I am unable to connect my iphone to itunes

This is probably going to be an easy fix, and I'm going to feel extremely silly after, but I'm having an issue with my iphone recently. For whatever reason, I can't connect it to iTunes (as obviously stated in my topic name ) I have uninstalled, reinstalled itunes.exe, other apple products, attempted to turn off specific apple services in my advanced settings, ect. (as some of the apple support pages suggest. I may have skipped some steps, I am unsure...) But no matter what computer I go on, it always immediately leaps to autoplay and will only recognize as a portable/storage device after plugging my phone in. Is there something I'm missing? I'm using a windows 8 Laptop, if it helps.
If anyone could help out I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks!

  • I am unable to connect my Iphone to Itunes, I recieve an error message asking for a passcode

So I attempted to restore my iPhone 5c but everytime I try to connect with it and do so on iTunes, an error pops up asking for a passcode I don't have no idea about. Also my iPhone says " iPhone is disabled, connect to itunes. " and I'm trying but the same error pops up and asking me to try again. I also tried following the instructions on this website: https://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 and it didn't work. Can you please explain to me how I can just restore it and get it unlocked again? thank you. I've got this phone from a friend as well, as an early birthday present, and he said it would be easy just to restore it, because it use to be his, but I'm not familiar with this stuff.

In the course of your troubleshooting to date, have you also worked through the following document?

You have posted to the iTunes Match forum, which your question does not appear to be related to. You will probably get better help by posting in the Using iPhone forum.

What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

I'm having this problem now with my 2 weeks old iPhone 6+. in the beginning everything going great and managed to connect every wifi around me. Then suddenly 1 week ago, All the wifi from my office, home, hotel and coffee house saying either incorrect password or can't join the wifi. But when i switch on my hotspot from my iPhone 5 it can be connect. i also try with my friend iPhone hotspot. So is it because of hardware problem or software problem. And i just restore my iPhone6+ and still can't connect to wifi and manage to join hotspot (also wifi right?) regret as all my downloaded stuff vanish and now can't download back using wifi.....
    Thanks for assisting

  • HT204409 Unable to connect my iphone 4s to wi fi

I am unable to connect my iphone 4s to wifi now that I did the ios8 update

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • When I connect my iPhone to iTunes, iTunes freezes.

Unfortunately, when I connect my iPhone to iTunes it'll freeze for about 4-8 minutes and after that iTunes will tell me that "iTunes was unable to load data class information with SyncServices". This hasn't always been an issue this just started about two weeks ago and I finally ran out of things to do. I restored my iPhone three times already and that hasn't resolved the issue. I've uninstalled iTunes and updated iTunes a multiple of times. I've really ran out of issues. I don't know what to do. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi andremyrick
I haven't heard from you for a while,
Please follow these steps, however it would be great to know the
Operating System (OS) your are running iTunes on (Windows/Mac), what computer it is (Acer Aspire, Windows Surface, MacBook Air) and what version of iTunes you are using (iTunes 10.0.0, iTunes 11.0.0, iTunes 11.1.5 e.c.t).
So the best thing to do at the moment is to update iTunes to the newest version: iTunes 11.1.5 and make sure that your iPhone is on iOS 7.1.
I am under the belief that iTunes 10 is not compatible with iOS 7 and therefore this may be the main issue.
I just would like you to check at the moment that your iPhone is definitely updated to iOS 7.1 as this will help eliminate some bugs that could be causing this issue.
To update iTunes go to: https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and select the OS (operating system) you are using Windows/Mac and make sure you download the latest software iTunes 11.1.5. Let this download and then restart your computer. Once your computer is back on plug in your iPhone and lets see whether this will allow your iPhone to sync.
Also make sure that the Apple iD on your iPhone is the same as the one on the computer and that the passwords are entreated correctly on both.
Please keep me posted and I look forward to hearing from you!

  • My iPhone 3S will not allow me to upgrade. I can't download any apps and when I connected my iPhone to iTunes and tried to upgrade it, it said it was already updated. On top of that, WiFi does not work with my iPhone. What do I do to fix this?

My dad got this iPhone for me a few months ago as a gift since I had a really awful phone before.  The only thing is, I can't seem to upgrade it to the latest software without it telling me it's already updated to iOS 4 or something like that.  (I would be able to give you the exact iOS version, but ever since connecting my iPhone to iTunes, my phone isn't responding so I can't check the settings or anything.)  I can't download any apps (I get an error message saying the software on my phone is too old) and so I pretty much am extremely limited to what I can do on this phone.  I'm very frustrated at this point and incredibly displeased with Apple's products.
If someone could please explain to me why this is happening and what I can do to fix it, I'd be extremely grateful.
    Thanks.

  • How do you delete songs that you purchased through iTunes but don't show up when you connect the iphone to iTunes they don't show up in music when you click on "On this phone"? I have my phone setup to manually manage music. Please help.

How do you delete songs that you purchased through iTunes but don't show up when you connect the iphone to iTunes? They don't show up in the music section when you click on "On this phone". Side Note: I have my phone setup to manually manage music. Please help.

    Hi, Mrs.Frankie57.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you want to delete a song from your iOS device on iOS 7, tap Songs, swipe the song from right to left, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.

Maybe you should get new friends.
I'm not sure that recovery mode works when you have to trust the computer, but did you try it?
If you can't update or restore your iOS device - Apple Support
If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.
iCloud: Erase your device - Apple Support
This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone.

I get error message 42032 when trying to connect an iPhone to iTunes. Any ideas how to fix it?

Did you already try these suggestions?
    Check USB connections
    Related errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response,” and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
    Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you checked your connections and are still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues.

My iphone is no longer working I have black screen with a picture of the itunes logo and a USB cable.  When I try to connect my iphone to itunes the device is not detected, can anyone help me? I desperatley need my phone back

I have had a 3GS for 2+ years.  After upgrading to IOS 4 (now 4.3.5) I began having problems.  In the past week, my screen went to the itunes logo and USB cable twice -- unprovoked -- just found it sitting there like that!  I connected to itunes and it did restore from a backup but it is a major inconvenience.  I am also searching for answers, but better back-up regularly!
