I AM UNABLE TO ACCESS FEW WEBSITES

I AM UNABLE TO ACCESSS FEW WEBSITES ,THE MESSAGE APPEAR IN THE SCREEN SHOT APPEAR WHEN I ACCESS
The connection has timed out
*The server at apps.tinker.af.mil is taking too long to respond.
*The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a
few moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make
sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web

On your Mac, using *System Preferences* > Network click on the interface you're using (probably either Airport or Ethernet), then click on the Advanced button. If you haven't done any explicit configuration for your network then under the TCP/IP tab you should have configure IPv4 set to use DHCP. Under the DNS tab there should be just one gray entry (auto populated) with the IP address of your router.
Good luck
Oh - one more thing - when wanting a clean reboot ( +I don't mean a factory reset+ ) of a domestic grade router a general recommendation is to leave it turned off for 3-5 minutes so that it will properly discharge any circuits/memory that might be maintained by residual charge in capacitors etc.

  • HT1338 unable to access certain websites

Unable to access certain websites using safari browser.  any ideas!!!!

One of the first things you want to try is if you can get to these same sites on TMG itself. Create an Access rule that allows HTTP and HTTPS from Localhost (TMGs network adapter) to Anywhere (it's under Computer Sets). Apply it and then make sure that IE
is not set to use anything for a proxy. Clear all the boxes. Can you browse these sites? If not then your proxy clients will not be able to. Open a command prompt and use nslookup to see if TMG is resolving the sites. Remember that proxy clients rely on TMG
to do the name resolution for them. If it is not working then you will have a problem.

  • WRT320N Ver 1 - UNABLE TO ACCESS 1 WEBSITE I have been accessing for a year.

As of two days ago, I am unable to access www.rolexforums.com
Now, this website ONLY (to my knowledge) is being blocked by the wireless router.  No one has made any changes to the settings.  I have reset the router back to factory specs, and upgraded to the latest firmware.  I have reset everything multiple times, and looked to see if somehow that site was added to my blocked list, which was never set up, and remains empty. That whole section has always been disabled and remains disabled.  I worked with Cisco Tech Support and they could not resolve the issue.
    Cannot ping the site.

    Then I stopped it.....
I have been accessing this site for months with this wireless router and all the same computers without any issues.  When I try now, I get:
    Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.rolexforums.com/” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.
When I try with a PC laptop and the PC that is directly cabled to the WRT320N I get the windows equivalent message.
When I connect any computer directly to the cable modem, I have no connectivity problems....
Has anyone else ever experienced such an issue, and if so, how was it resolved, if it was resolved.
    Thank you!

In the router lower the MTU to 1365, save settings and try again.

  • Unable to access certain websites

for the past week or so I've been unable to access a number of websites. they're timing out halfway through the connection. other sites hosted by the same companies work fine. looking through the archives i found a similar issue from a year ago in MD. I'm in MA. a group ticket was opened for that MD issue and the problem ultimately was resolved, although i'm not sure what the problem or the solution were.

  • Unable to access certain websites and game servers when using E1500

I've been having a strange intermitent problem with my E1500 wireless router.  When we first bought and installed it everything was working well with no known problems.  After several months no one using the router was able to access certain websites as well as a game server that we play on.  No one had made any changes to the router settings and I assumed at first that it was an ISP problem.  After talking with our ISP tech support they finally suggested plugging my PC directly into the modem rather then the router.  I did and found that the websites and servers that previously wouldn't connect while using the router were now reachable.  As I said not myself or anyone else had made any changes to the router settings since installation.  I decided that just in case someone unauthorized had made changes to simply revert the router to factory settings and reinstall the software.  After doing this I found that I could again reach the websites and servers that I previously could not.  So time went on with no problems until a few months later when the same websites and servers were again unreachable by anyone on our router.  I again reset the router to factory settings and changed passwords as a precaution, but this time the websites and servers were unreachable even though I had just reset the router.  I'm a little confounded as to what could possibly be causing this.  I have had family and friends who live elsewhere use the websites and servers during all of my troubles, so I'm certain that they were not simply down.  I'd greatly appreciate any and all help.
A few of the places that are unreachable to me are as follows:
    http://wiki.project1999.org
    http://www.project1999.org
    http://chaoslife.findchaos.com

Perhaps, you could flash or update the firmware to the latest. Reset and reconfigure the router. You can download firmware here http://support.linksys.com/en-us/support/routers/E1500.

  • Unable to access some websites on E900

    Hello,
    I recently purchased E900.
But I am having issues with web access. Only few websites are accessible. Others don't open up.
    - Using latest firmware
    - Tried multiple browsers on multiple laptops
    - Tried disabling QOS.
If I bypass the router and directly connect to modem, everything works fine.
I know there is some issue with router.
    Please help.

  • Some users on network unable to access a website

I am not sure on the root of the problem with this on, so I don't really know where to post, but thought I would start here.
We are a 12 person office on a small network. Someone here was trying to access a website (http://www.shutterstock.com), and the site would just spin and spin and eventually time out. We tried on some of the other machines, and they could not access it either, with the exception of one machine, which can access the site with no problem. All of us are running the same version of everything, same security settings, etc. Anyone have any thoughts on why 1 person on the network can access the site, and the rest of us cannot?

One possibility is that the one person who can access it is using custom DNS settings (or everyone else is and that person is not). Compare your settings in System Preferences > Network , click on the connection you're using in the left pane, and click the Advanced button. Then click on the "DNS" section and compare your settings in the DNS pane.

I'm unable to connect to certain websites on safari for example www.apple.com, google.com. I can access Google Maps, Bing though. Someone's assistance would be much appreciated

Launch the Network Utility application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Network Utility in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Select the Lookup tab and enter
    www.apple.com
in the address field. Press return. Post the output – the text, please, not a screenshot.
    Step 2
Select the Ping tab and do the same.

  • Unable to access particular website

    Hi there,
I'm wondering if BT is blocking access to a particular website. It's www.hostingreborn.com. If I try to browse, I get 'request timed out'. If I connect to the same website through my work VPN (using the VPN as default gateway) it works fine. I've also tried multiple computers in my house (various Linux & Windows boxes) with the same results.
I'm on BT Infinity using a Home Hub 3.
A ping to www.hostingreborn.com just times out. Again, ping response is fine from work (and anywhere else I try). This has been like this for at least week, perhaps more.
    Any ideas?

I'm on BT Infinity using a Home Hub 3.
A ping to www.hostingreborn.com just times out. Again, ping response is fine from work (and anywhere else I try). This has been like this for at least week, perhaps more.
    Any ideas?

Hi Will. Welcome to the forums.
Is this still a problem for you ? I can access the site without difficulty.
In these sorts of situations, especially as all your connected computers are the same, I recommend that you power cycle the router and equipment to get a new IP address. I.e. disconnect the broadband, remove all power and wait for a few minutes before connecting.
You can chek what IP address you have with something like :-
    http://www.whatismyip.com/
to make sure that after you've reconnected you've got a different one.

  • Unable to Access Particular Websites on any browser

I am new to the Mac world and I am on AOL UK platinium broadband and yet some sites (including aol, microsoft and ebay) wont load on safari or firefox why is this :S

I have been having a similar problem for awhile now. I cannot access an airline website (americawest.com) in Safari or IE. The company support says it is a problem on my end exclusively. Today I downloaded Firefox and made that the first page I attempted to go to and it still would not load. I get the spinning wheel and then a timeout message.
I've tried connecting thru links from emails the company has sent me, from links off of other websites....nothing seems to work. I am not having this problem with any other sites.
    Any suggestions???

  • Unable to access some websites since installing new WRT300N Wireless Router

I have just replaced my old Belkin router with the new Linksys WRT300N, all of my connecting devices are Belkin & Linksys PCI or inbuilt Atheros and IntelPro 3945ABG Net on my laptops.
The issue that I have is that since the upgrade a number of sites (yours included) do not connect straight away, I have to refresh the page until it connects, some do not.  This is not browser dependant as I have IE7 and Mozilla and the problems occurs in both.
The wirless is setup with DHCP enabled on the first page, any ideas?

Try to update the router's firmware. I heard, the latest firmware on their site should fix it.
