I am unable to create new folders 10.8.6

Today I am unable to create new folders on my internal drive. I changed all the permissions for the applications with "get info" and unlocking plus selecting read and write for all three categories of users. My home office is shut down.
HELP!

reset home folder permissions
1. Boot OS X Recovery by restarting the computer while holding the Command (⌘) and R keys.
2. When the Repair Utilities screen appears, select Utilities from the Menu Bar, then click Terminal.
3. In the Terminal window, type resetpassword and press Return.
4. The password reset utility window will appear. Do not select a new password.
Instead, click on the icon for your Mac's hard disk at the top. From the dropdown below it, select the user account with the problem.
5. At the bottom of the window, you will see Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the Reset button. Repeat for each User account with the problem.
The reset process may take a couple of minutes. When it finishes quit the programs and restart your Mac.
Depending on exactly what you did to your Mac's permissions the above may not help. If it does not, read and follow Apple Support Communities contributor Niel's User Tip: kmosx: I accidentally set a disk's permissions to No Access

As you just upgarded to Windows 7, please make sure SP1 is also installed on all systems and install the following hotfix rollup for Windows 7 SP1:

There was a known issue on Windows 7 which affected shared folders, that newly created or deleted files are not reflect in network folder immediately, which seems similar to your error. If issue still exists after SP1 and hotfix rollup please help confirm:
1. If this issue occurs only on DFS folder in accessing with \\domain.com\namespace. Could you reproduce the same issue in accessing \\server\sharefolder?
2. Will the same issue occurs after disabling Offline Files if it is enabled.

Can someone tell me how I create new Folders in BT Cloud? I did do a search and there were a number of postings re creating
Folders for specific purposes, but none that answered my query, I could not find anything on the creation of Folders ' in general'.

Thanks for getting back to me, sorry I was not entirely sure what you were trying to do.
You can can create a folder by going to BT Cloud Sync, and clicking on Create Folder. (Or press the key combination Alt+CTRL+O on your keyboard in the BT CLOUD SYNC view).

Adobe Media Encoder - Unable to create workspace folders

I am on a new macbook pro system using Creative Cloud. I am using Premiere Pro and have been trying to open up AME, but everytime is says "unable to create workspace folders." I have tried trashing the preferences and no luck. Also I have done the cloud cleaner and re-installed Premiere Pro several times and no luck. Any help to get it working would be great.

I just had this problem as well. I was ignoring that message, but then my workspace was a small black box with no other ui interface. So I really had two problems going at once (pref error and workspace interface missing).
I quit Media Encoder, went to (myuser)/library/preferences and set the permissions for every user to read/write (although Im not sure if this actually did anything, because I also did the next step).
Then I navigated to (my user)/library/preferences/adobe and deleted the Adobe Media Encoder prefs folder. Then reopened the app, and everything was golden. No message, and my interface returned to normal.

Creating new folders in Mail

Greetings..
How does one create new folders under the inbox for organizing purposes? I was expecting to be able to create a "new folder" within any other folder, but all I can find is smart folders, and some other strange option which results in this new folder under the heading "On My Mac"...strange...what's this "On My Mac" all about? Why can't I just create a new folder under my inbox, and organize the way I see fit? This is really odd..

You can accomplish this by creating a new mailbox ( *plus sign* in the bottom left corner of the main window). I think this should say folder, but I didn't make this choice. It acts like a folder. Just click and drag emails from your inbox to these other mailboxes you created. The "On My Mac" just refers to where the emails get stored (/Users/yourshortname/Library/Mail)

Edit: the funny thing is the icon for the new mailboxes is a folder, go figure.

How to create new folders on iCloud Drive from iOS or with document picker?

Recently I wanted to share several files from my iWorks suite with my colleagues. I do not want them to edit these files, instead I made templates in Numbers for easier management of hours worked. Everyone could download their copy and keep a track of their hours themselves. The problem is, not everyone has an Apple product.
Unfortunately, iOS does not support native browsing of iCloud Drive (except the document picker, which, to me, isn't helpful at all), the only way I know of - to create a new folder - is to open iCloud.com in Safari, request the desktop site and make a new folder from there.
Is there another way of creating new folders, preferably an official app from Apple or from within an iWorks app or the document picker that I do not know of? Or is this actually a missing feature?
Also, if Apple could make an app similar to Microsoft OneDrive, that would be great.

Yes, there is a way. Here is the workaround. You can add notes folders directly with your iPad or iPhone.

