    Hi,
Don't know what's happening but when trying to install the package downloaded from http://www.open.collab.net/downloads/community/the package will not install after accepting the license agreement.
    Introduction > Continue
    ReadMe > Continue
    License > Continue > Agree
After that there is only one item: Install for all users ... which is highlighted but the continue button is grayed.
    Any guidance will be appreciated.

  • Unable to Install Flash on Mac OS X Mountain Lion

I have attempted several times to install Flash Player (11.7.700.225) on Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), and every time I attempt to install it hangs on 20% during installation. I have ensured that there is no flash player installed on the Mac currently, and I have also deleted the original Flash download and re-downloaded a couple of times. I also attempted the troubleshooting solution (#7) found here http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html#main-pa rs_header_0. However, this leads me nowhere because as you can see, my resources folder doesn't contain a .pkg file, nor do any of the other folders in the Contents folder (at least from what I can see). Do you have any other solutions for this problem? Cheers.

    Try this installer http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/mac/install_flash_playe r_11_osx.dmg

  • Unable to install Flash on Mac OS X 10.8.4

I am currently running Mac OS X 10.8.4. This morning I had a blocked plug-in message on YouTube, so I tried to install the latest version of Flash. After installing, I was still getting the blocked plug-in message, so I completely uninstalled Flash and tried to reinstall it. Now YouTube is telling me that I don't have Flash at all. I have tried to reinstall twice now and am still unable to get Flash onto my computer.
    Can someone please help me?
    Thank you!

    Spotlight Search Flash Player.plugin
    Search your Mac HD
Trash EVERYTHING that appears in the results.
Empty the Trash, then follow the instructions here: How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X

  • Unable to install Leopard on Mac Pro tower

    Hi all,
I have a Mac Pro w/ 1gb RAM. It installs and runs Tiger just fine but is having problems getting up to Leopard.
When I try to boot to the DVD, it just sits at the grey Apple logo with the spinning icon (not beach ball). I've let it sit for hours and nothing comes up on the screen. No audible noise coming from media drive or the hard drive.
I've tried Target mode which yields the same results. There are no external devices or non standard PCI devices attached to the computer.
I am using a legit Leopard DVD installer and the Mac Pro has been wiped clean using disk utility. I've also reinstalled a clean version of Tiger and tried to upgrade (vs. clean install of Leopard), which also gives me the same results.
If I try to boot to the hard drive, I sometimes get the "purple space" Leopard screen, but all I do is watch the beach ball spin. Whats even more odd is that I never went through the Leopard install so I don't know where that's coming from.
    Help!
    Thanks in advance everyone

    Thanks for the reply.
OK, I get none of those options as I never make it to the setup screens. I would like to do an erase and install, but again when the disk is blank or has a fresh Tiger install, I still don't make it past the Grey Apple icon screen.
I'd even take an Upgrade install at this point, but its not letting me do that either. After I did the erase/install Tiger install, I upgraded to 10.4.11 and popped the drive in. Clicked the installer icon which asks me to reboot, and I start all over with the above problems.

  • Unable to Install Flash Player (Mac)

I'm attempting to install Flash Player on a Mac running Yosemite (10.10.1). Whenever I attempt to open the installer the icon appears in the dock but no UI ever appears and the Activity Monitor describes the application as being unresponsive, forcing me to force quit it. I've also tried using the "Flash Player for Safari and Firefox – NPAPI" installer linked to on the Troubleshooting Page and while that one does bring up a UI and allows me to accept the License Agreement it freezes in the same way when I accept the terms on the first screen and hit install.
This is on a clean install of Yosemite that is not yet 24-hours old. The only other things installed on the Machine are the Homebrew package manager, Java, and Apple's command line development tools.
Many thanks for any insights that you guys can provide.

I just noticed that there was an update for Mac OS X after posting this (10.10.2) and, sure enough, that fixed the problem. Why Flash doesn't install on 10.10.1? It's a mystery.

  • Unable to install (Configure) on Mac OS X (10.4.10)

    Greetings:
I've tried to run the configure within /usr/local/db<ver>/unix_build and got the following error in config.log:
configure:3902: checking for C compiler version
    configure:3909: /opt/local/ccache/bin/cc --version >&5

    | #define PACKAGE_BUGREPORT "Oracle Technology Network Berkeley DB forum"
    | #define HAVE_UPGRADE_SUPPORT 1
    | /* end confdefs.h. */
    The directory /opt/local/ccache/bin/ doesn't exist.
The cc is actually located here:
    [usr/local/db-4.6.21/build_unix]which cc
    /usr/bin/cc
So why does the configuration program insist on looking in the opt directory?
BTW: the /opt... is used by MacPorts.

