I am unable to call in facetime but i can call form skype

i am using ipad mini in which i am unale to call in facetime and can't message
but i can use safari brower and skype
is there any problem with my ipad or is it some software problem

Is FaceTime setup correctly with Settings > FaceTinme and the Apple ID (the iCloud address) contact at the phone number and contact at the email address (important since the iPad answers email and not the phone number but I set mine with both so as to not confuse FT).
Is the other party able to use FT on their device?
Did you use your iPad Mini prior to this for FT?

1. Make sure software is up to date
2. Make sure FaceTime is enabled; Settings>FaceTime
3. Make sure Date and Time is correctly set; Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
4. Make sure Push Notification is enabled
5. Make sure phone number or email address is correct
6. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together) until you see the Apple Logo

I can't see the other person when using facetime but they can see me just fine, how can i fix this?

When I use facetime with my fiance on my brand new macbook air she can see me but I can't see her. Please help me remedy this problem, I have verified that I am logged into facetime and connected it with both my ipone5 and my email but haven't seen any changes. It is a 1 week old macbook air and I'm assuming it has the latest iOS installed but don't know how to check as this is my first Macbook. Thank you for your help

MacBook Air does not run iOS. It runs OS X (pronounced as in OS - ten). You can check which version you have by clicking the Apple logo in the upper left of the menu bar, then "About This Mac". The current version is OS X 10.8.4. If you do not have that version, you can click "Software Update" just below the "About This Mac" entry under the Apple logo.
Anyway, typically, the reason for the FaceTime behavior you're describing is a less-than-robust internet WiFi connection.

I can make calls with my MBP on FaceTime but i can't receive calls!!

I have a problem, I have a MBP with OS X Yosemite and an Iphone 6+ with IOS 8.1 .
i set them to use handoff and FaceTime to call and receive calls from my Mac.
IMessage works great, Handoff too, i can call using FaceTime, everything works good but only one problem: when i receive a call, i don't get any notification on my MBP.
Anybody can help me on this?

I fixed it by setting Time Zone in automatically in both iphone and MBC
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences > Date & Time > Date & Time.
Enable "Set Automatically".
Click the Time Zone tab and confirm the closest city is correct.

Try to reset all Skype settings. Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old. Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder. Restart Skype. N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

I was using skype on my mac and i closed the mac lid itself before opening it again, and when i joined the group call again, i couldnt hear anything but they could hear me. i restarted skype, restarted my computer, checked my audio, did the echo test, nothing. Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. This is a problem that Apple has to fix. If you look around the forum, you will see many, many discusssions about this and they have been going on for a few days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this is a workaround - for the time being.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store.

Unable to call or text while overseas, but calling the US is ok

I used to have a Blackberry Bold through Verizon and had no problems using it overseas. A month or so I upgraded to a HTC DNA and as usual, called Verizon to sign up for their global data plan, and took my HTC overseas. Once in Europe, I was unable to call or text locally, or even sending or receiving texts to/from the US. I tried calling the US and that did work. I tried the "+" and "00" and had all the correct country/city codes locally. I called Verizon back home and the global service tech just asked me to keep trying the "00" but it didn't work. The only thing I did turn off on my phone was the "roaming data". My airplane mode is off. I am still overseas currently, but not able to communicate. Everytime I cross the border I do get Verizon standard texts saying how much it will cost if I turn on my data, and etc. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

you have a ps cs4 license for mac and you have some way of finding your serial number.