I cannot create a new subfolder in one of my mail accounts. (All of my other accounts/inboxes I can create new folders)

Unable to create new events in iCal

I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS7, and now when I try to create a new event in iCal, nothing happens. I am able to tap the "+" and enter the event information, but when I tap "Done", no new event appears in the calendar.
If I, instead, create the event in the Calendar on my PC, the phone syncs with Outlook, and the event appears on the phone's iCal app.
Why am I suddenly unable to create new events on my phone in iOS7, and how can I fix this issue?

why would you steal your music id password? ..nokia id / account is different from windows live id btw.
maybe you already have a windows live account, thats why its showing the that problem. check settings > email+accounts > you should ideally have only one(1) 'microsoft account' in there. if you want to use another one, you might want to just 'change' the existing one with your new credentials.

I can no longer create new folders in Windows 7; could this problem be a result of recently reinstalling Firefox?

I'm using Windows 7 Home premium on an HP Pavilion laptop. Maybe two weeks ago, I stopped being able to create new folders in the Windows Explorer box; I click the "New Folder" button, and nothing happens: no error message, nothing. Around two weeks ago, I also reinstalled Firefox to get rid of some adware virus (success: the adware is gone!). I do not recall the exact timing on when I did the reinstall and when I stopped being able to create new folders, but I'm wondering if the folder problem could be related to the re-install. And if so, what can I do about it?

Can't create new folders

One day, just randomly my laptop stopped letting me create new folders. when i right click and go to "new" the option is simply not there, and when i open windows explorer and click new folder, nothing happens. I have to copy a folder, delete its contents, and rename it every time i wish to create a new folder. I have made no major changes to my computer; the only things I have done is download music from itunes, and a few new video games. I cannot find anywhere that it could be.
Also, I might add I use Comodo firewall, wich not only blocks things from acessing the internet, but from files acessing other files, registry, etc. I didn't know if this could be affecting it. When i instal something new I have to allow it anywhere from 3-8 times for each different thing. I've had it for a few weeks now, and noticed no problem with my laptop because of it other than constantly having it allow things when i first open them.
I have tried system recovery and ran a virus scan with avast and registry mechanic, and none of these have fixed it. The only thing i found online was a guy telling me ot download his program and install it to my registry (however, i did not trust this, because i could not find information of the name of the file he told me to install anywhere else, so i figured it would do more harm than good)

The problem just started today.
With a little luck, a System Restore will fix that registry problem.
   What is System Restore?
Otherwise, open the Registry Editor (regedit.exe) and navigate to this key.

In the right pane, look at the data for the value (Default). It should be this.

There could be many reason like IIS issue, Space issue, Permission issue, SQL issue which is not possible us to guess rather
you need to jump in the SharePoint log(Program Files\Common files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS) and find out the specific error log its throwing after which trouble shoot can be start.

FTP error-Unable to create new pooled resource: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ft

Hi,
We have a scenario where XI receives a Idoc and based on the contents of Idoc, It will generate 5 different files and send it to the external FTP server.We configured 5 receiver channels for these 5 files.
When this interface runs, most of the files will be delivered but some of the messages will be errored out.
The receiver channel has shown the following error-
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error when getting an FTP connection from connection pool: com.sap.aii.af.service.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException: Unable to create new pooled resource: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx
I tried to resend them by temperorily stopping other channels to reduce connections to this FTP server.But these messages again resulted with same error.
Can someone suggest what might be the cause for this error.

As I am not sure about the problem so U just try all of the option I am writing below. It may help u as these are the probable solutions for this problem.
1.perform Full CPA cache refresh using PIDIRUSER
2.The problem seems to be in establishing the connection with the File server . This could be due to
a. Wrong user name or password in receiver adapter .
b. Firewall connection are not open
actually you are saying that some files are being delivered so all the file has to be deliverd on same server on diffrent directory or all files are going on diffrent server at present I am assuming that all files are going on diffrent server so please check UID & PWD properly.if they are on same server but diff. directory it can be easily done using one Communication channel only.
3. Finally please check the errorneous communication channel .
to check your communication channels are working fine or not you can check in channel monitoring in PI7.0, adapter monitoring in Xi3.0.
if you are on PI7.0, goto RWBCache monitoring select AE and cilck disply-select the date todays--check everything is greent here
4.Please check your maximal connection pool .

Try to check the directory you have specified in the CC and also check whether you are able to connect to the FTP server with those login credential and access the directory specified.
Also let me know whether it is working fine for other scenario's or not.
