have various .doc files on cd. I want to use pages to open them. When i drag them from the cd onto either the pages icon or try the same using "file, open" from within pages i get an error message saying that it cannot open the file.
    If i drag the same .doc files onto the hard drive first i can open them in pages no problem.
    I need to be able to open them from the cd. Does anyone know what is wrong here or how it can be fixed?
    Many thanks.

    Hello
    My guess is that the device must be set as read/write to permit to expand the Index.xml.gz file which contains the doc's description.
    I just guess because I saw the Index.xml file during the save process but, even with huge documents I was unable to see the expansion process at work.
    I was also able to see the Index.xml file if I double click the Index.xml.gz icon.

  • Opening .doc files from IFS

    Hi,
    I have a question about some functionality in the default web package with ifs. It is probably quite basic, but I am having difficulty with it. In the out of the box web ui, if I click on an uploaded .doc file, Microsoft Word gets loaded in my browser with the file openned.
    I am using the JAVA API, and I have uploaded and foldered a .doc file. When I click on it, href="//computer/path/file.doc" word opens, but I get the file was not found.Any ideas?? Thank you.

    The decision on which application the browser runs is taken by the browser based on information supplied in the HTTP response.
    Here's an updated version of the RenderContent method that gives you some degree of control over this process...

  • Unable to read a resources file from my page

    Hi,
    I am trying to read a file from the project resources and I can't have access to the physical file. I have the following code in my page:
    javax.faces.context.ExternalContext ec = this.getExternalContext();
    URL url = ec.getResource("/resources/displayPassengers.xsl");
    InputSource inputSourceXSL = new InputSource(url.toExternalForm());
    InputStream inpStreamXSL = null;
    if (inputSourceXSL.getByteStream() != null) {
    log("Loading xml file: " + url.toExternalForm());
    inpStreamXSL = inputSourceXSL.getByteStream();
    } else {
    log("Unable to extract URL from Page context: WEB-INF/displayPassengers.xsl");
    The url is not null.
    The inputSourceXSL is not null and inputSourceXSL.getByteStream() is always null.
    Please let me know how to access the file.
    Rgrds.

    this should work
    InputSource inputSourceXSL = new InputSource(url.openStream());

    Hello courtneym48375386,
    Could you please let me know what version of Outlook are you using.
    Please try opening some other PDF file and check if the same issue persists as this might be a document specific issue.
    Also, what happens if you try opening the file in Acrobat?
    Let me know.

  • I am unable to attach a PDF file from Documents

    I am unable to access and attach a PDF file from Documents

    I assume you are trying to attach a PDF to an email. I can perform this task several ways.
    With a Finder window open and the PDF showing in that window, drag the PDF to the Mail app icon on the dock. This creates a new email and attaches the PDF to it. (PDFs tend to attach in inline view mode, that is you can see the entire document. To see it as a file icon right click on the PDF text and select View as Icon.)
    I can drag the PDF directly into an open new email message if both the email message and the PDF file can be seen.
    There's an icon on the Mail toolbar that looks like a paper clip. Click on it to get a file selector and drill down until you see the PDF. Select it and click OK.
    Select Attachments from the Edit menu and choose Attach file to end of message

  • Can't open MS Word .doc files from SharePoint 2013 document library?

    Hello,
    I have uploaded some MS Word files with .doc extension into a SharePoint 2013 document library, but they don't open when clicked.  I can do a number of things to the file, like view and edit properties, download and other things, but it does not
    open up when mouse clicked.  There are PDF files in the document library and they open up just fine.  Any ideas?
    I should add that MS Word 2010 .docx files can not be opened either.
    Thanks.
    Paul

    Hi,
    Whether you use office 2013.
    Considering this .doc file can be smoothly opened in Office if you downloaded it to your local, it indicates that the Word document and Microsoft Word doesn’t have any problems. The issue may be caused by the compatibility between Office
    and your site.
    1.Check whether you have the SharePoint OpenDocuments Class add on enabled at first.
    Internet Explorer >Tools iron > Manage add-ons >
    Choose to Show All add-ons. Find SharePoint OpenDocuments Class and make sure it’s enabled.
    2.go to Compatibility view settings > add your SharePoint site to compatibility view
    3.go to Internet Options,
    Advanced > Reset… > Check Delete personal settings and reset
    Security > Trusted sites > sites > add SharePoint sites to trusted sites
    4.If it doesn’t work, please open Word, go to Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Protected View > Uncheck all.
    Best Regards,
