I am unable to get my updates completed, how do I clear these updates?

I select the Updates icon to begin loading the updates and nothing happens. This is a new occurance over the last week and I haven't had this problem before. I believe my last update was pre new IOS update.

Just a thought. If you have an idea of which apps there might be updates for (I know - if you have many this could be quite an exercise) then instead of selecting Updates, do a SEARCH for the app. When you find it, and if it is on your phone, the option will be to UPDATE it rather than INSTALL it. And who knows - maybe once you get one update that way, the rest might appear.
Give it a shot. Let me know if it helps.

You're saying you don't back up your phone regularly? You should ALWAYS back up before updating your phone. That said, try resetting first: hold down the home button and the power button for at least 10-20 seconds until you see the Apple. Hopefully you can then try to perform the update again. Start doing backups if your data is important to you.

I even tried this on a iMac with similar results. The only difference was that the errorcode was called 2001 instead of 21.
Today I took the phone to www.iphoneambulancen.dk. A guy (in Aarhus, Denmark) that specializes in iPhone repairs. I figured, that given his occupation he'd seen most errorcdes. Two hours later, he called me back, and told me that he had replaced the battery.
So, it turns out that a broken battery can cause this behaviour.

We don't want you to be annoyed with messages pmarx! Are you using third party messaging applications that you downloaded from the Play Store? I recommend testing the device with the standard messaging application.

How can I stop these update notices?

I keep getting told that there are software updates, but when I go there, it is something I don't need. For example, I keep getting told that there is a digital camera RAW compatibility update. I don't need this, as I don't even have a digital camera. However, if I don't update, it just keeps telling me, so I just update and it goes away, for a while.
I used to be able to stop this by setting the system to ignore these updates, but it seems I can no longer do that. Is there anything I can do about it?

The OP may have his Software Update setting in System Preferences set to automatically check for updates.
Advice to OP, accept the software updates if you want your system to continue running well.

If you haven't got a computer to update your iPhone, first open Settings > General > About, and check version. If it's iOS 5 or 6, you can update the device opening Settings > General > Software Update, so you don't need a Mac or PC

Here's the cycle:
I plug in my iPad when “cable to iTunes shows on iPad screen. It says "Your iPad can't be updated, you must restore it to factory settings." That bad enough news, but it gets worse.

Notes: I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 on my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) in the last week. It’s the first time I’m tried to backup/update my iPad since the iMac update.
I swapped out the USB cable to a new cable and get the same results.
I also unplugged all other USB devices from the iMac and security on my iPad and still get the same results.
I find it strange that it shows no Serial number for my my iPad 2 when plugged in. It shows “Serial Number: n/a on the screen when it displays: “iPad Recovery Mode To update your iPad without erasing its contents, click Update. To restore your iPad to its factory settings, click Restore iPad.
I prefer to update my iPad, but it displays “Your iPad can’t be updated, you must restore it to factory settings. If you previously backed up the iPad, click Restore Backup after the restore process completes.”
It’s a continuous loop. I get the display on my iPad to plug in the iPad to iTunes, plug it in which ends after going through the above procedure saying an error occurred (9).
So now I cannot use my iPad. When I turn it on I get the display showing me to plug it into iTunes with the cable. Since this is the only option I have I plug it in and the loop begins.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Check your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't preventing a connection to the Apple servers.

There is a topic in the HP Web support page that is titled "things to do after a recovery". I will edit this and link to it . A recovery to "factory state" actually does not do everything. Yes.. enhancements and QFEs (quick fix engineering) are needed as they are created by Microsoft and HP to correct and enhance the operating system and installed hardware. You should install them as they are specifically for your desktop PC and its operating system. Once you install them you should be able to update to SP2 and then SP3. Here is an important document from HP on updating to Winpows XP SP2. Be certain that you create a restore point before updating to SP3. Here is a document from Microsoft on what to do before udating to Windows XP SP3.

ICal and Kerio - not updating completely how to uninstall ical prefs?

I use iCal to connect to Kerio and view multiple user accounts at once. Recently iCal started going off-line a lot and now many items just won't sync. I have tried to remove the Kerio account and reconfigure, but it does not work. I thought if I can remove all iCal prefs to reset back to like new, then reconnect with Kerio it might fix. Any idea how to get iCal back to like new?

- Quit iCal
- in the user concerned Home/Library/Application Support/ get reed of the the iCal folder
- restart iCal

The Warning "Xst:3218 - HDL ADVISOR" is self explanatory which mentions that your RAM has asynchronous read which is unsupported.

Several times a month, when I go to open Firefox, it says "wait installing new updates". After they are installed, Firefox won't open, it says "page not found." I have to then reload Firefox. How can I stop these updates?

I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. If you bought the boxed set of Logic Studio 2.0 which includes LP9, then you cannot download it. You must use the disks that came as part of the boxed set... to install from.
If you bought the App Store version of Logic Pro 9 then go to the Mac App Store App, Sign into the Store using the same Apple ID you used to purchase LP originally, look under the Purchase Tab and you shouldl find LP9 ready and waiting for you to download and install.
