I am unable to download windows messenger

After the download is completed, I try to open it and a window pops up and says, "You can't open the application MSN Messenger because PowerPC applications are no longer supported"
Anyone know how to deal with this??? Please and Thank you!

Unable to download windows 7 support software for macbook pro

I was able to install Windows 7 Home Premium and also partitioned the HD. After that I have been trying to download Windows support software through Bootcamp into a properly formatted pen drive. The download progresses to about 20% of the bar showing progress and then just freezes. I checked the internet connection but it is working fine. Not sure if the file sizes are huge(the progress bar doesn't show any details about how big the file sizes are). Left the mac book running for more than 3 hours but no progress. Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong?
The Windows 7 installation doesn't have any drivers so i am unable to even connect to the internet through an ethernet connection.

The Boot Camp assistant created an extra partition, then just stopped. It didn't move forward with installing Windows. Now I have a BOOTCAMP partition and a few options for installing Windows. I have a DVD I burned, and an ISO out on a USB HD formatted for FAT. But I'm not sure how to go about installing Windows now. I did this once before a few years ago but don't remember the steps. I want to install Windows onto the boot camp partition. Would you happen to know how I can proceed?
I tried holding down the Option key upon boot and selecting the Windows DVD but it just hung there on the Apple logo. Only way to boot was to hold Option and select my main HD.

hours, it JUST! STOPS! WORKING! I'm using Firefox to download, by the way, IE has had too many security issues for me to trust it, so I don't. But even so, shouldn't a download JUST WORK? And if it can be done with TORRENTS, why can't I just
"pick up from where I left off" with the download? WHY MUST IT START OVER FROM THE BEGINNING? I *did* notice that it ran longer when I used "keep me logged in" (or whatever it is) at the 'live' login screen, so here is what
*I* think is happening: the security associated with an MSDN download TIMES OUT before I can finish downloading it. I even tried an older version of firefox, and it popped up a dialog box stating "en_windows_10_technical_preview_9926_x64_dvd_6245061.iso

Hi, I will add to Mike, You could try to download it in a webcafe or such public place. I even have friend that on the road they try to spot open wifi to use their email in example.

Hmm, uninstalling it should have rectified things. Did you also try rebooting after running the uninstall process?
If you did, do you have anything in the following folders:
Hard drive > Users > Your Username > Library > InputManagers
Hard drive > Users > Your Username > Library > Application Support > SIMBL
Hard drive > Library > InputManagers
Hard drive > Library > Application Support > SIMBL
Those folders may not exist, so it's not a problem if you can't find them. If you do find them, drag the contents of those folders onto your Desktop, completely quit Safari (Safari menu > Quit) and then relaunch Safari and try another download.

I am having issues downloading Windows 2012 Std Patches but with 2012 R2 it is fine. I have to do it through WSUS which is on a separate server to get it work correctly. Anyone else experiencing the issue

Unable to download Windows Support for macbook pro osx 10.7

I am having problems downloading the windows support and I have read a lot of suggestions. Can I hear your thought about these.
1. BootCampESD.pkg (yambam)
2. drivers at bootcamp.dmg (kisnord)

That is quite strange, I did have a similar issue with Western Digital 1.5TB External HDD a while ago. It worked on other computers just fine but not on my Mac, one day it just stopped working all together.
I am not saying that its an issue with the pen drive though. Could be either or.
The only thing that I can think of trying is to start up in Safe Mode and see if it works. If not then you can at least rule out any applications causing problems.
Let me know how you go. I will have a bit of a look in to this for you as well... I'm curious... And a little confused myself

Hi, I am experiencing the issues outlined in KB2494036 but when I click the download button it tells me the page you are looking for is no longer available. (Microsoft remote error page not browser error)

IT WONT LET ME DOWNLOAD WINDOWS 8.1

I have tried many times to update my laptop to windows 8.1 but it says 'this application wasn't installed -view details '.I click on that and it repeatably says it couldn't be installed and offers to try again .The error code "0x8020002e' keeps coming
up .I have tried removing the battery and dusting it off , nothing , deleting many files , nothing , and also deleting apps that i have previously downloaded , nothing. As well as this my laptop needs a new version of java to run certain applications , but

We need to confirm some information:
1. What's the Operating System in your computer now?
2. Where did you download the Windows 8.1?
Windows 8.1 upgrades are available in the Windows Store or on media. Note that when you upgrade to Windows 8.1 from the Windows Store, you cannot change editions. Upgrading to a different edition of Windows 8.1 is supported from media only.
Volume license versions of Windows 8, Windows 8 Enterprise, and Windows 8 Enterprise Eval versions cannot be upgraded from the Windows Store. You must use media to upgrade these editions.

If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.

Unable to download pdf file in windows 8.1

After upgrading to windows 8.1, i have been unable to download pdf files sent via yahoo email, IE11 and Adobe Reader 11. Did not have this problem before with windows 8. I click on the pdf attachment, NOrton says that the file is safe but nothing happens. Am unable to save the file to my computer either. Have already reloaded Adobe Reader repeatedly, drivers for window 8.1 associated with the hardware on my system, newest version of internet explorer,, upgraded drivers for my Canon printer and still no downloads!!!
Can anybody help? Microsoft community unable to give anymore suggestions.

Wrong forum (this is Digital Editions), but ...
I find .pdf files often won't launch properly on my Win8.1. It starts the process but it doesn't do the right thing.
Try making sure you don't have any copies of Reader working (AcroRd32.exe on my 32 bit Win 8.1).
Start a copy from the start screen (or start menu if you've set one up) BEFORE you try to access the file.
Now try to do the download or open it from the downloads directory.
I find that way the file will open properly.

I'm using windows 7 and when I click the download link on http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ it brings up the prompt to save and I click save but there is no download performed - the file does not exist and is not listed in the "Downloads" drop down option.

HELLO the download did not occur.
Most site will offer a link that states - if your download did not begin click here and have a means to start it again but not Apple they are sure it's done.
Any one out there know what's wrong with the download page or a way to get iTunes from another source on apple's site?

That "thankyou.html" page loading before the end of me clicking save and selecting where it's saving was causing the download to not initiate properly
I saved it as quickly as I could and surprisingly the download succeeded to begin.
Apple website developers should be notified of that error/behavior so it can be fixed - simply don't load the thankyou.html page until the install is completed maybe

I'm having the same problem. I had previously downloaded an earlier version but it's apparently too old to allow me to activate my new iPhone. I tried disabling Download Manager (holding down the shift key); it was disabled but I still got the immediate "Thank You" without the new version being downloaded. Any suggestions?
