I am unable to get confirmation email so I can setup an account. I emailed support but no answer
I checked spam folder etc but no luck. Now I can't use that email again to try over since it says it is already in use.
How have you been connecting these drives to your iMac? USB?
Have you connected them back to your iMac the same way they were connected before? Including making sure they have the power they need?
If all the connections are just as before, and all the drives have the power they need, have you tried shutting down your iMac and starting it up from a cold start?
If you still have trouble I would ask whether you shut everything down correctly before disconnecting/unplugging/powering-down the drives. Unfortunately, it is possible that some of the drives were not disconnected or whatever in the proper manner, and, so, have become corrupted. (I'm hoping not, for your sake. However, even if so, such can be recovered, but it will take more expertise than you seem to claim for yourself.)

You cannot download programs from anywhere but the official App Store.
Flash is not available but Adobe does have a version of Adobe reader in the App Store-it is for reading PDFs. -

You won't be able to add a rescue email address until you can answer 2 of your questions, you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

make sure the outgoing (smtp server) has the updated password also. settings>mail,contact,calendars>then at account>it will say outgoing, smtp or advanced. after clicking on the smtp it will have an option to change that password, delete it and add ur new one

And some general advice:
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -

In Safari, (I use Firefox only) cookies must be enabled. I never knew there was a connection between iTunes and Safari until now. -

You have to have 10.7.2 to have the iCloud icon appear.

Moved hosting of email and now can't send or receive emails
did a search on the forum but can seem to find a solution to my problem.

If your using BIS - Log into your BIS account and delete the email address and recreate it again - the email server details are pointing to the wrong email server.
If your using BES ,then the BES needs to get the correct Mail Server details - Delete the user form the BES and add them back, then reactivate the Handset.

I now need to verify my account via email.
How can I do this when I can't access my iCloud email without verifying account?Did you click the Verify Now link in the verification email from Apple (see image below)? If not, make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Also make sure you check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

HT5330 If I move from Mac/Mobile Me email to iCloud, will my current account's email vanish?
Probably a silly question. I am running Snow Leopard and for a couple of days have not been able to send mail from my long-time Apple email account. I have started the move from Mac/Mobile Me email to iCloud, when all I really need is to enable the iCloud SMTP server, I think.
When I was a few steps into the move, I reached the point where I had to either "continue" with my current email address/password, or create a new email account If I follow Apple's direction and "add" an account with my core user info, will I end up with "my" account as iCloud, but with my current account's email "vanished?"
I go back far enough that my Apple user name is not an email address, and my email address is dot.Mac, and I'd like to keep it that way, but right now I just want to be able to "send." Since my problem began I have been writing and then saving emails on my iMac, then opening them on my iPad or iPhone and sending the emails from those devices. Thank heaven for IMAP!!!!

Laura[email protected] [email protected] and [email protected] are all the same thing: emails to all three go to the same inbox. You must presumably have gone through the migration process from MobileMe to iCloud before 1 August last, or you would have lost access to the account. However if you didn't set up Mail for the different iCloud server settings I wouldn't have expected to go on working this long.
In any case, I would suggest you delete the account from Mail (this won't delete anything on the server) and set it up again from scratch following the process described in this illustrated article:
