Assuming you have an iPad 2, the article you came from details what you need to do.
Just follow it, step by step. Is there something you don;t understand about it?
Just to make sure you have an iPad 2. does your iPad have a camera?
If it does not have a camera then it is an iPad 1 or First generation and cannot be updated past iOS 5.1.1.

HT1414 Unable to update my address book. Can you help?

Before upgrading my iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4S I backed up all my info including my contacts.
This worked perfectly and I was very pleased that everything including texts and my notes were transferred to my new device.
When I connect my iPhone 4S to iTunes and back it up (Contacts are synced) my address book does not get updated with my new contacts.
It has remained with the same contacts from back when I had the 3GS.
When I go to devices in iTunes it has 2 back ups. They are both the same name ie. "My Iphone" but one is dated October 2011 and the other today. Is that the reason? Am I meant to delete the older back up in order to allow the other software such as "Address Book" to update with my current information?

Chances are you have identified your problem. Try deleting the old back up and then try again

I have two apple ID passwords and two devices when I try to use my account/password it asks for the other account that I don't have the password to. Can update or buy anything. Can you help ?

I have one computer and one iTunes library and two devices hooked up to it. But I have to apple IDs a different one for each of the two devices. When I try to buy or update something using my account and password it asks for the other account password so I can buy or update anything. I can log into this website using my accountant it recagnizes me but i still can't get it to work on the App Store . I don't know I'f this matters but I just updated to iOS 6 and then tried it and it wouldn't work. Before I updated it , when I would try to get an app or something it would still ask me for the other password , but if I pushed cancel then it would ask me do mine and then it would work , but it doesn't do that anymore. If I push cancel it just cancels and does nothing. I hope you can give me some suggestions, I really need your help:)

I have the simplest question, but I can't seem to get an answer to it. The problem is very simple: I have defined a JTextArea and I'm reading text into it. The problem is that the old text does not disappear, and the new text is pasted on top, making it unreadable. As an "act of desperation" I fixed this by setting the area invisible, updating it and setting it visible again, as you can see in the code. It works, but now it blinks in the screen (quite annoying!).
Is there a smarter way to to this? I need this on a transparent window (see class init below), overlayed on another JFrame.
I am on Mac OS X.
I hope some of you can help me with this problem

Hi, so this is the class. If I keep it like this, it simply overwrites old text with the new (like JTextArea thinks that the old text is a part of the background to be buffered). If I set it invisible and back to visible it works, but it blinks.
How can I let JTextArea understand that it shouldn't consider the old window as a background? Should I use another class?
Pls keep in mind that I'm on Mac, so maybe it's a Mac-specific thing, but I'd like to know..

Maybe you have an iPhone 3G and not a 3GS. A 3GS has a Compass App, a 3G iPhone does not. The latest software for iPhone 3G is 4.2.1
