I am unable to get my Iphone connected to iCloud because I can't verify my account. It says I should check an email (not my defaut e-mail account) for instructions which I can not find. I have the purchase confirmation, bu tnot instructions to "verify"
I purchased iMatch/iCloud for my laptops and my iPhone, working well on the Windows laptops, but can't "verify" on my iphone.

I have been trying to activate my icloud on my mackbook pro running the latest lion 10.7.3 for the last 2 weeks without any luck. It says verifiction e-mail sent check your e-mail, but I never get any e-mail checke all folders no e-mail from apple. Is somebody have the same proble? Any ideas?Jeffeighmy - I had this same problem last week. I think it is an iCould issue. It resolved itself. Just frustrating. I had reinstalled iCloud Control Panel and it would not let me save contacts or calendars. Then it just happened after a couple of days of trying. My contacts on my iphone are now duplicated, not in Outlook. Then when I delete one on the iphone it deletes it up through icloud and my pc so I loose that contact. Go figure.

i'm on MAC OS X 10.5.8. Still runs great but now i have no itunes as i've followed this post that covers my first issue. i've followed it correctly to the part of re install the latest version of itunes and i cant.
i've been running logic pro on this mac and i have no issues so i've not upgraded software etc.
i need a way around this problem without having to upgrade the OS if there is one.
does anyone please have a suggestion that doesn't involve spending hundreds of pounds?

Can I attach an external mic to my Macbook Air to enhance sound input for the note taking view of Word 2011 for Mac? I've tried preferences to up the volume of my sound, but I still cannot hear the recording. Any suggestions? I need to record a meeting as well as take notes so I'd like to use this tool, but the audio is not good enough.
A USB microphone can work with the Air, and I've used them before with my 11" Air. Griffin also made a product (the iMic) that will add a standard computer microphone port, connecting to your USB port. It's heyday was the time of the old iBook laptops (which also lacked a microphone in jack) but I think it's still around.
The single sound port on the 2011 models, as I recall, supports iPhone style headphone/microphone but I don't believe it will support a standard microphone input.
The built in microphone sits on the left side of the computer and I suspect wouldn't work well for picking up a lecture unless you were sitting just right in position vs. the speaker (preferably having the speaker positioned to the left and sitting really close). By design most laptop microphones presume they are going to be mainly used to record a sound coming from the person sitting at the keyboard, while for a lecture you normally would prefer it concentrate on sound coming from behind the screen. -
I have signed to up to iCloud and am pretty sure that all of my settings are turned on appropriately. However I get syncing from iCloud to my iMac and to my iPhone, but I am unable to get my iPhone to sync with the iCloud and most obviously calendar events, so that if adding an event on my iPone it never appears on my other hardware? My iCloud account is set up with my Apple ID as one email account (for example [email protected]) which is the email account I use to sign up for internet sites like Amazon, Apple,etc, so that I can differentiate vendors/mass emails. But my default calendar on my iPhone is in a different email name (ie [email protected]) which I use for most communications to friends, relatives, etc. and it is this account that holds most of my appointments. To further complicate things I have other email accounts that I use for business/professional and community work. If I want all my calendars to show on my iPhone AND sync to my iCloud, do I set this at the phone level or the iCloud level? or both?
Let me clarify....It looks like if I go into appointments that I previously set up through my personal account (ie above [email protected]) and edit the entry on my iPhone, selecting the iCloud "home" calendar within the entry, it will then sync to my iCloud account, no problem....do I have to do this to EVERY entry I have? or is there a way to name my personal account as one to sync to iCloud? -
I have been having issues with not receiving texts and voicemails daily, for a few months now. If I turn the phone completely off, when I turn it back on the messages will flood in from hours before. I can't be continually turning off my phone in case someone left me a message. How do I resolve this issue?
Wifi: my Cell phone will remember 10 wifi connections. So delete any you don't use often and your home wifi and try to enter home wifi again.
if it still won't connect to home wifi, call your internet provider for help. You may need a newer router or different settings Or upgraded service. Your phone seeks the best connection and will refuse lesser connections.
last resort. Backup the phone. Do a full reset, then restore as new with the backup.
if still not fixed, go back to apple and insist on repair or replacement.
HOWEVER. voicemail is not a wifi issue, it's a carrier function, which is why the SIM card is a suspect. -

Unable to get my iphone 5 to connect to my home network, there is no "Forget Network" option on the phone and I have many other Apple devices connected successfully so I know the network works and the password. Can anyone help?
Are you using WEP, WPA, or WPA2 for your network security? If you are using WEP, I am not sure that it is still supported. I know that some people have had issues not being able to connect to some networks until they changed the security to be more secure. SOme of them even just changed their initial WPA key to be more complex and that resolved it for them.

As mentioned above I have just downloaded OSX Maverick to my iMac. I am now having a lot of problems with iCloud. I get the message that "This iMac can't connect to iCloud because of a problem with, and then it goes on to quote my e-mail address. It then says to open iCloud preferences to fix this problem.
I do this and no matter what I seem to do this message continues to return.
Can anybody explain how to resolve this problem (please bear in mind that I am noy very computer literate).

I've just migrated my Logic Pro 9.1.8 to a new Mac because my old computer crashed. They are asking for a serial number, but I don't have the install disks anymore. Is there someplace in the software itself that I can find the serial number?

This is very disappointing from The Carphone Warehouse. If they had mentioned this when I went into their stores, I wouldn't have completed the purchases. I bought two phones at separate outlets and neither of them told me this.
I have been in contact with T-Mobile already as I thought they had sneakily applied a software update that locked the phone. They have denied locking it and suggest that it is something that Apple do. Their solution was a factory reset.
I have a call logged with Apple this afternoon, so will see what they suggest. Hopefully they will give me something that I can take to The Carphone Warehouse or T-Mobile. -

Hi all,
For some time now, my appstore app shows an update available for CodeBox, which I did not buy. When I try to update it it asks for my ID and password (all normal), but then it gives an Unknown Error.
I am 100% sure I didn't buy the app, I do not see any transaction on my card or in the appstore apart of this one, so does not seem to be a hack.
Does anyone know what is happening, this is a tricky thing which is making me lose trust in the payment/account system that Apple is using.

When I initially try to sign in to iCloud, I get the "Account not verified" screen and I am told to check my email for instructions to verify. No email is ever sent. My ID and password work on all other Apple app's. Why not for iCloud?
I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. It will install as a fully functional 30 day trial. Entering your serial number will convert it to a permanent version, Standard or Extended, depending on what serial number you purchased.
If you still have the license problem. get back to me with your OS details and the error code.
