I am unable to convert pdf to word on Export - says "subscribe now" - I am already subscribed.

I am having the same/similar problem.  When I attempt to sign in from the conversion section, the program will not allow me to sign in, so I am unable to convert the PDF to any other program.  However, I can sign in on adobe without problem.  It is a real mess as I need to have this program functioning today and I have been told there is no one available to help until Monday.  That does not seem to be the type of support that we have all paid for.

Choose Edit > Preferences (Win) or Adobe Reader > Preferences (Mac)
Click 'Online Services' on the left-hand side
Sign out of our Adobe ID and sign back in.
Try to convert your document again.
If you continue to have trouble, please verify that you can access the service via the web interface.  To do this:

  • Unable to convert pdf to word file

How come I'm not able to convert a pdf file to a word document anymore?

You need to use either ExportPDF or PDF Pack. Exporting from PDF to Word was never a feature of Workspaces.

  • Unable to convert PDF file into word document

I just signed up with Adobe in order to convert a PDF file into a word document and it continues to fail.  Any suggestions.

If you have adobe X, simply go to "File" -> "Save-As" and Microsoft Word is an option. Also, there is a download (paid) called Able2Extract that will allow you to convert pdfs to word, excel, etc. but the formatting is often lost. If you get the premium package, you can even convert scanned documents. I've used Adobe X to do the conversion, and it retains headers, footers and all formatting.
And i personally share you with a article about how to converting PDF files to Word(.doc), you just need to follow the easy guide.
Hope it can help you a lot.

  • Installed Adobe Pro X now unable to convert PDF - Missing PDFMaker Files

    Hello,
I installed the trial version of Adobe Pro X and now I am unable to convert a Microsoft Word.doc file to .pdf.  The error message is 'Missing PDFMaker Files.  Do you want to run the installer to repair mode?'  I ran the installer, twice, with the same resulting error message.  (Am currently using Windows XP Pro along with Microsoft 2003 - and will upgrade in the new year.)  I searched this issue, and found the following:
To manage your Disabled Items list in a Microsoft Office application:
Open the Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, Publisher).
Choose Help > About [the application name].
    Click Disabled Items.
Select Adobe PDF from the list, and then click Enable.
Quit the Microsoft Office application, and then restart it.
However, there are no applications in the list, including Adobe.
    I also tried this:
If the error message continues to appear after you enable Adobe PDF, check the security level for macros in Microsoft Word:
Choose Tools > Macro > Security.
In the Security dialog, click the Security tab.
    Choose Medium or High.
    Do one of the following:
If you chose Medium, then click OK.
If you chose High, then continue with steps 5 through 7.
    Click the Trusted Publishers tab.
Check Trust all installed add-ins and templates.
    Click OK.
And Adobe is already there, so no change here.
I have uninstalled the trial version, deleted what visible remnants I could find, restarted the computer, installed the trial version again and am getting the same error message.
Is there a solution to this problem?  Or, should I just return to my Adobe Pro 7?
    Thank you in advance!
    Laura

I recently bought and installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro thinking that X Pro was compatable with Windows XP. I am unable to convert any Microsoft Office 2003 file into a PDF. I receive the same error message as above ( "Missing PDFMaker Files") and tried running it in repair mode as suggested. No change.
    I've tried this stuff:

Choose Help > About [the application name].
    Click Disabled Items.
Select Adobe PDF from the list, and then click Enable.
Quit the Microsoft Office application, and then restart it.
However, there are no applications in the list, including Adobe.
    I also tried this:

    But there is no change.
    Please help!!!

  • I purchased PDF Converter Plus, v1.0 (4 ). I am unable to convert PDF into text. I get all gibberish when I try to do the conversion.

I purchased PDF Converter Plus, v1.0 (4 ). I am unable to convert PDF into text. I get all gibberish when I try to do the conversion.

I went to the site and did exactly as the 'support' said. I tried three PDF documents for conversion to Word. On clicking 'convert', the last window gives the file with .doc suffix. After I save and open it the window says, "The XML file cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents." Under "Details", it says, "Incorrect document syntax".
    Please guide me further.
    Thanks

    Hi there gizmo5,
I see your ExportPDF subscription (active since August 6), but don't see an order for PDF Pack.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

It can take a few hours for your order to process fully, and I do see that your subscription is still "pending" in our order management system. If you're still unable to access the service in a few hours, please let us know.

Maybe some more information from you would help. This is the Adobe Reader forum and it doesn't convert files all on it's own.

Trying to convert a PDF to Word all it says is "An error occurred while signing in". I am signed in though?

    Hi Sara
I followed your link and uploaded a file. Trying to convert this file and says the following as if it does not realize I have already paid for this conversion process:
    Adobe ExportPDF
Easily convert PDF files to Word or Excel.
    Subscribe Now
Subscribe and add the ability to export an unlimited number of PDF files via your browser or mobile device.
    Convert PDF to Word
Export your PDF files to editable DOC, DOCX, or RTF files.
    Convert PDF to Excel
Turn PDF files into editable XLSX files with table formatting preserved.
    Edit scanned text
With optical character recognition (OCR), even scanned text becomes editable.
    Please help.
    Regards.

  • Converting pdf to Word 2003 in Acrobat 9 Pro

I am using Acrobat 9 Pro.  I want to convert pdfs to Word 2003.  I have followed the instructions to export to Word, but when I get to the dialog box that selects the conversion method, I choose Flowing, which is recommended, and click OK, and I get an error message that my PDF document may be corrupt.  This happens with every pdf, whether it is a form downloaded from the internet or a text document I have created myself.  If I try to convert to RTF instead, it makes the "conversion", but in doing so, it creates a file containing an image that is not editable -- it does not create a plain text, editable file.
Is the problem that I am using Word 2003?  Word 2003 is not on the list of file formats to which the pdf can be exported, but when I get to that screen, I choose Workshare PDF in Word (which I believe I read somewhere is the correct choice for conversion to Word 2003) as my selection and it gets me to the "conversion method" screen (which gets me to the corruption error message). Again, even if I choose rtf, I do not get an editable document.
    Any ideas???

    Something to try -
    Export the PDF to RTF.
Open the RTF file with Word Pad.
Save As (perhaps to a new filename -- 'something_bis.rtf')
Open this file with MS Word.
Not particularly surprising that the PDF you posted behaves poorly when 'worked' with Acrobat.
It is an output of Ghostscript.
Compounding the awkwardness of export is the fact that the PDF is not a Tagged PDF.
A significant raison d'etre for Tagged PDF is to support export of PDF content to a word processor application.
    Be well...
