Tasc_redleader which update exactly are you trying to apply? Your screen shot indicates an update to Photoshop CS6 but your installation log appears to be for Extension Manager CS6.

Failed installation: How to rerun Adobe Application Manager updates for Photoshop CS6

Hi.
The installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 failed - while 2 others update for Photoshop CS6 did intall. I was installing Adobe Reader X .
That's why I discovered the notication from the application manager about updates for CS6 - and I just confirmed that as well.
Apparently the Reader installation blocked only the update installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 - saying another installation process was running ... such stuff happens sometimes.
However, it seems Adobes Application Manager update module does not track its failed installations? It does not automatically advertise that update has not been installed and notifiying me again to install it. At least not immediately ...
So how do I rerun the Adobe Application Manager update moduel to check for updates manually?

Can anyone help me figure out how to download the update for ver 11. I have a new camera (Nikon d7100) and the raw files are not supported. I want to download the latest update which I figure should support this new camera. I have tried updating numerous times and I have turned my firewall off...but alas...it didn't work anyway.

and i have updated to 13.0.1
but here http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5408       there is Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.1 update for Adobe Photoshop CS6
and if i go under help and updates.... it doesn't find 13.0.1.1 but only 13.0.1
should i download and run the update? or 13.1.1 is the same thing of 13.0.1 ?
and dynamiclinkmanager.exe is part of photoshop cs6 standalone or master collection ?
because i have never seen with photoshop cs5

Confirmed, I do not have dynamiclinkmanager running in my Task Manager process list, even when Photoshop is running.
To be fair, I do block a number of Adobe packages from starting when I log in (via Autoruns). Turns out they want to run an awful lot of software that isn't essential to the correct functioning of Photoshop.
Here are the things I've unchecked (which do not run). Note that I have several versions of Photoshop installed as well as some other Adobe software:

Updates for Photoshop CS6

When I go to updates.... in Photoshop CS6, a window comes up "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily, or the Internet or firewall settings may be incorrect”. How do I update this product. be. They referred me to a number that does not support CS6. Does anyone know what is going on here?

The Adobe updater is highly unreliable.
You can always look for, download and correctly install updates yourself.
For instance, here is the last update for CS6 Mac:
Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop 13.0.6 update for CS6
and for Windows:
Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows

Can't Get ACR Updates for PS CS6

My computer is a PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with 8GB of memory. My problem is I don't seem to be able to get any of the Adobe Camera Raw updates for Photoshop CS6 (perpetual license). It's stuck at ACR 8.1. I also can't get the last update to the PS CS6 application (13.0.1.3). As you can see from the screen capture of Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application, it says I have Photoshop CC and Photoshop CS6 and says all applications are up to date. This is not the case as I have stated above. ACR should be at 8.4 and it's at 8.1.
If I open PS CS6 and go to Help > Updates... I get the message that all applications are up to date.
If I click on Preferences, it says "Only show updates for the following products" and there are no options to show updates for any CS6 products. Again, this display came from the Help menu in PS CS6. Why doesn't it show an option to check for updates to CS6? My PS CS6 application was a perpetual license purchase and wasn't converted to a Creative Cloud application.
I have been following several threads at this forum and the Photoshop forum that discuss problems similar to mine but have not found a solution. I followed a link in one of the responses to a download for ACR 8.4 for PS CS6 on Windows and thought I could do a manual installation. Instead, I got the following message that the update failed because "This patch is not applicable to you." I got the same message when I tried to manually install the Photoshop CS6 update to 13.0.1.3.
I would like to keep my PS CS6 (perpetual license) up to date, but I don't know what to do now and am hopeful someone in this community can help me with this issue.

Thank you very much, ssprengel, for this very helpful information. It never occurred to me that the camera and lens information was stored in a common location shared by both CC and CS6. Also, thanks again to Michelle for her useful reply as I did not know that the same ACR file could be used for both PS CC and PS CS6.
Although, I still don't know why my PS CS6 won't update properly or why the manual installers refused to run, you two have provided a satisfactory work around to keep ACR for CS6 up to date.
I'm sorry I can only mark one answer as correct and both you and Michelle's answers were very helpful. I marked Michelle's reply as correct because it let me know that I could copy the CC ACR file into the correct CS6 folder.

I cannot download the update for Photoshop Extended CS6.

I cannot completely download the update for Photoshop CS6 Extended Edition. Every time I try, it downloads 3%, and then its says Download Failed. When i looked at the error in more detail, it said the error code was 49. I cannot find the error code list. If anyone can tell me what error 49 is, please do so ASAP

Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.
You may need to delete active-update.xml and updates.xml as well if present.

If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
Do a clean (re-)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

The Adobe auto updater is highly unreliable.
You need to look for and download the update yourself and then manually apply it as per the detailed instructions on the download page:

I haven't updated Photoshop since I purchased PS 6 in 2012. Now I am unable to get & install updates for PS5. Adobe product expert advised me to go to FORUM!

2) Yes they work, but Bridge, Edit in Camera Raw is missing at least one(1) function
in LENS CORRECTION. This is the impetus for installing the updates, and how I discovered Photoshop & Bridge are missing a CS5 up grade.

Updates for photoshop will not work/wont open raw images

I have tried to update my photoshop and numerous times to open raw images in photoshop and it wont work, everytime i try to do it the installation fails and doesnt explain why and example is :

Might be helpful if there are any more specific messages being shown to list them.
Just passing on what I've read: Some people using PCs have reported that removing Photoshop, reinstalling from their original media, then updating to the very latest works where they haven't been able to get the software updated via the integrated process. I don't know whether this applies to Mac, but it could represent something to try if you run out of options.
But before trying that, have you tried doing a manual installation of the latest updates? You can download the appropriate one(s) directly from the following:
