I am unable to import my passwords from Firefox 23.01.

I have my passwords stored on Lastpass in Firefox 23 (using Windows 7) and wish to import them to Android Firefox on my new Nexus 10 tablet. I set up a sync, making sure that the andoid firefox did not have a masterpassword (I read that this can cause problems for the sync). I then did a sync, including passwords. I then waited but no passwords appeared on android firefox.
My hope is to import them and then use the android master password option to protect them.

Did you try to set up a master password to sync if that makes Firefox sync the passwords.

Unable to import .avi files from digicam

I'm unable to import .avi files from my finepix digicam. I get a message that says the files are unreadable. With the previous iPhoto version (v 06) I didn't have any problems. Any thoughts?

I agree with TD regarding Image Capture. I have the same problem with larger video clips and iPhoto 6. You can use Image Capture, choose "Download Some", select just the movie, and upload it to your Desktop. Ignore the blue Progress bar, as it seems to jump from zero to 100% with no real indication of the download progress. Be patient, leave it alone, and eventually the movie should appear on your Desktop. Once there, iPhoto should have no trouble importing it.

I installed Firefox sync and then used iphone app called FireFox Home and I can syncronize history, tabs and bookmarks. But I am NOT able to syncronize passwords from Firefox in my Macbook to FireFox Home on iPhone !

Unable to import movie files from iphoto '08 into imovie HD

I have recently bought a 2008 macbook (2.2 GHz) and have recently downloaded imovie HD in addition to owning iLife '08 due to its extra capabilities. I have found that I am unable to import any of my movie files from my iphoto library folder as it seems to need to open the actual iphoto application before the files can be accessed. In addition, when not using any specific program it would be nice to be able to access my photo/video files within the iphoto folder without iphoto automatically opening as the default viewer.

lucky you.. .avi is just a container, no 'format'/codec .. I can show you dozends of .avis, which will NOT import into iMHD6, due to being playback-codecs, not convertable by the underlying Quicktime engine into separte, editable audio+video streams ..

dv is 13GB/h and a codec meant for editing; e.g. it stores every frame (video=30 frams/sec) of a recording, as mpegs usually doesn't do so.. = your Mac has to estimate content, when converting and 'recovering' the content = lossy process.
iMHD6 is a dv-editor; the mpeg4 feature is only a toy, to spice up iSight recordings.. for sure, the QTengine can convert a lot, but too much conversion (from one lossy codec, e.g. divx, into another, e.g. mp4) means a (dramatic) loss of pic quality..

Unable to import new images from finder into lightroom 5 since update

Since I updated my Lightroom 5 and Photshop CS6, I have been unable to import images from my finder (MacPro) or save edited images from Photoshop editor back into my Lightroom 5 library. Please help!

I Managed to edit images in Lightroom and then clicked on photo editor photoshop to make further editiding.After i click on save, it doesn't come back into my Lightroom 5 library.
i Then saved the image into my computer and tried to import from there, but images quickly appear and then disappear :-(

Unable to import RAW files from my 400D, (XTi) Even if its a supported cam

Hi,
I have been unable to upload RAW files from my Canon XTi, a.k.a. 400D. I know this camera is supported and I am running Mac OS X 10.4.8 on an Intel Core Duo Mac Book.
iPhoto had no issues with my previous Canon 350D raw files, yet its not working with the 400D. Is very likely a matter of installing an update, yet when i tried to install the ppl version it stated that this was not to be installed on this system. Would there be an update specific for Intel based machines to support the 400d?
Has anyone experienced this same issue that would like to share in their resolution? This would definetively be appreciated.

For a webservice, we have implemented basic authentication (plain text password) using jdeveloper wizard. We are successfully getting the textbox for username and password. However, the problem is when trying to extract the username and password from the soapHeader on the server side.
Here is the soap message:

of "MS Powerpoint 2007" and use the "Save As" function to save a

Your profile indicates that you are using OS X 10.6.8. You will need OS X 10.7.2 or better in order to use Icloud and sync your contacts.

Try following this (it's slightly different that the one above):
Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (any iCloud contacts will still be in iCloud).
Download the app My Contacts Backup. (If you have more than 500 contacts to transfer you will need the “Pro” version.) Use the app to backup the remaining contacts on your phone (from the other accounts/groups) as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself. Confirm that you have received the email.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section), and set this to iCloud.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your Yahoo account and turn off contacts syncing with Yahoo.
Open the My Contacts Backup email and tap the attachment to import the contacts from the other groups back to your phone, and to iCloud.

You may find as I did that you don't have to export anything from your existing browser(s).
Go into Safari and click on the 'book' icon on the toolbar below your navigation bar.
This will bring up the Bookmark page below. Scan through the list of the left-hand side of the screen.
What I saw was that there were 2 folders included already (without exporting anything); one for imported IE bookmarks, and another for Imported Firefox bookmarks. I then selected all of the links inside my Firefox folder and dragged them into the Bookmarks Menu folder and that was all I needed to do. I didn't want my IE bookmarks, so I deleted that folder along with my now empty Firefox bookmarks folder.
You may have similar luck if you check here first. You can always manually export/import later if you wish.