    Thanks for the insight.
    1) I looked about for 'ccache', did a 'man ccache' and got nothing.
I took your clue and check ~/.ccache and got the following:
    [usr/local/db-4.6.21/build_unix]ls ~/.ccache
    0/ 2/ 4/ 6/ 8/ a/ c/ e/ stats
    1/ 3/ 5/ 7/ 9/ b/ d/ f/
    2) I deleted the entire .ccache directory.
    3) I re-ran the configuration:
    [usr/local/db-4.6.21/build_unix]../dist/configure
    checking build system type... i386-apple-darwin8.10.1
    checking host system type... i386-apple-darwin8.10.1
But I still got the same problem:
    configure:3691: result: /usr/bin/install -c
configure:3902: checking for C compiler version
    configure:3909: /opt/local/ccache/bin/cc --version >&5
../dist/configure: line 1: /opt/local/ccache/bin/cc: No such file or directory
I checked MacPorts about the ccache:
    [usr/local/db-4.6.21/build_unix]port search ccache
    ccache devel/ccache 2.4 object-file caching compiler wrapper
    [usr/local/db-4.6.21/build_unix]port installed ccache
None of the specified ports are installed.
Apparently I don't have ccache installed (via MacPorts).
Question: How do I get rid/disable the ccache?
...or perhaps a different solution is warranted??
    Ric.

  • Unable to install java on Mac OSX Lion.

When getting promted with a "you must download java runtime"-dialogue box, it says I'm not connected to an internet connection when I most certainly are. I've tried every known method for installing java on this OS, all of them prompts me with the same error-message. As I am posting from my Macbook on this board right now, I am indeed connected to the internet.
... any thoughts? I think this is a tad more hassle than it needs to be.
    Best regards,
    trymv.

    Please don't close the thread.
The "solution" misses the point of the problem.
The Java runtime won't install because of some phanton network connection problem. The network works just fine for everything else, but this dialogue box ("To open “Dreamweaver,” you need to install a Java runtime, but you are not connected to the Internet.") keeps popping up, and then you are stuck.

  • Unable to install xbmc on Mac mini 2007

I am able to download installation file but cannot load it

  • On a Mac, unable to install latest Flash Player 12.0.0.44--or reinstall previous version that worked

I am on a Mac running the last version of Snow Leopard before Mavericks, 10.8.5.  I am unable to install the new Flash Player 12.0.0.4--at about the 50% mark on the installing bar, it stops and I get an error message that installation failed.  The version I had previously for some time, either 10. or 11. worked perfectly but I am not unable to reinstall any previous version either.  So I have a project I cannot run that requires Flash Player and can't watch videos.
I found someone in a forum who mentioned he'd seen several people on Snow Leopard unable to install Flash Player but his directions to overcome that which did work for someone who tried it, appear to be for PC's: from his first direction of right-clicking, I didn't get the option he says to click on that starts the process.
Can anyone tell me how to install this new Flash Player in a Mac on Snow Leopard?  Should I trash all the new versions of the installer and the Flash Player Debugger Version 11.4.402.287 (11.4) that I have from a previous installment, prior to trying again?
    Thanks for any help.

What I'm looking for is specifically the "General Installation Error", since it's 10.8.5.
You're missing a file that was made visible by the 10.8.5 update. Hundreds of thousands of Mac users all over the world deleted it, not knowing what it was. It causes this when it's missing.
Download this file: "Secrets" pereference pane
    And this one: mach_kernel.zip
Install Secrets, and open your System Preferences.
Open the Secrets Preference Pane, and check "Show hidden files"
You'll need to press the "Quit this" button,
and restart Finder, by right clicking the Dock icon.
Then, place the mach_kernel.zip file in the Mac HD directory,
and unzip it. You should see a "faded" mach_kernel file appear.
    Trash the zip file.
Reopen your System Preferences and uncheck "Show Hidden files".
Instead of quitting Finder and relaunching it, reboot your Mac.
Your Flash Player installer won't quit anymore.

  • Unable to install Acrobat Pro 6 Upgrade on Mac Mini single CPU, OS 10.4.5

I have a Mac Mini (1.5 GHz, Intel Core Solo) with 512 mb RAM running OS X (10.4.5)
Unable to install Adobe Acrobat Professional 6 upgrade because I am unable to install earlier version full version (I own Acrobat 4 and 5 full versions). Finalizing install of 6 asks me to "Manually identify prior install", "Search hard drive for prior install", or "Manually locate on orig. CD". None of these options are possible (Version 5 CD is not a drag-and-drop app). How do I work around this?

I tried "Manually select..." but when I insert original CD of Acrobat 5, I'm not able to select it. Version 5 is not a drag and drop install,...i must click on the installer to install 5.

  • Unable to Install Photoshop & Premiere Elements 13 on MAC 10.9.5

Hello. I received Photoshop & Premiere Elements 13 for Christmas. It was purchased from Amazon (Amazon inc., not a third-party vendor). I have a MAC, running OS 10.9.5, which aligns with system requirements. I have been unable to install the software at all. One time I received a message that the software was not legitimately Adobe software. Otherwise, the disc is ejected automatically. Everything indicates it is Adobe software (serial number, packaging, etc.) Any ideas? Thank you, Melissa
    Correcting Title

Thanks. I downloaded Elements, and started to install, but can't get past the serial number screen.
There are several numbers on the back of the DVD box. I assumed the serial number was the long number above the bar code on the right - < removed > - but that doesn't fill the spaces and I don't get the 'NEXT' button.
The instructions say that the serial number will start with 1057 - so I tried added that to the beginning of the number above. Didn't work.
There is also a PN number on the back of the box, and a shorter number under a bar code on the left - < removed >
Can you tell me what I need to enter to install?
    I haven't downloaded Premiere yet...
    Thanks,
    Melissa
