I am unable to download my purchased book to my ipad. Can you please advise?

I have been asking this same question for two weeks now...ever since I upgraded to iOS 5. I have backed up, synced, deleted iBook app then reinstalled, restarted iPad, reinstalled newest version of iTunes with and without firewall on my PC...all of this several times. ALL other apps work fine, but iBooks will not download from iCloud
No one has replied here, and apple support has sent me links to pages describing how to do all these things I've already done!
I still have NO access to any of my iBooks orbPDFs (75+). I hope someone can help us. This is extremely frustrating. Ive had to repurchase ebooks from other vendors so I can complete my university assignments.

Trying to download pre purchase book that is stuck on "paused"

i am trying to download a pre purchased book on the ipad 2. it shows in my library as "paused"....the system tells me to go to "purchases" and tap download. do not see "purchases" and "purchased" does not download either. any help? please

Here are a few things that you can try. After each step, try to resume the download.
1. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
2. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
3. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to download the book again.

Are you redownloading them by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Are you located in the same country in which your originally purchased them?
Are the books presently available in your country? If not yu can't redownload them

Hi, i am unable to download previous purchased ringtones since upgrading to IOS7 and changing to a new computer. My music etc has downloaded its just the ringtones. if i select on this phone when connected to ITunes i can see them in the list, but they are greyed out with a little circle next to them.

I don't understand. Are you saying the CD will not play on any of your CD drives? What happens when you try? Have your tried the CD in a non-computer CD player, such as a car player?

Yes, I know. Which is why I won't argue over it. As I said I've never had an issue with it when travelling.
And Apparently the purchase is working fine for the OP, its the actual download that gets hung up.
Anyway, If the Purchase is going fine, then its more likely an issue with the internet connection.
Are you on Cell service when trying to download rather than Wifi?

I connect my iPad with USB cable to my iMac.
Launch iTunes and confirme that can access my iPad
I select Keynote in the left side list and click Synchronise button at the bottom iTunes window.
I can see in my iPad that it is loading but everything stops at about 60%
I have tried also deleting Keynote from the iPad by holding the app icon and select the X to delete it but it won't delete.
Really tried every possible solution out there. Nothing works for me.
I even deleted manually Keynote.ipa manually and downloaded again.
There seems to be a sync problem between the iPad and IMac.
The horizontal scrolling bar showing the evolution of the transfert to the iPad goes much faster than the small circle showing the download time.
When the syncing is finished in Itunes, there is about 40% left showing on the Keynote icon and it stops there.
Touching the icon, it changes to "pause"
Touching it again, it changes to loading but nothing happens.
I have put a lot of time into this annoying problem.
One more thing, my wife have a more recent iPad and no problem doing the update.

How do I purchase books for my iPad. I just ordered a book through Amazon (thinking there would be a place to mark it for the iPad) and I got a receipt saying that it was in the process of shipping.

If you mean ebooks, then depending on what country that you are in you might be able to buy or download ibooks from Apple, either via iTunes on your computer or directly on the iPad in the iBooks app (you will need to download and install the app on the iPad) via the Store button at the top left of its bookshelf.
You might also have access to other ebook apps/stores e.g. Amazon's Kindle (their ebooks are in the Kindle section of their site and you can link the Kindle app on the iPad to your Amazon account), Kobo, Nook etc.
ebooks tend to have digital rights management on them which tie them to the store's own apps/ereaders (i.e. Apple's ibooks can only be read in the iBooks app, Amazon's ebooks in Kindle apps and ereaders etc), so before you buy an ebook from a particular store check whether they have an iPad app or whether they can be read in a different app (the store's site should have details).

Yes. There is the free iBooks app which then allows you to download books from Apple's book store. Kindle also has an app and there are other e-reader apps.
The one thing to consider, the iPad is a backlit screen, so it's like reading off a comptuer screen. Some have issues with eye strain so just bear that in mind.

Only computers nees authorising for your account, iPads (and iPhones and iPods) don't need authorising. On your computer's iTunes you should be able to authorise it via the Store menu at the top of iTunes - with iTunes 11 on a PC pressing Alt-S should get the Store menu to appear

a friend downloaded some books on my ipad from her computer since then i have purchased books from the itune store and downloaded
them to my ipad, but they wont open, a screen comes up with thisthis device is already associated with an apple id on this device with just one apple id every 90 days. Can someone please tell me what this means as im not very tech savy. would appreciate any help

Unable to download newly purchased music

The last two albums I have purchased on iTunes have refused to download. I keep getting errors stating that the song is unable to download at this time. I have tried rebooting, resetting network settings and a full restore( which is annoying in itself)
This is starting to get extremely frustrating. Being an iPhone owner for 5 years now I have experienced just about every problem you can think of but this one has got me considering other products. Apple prides itself on ease of use but nothing lately has been easy to use. Please help.
