I am unable to install LR plugins (LR4) (Mac OS)

I am instructed to drag plugins into a plugin folder, but LR itself is not contained in a folder I can open. From the finder I can ask to "show package contents" and can see plugins from this view. But I cannot access this contents folder from within LR itself. I am attaching a couple of screenshots to illustrate.

Jessica, you don't want to install plug-ins in the app as they'll disappear every time you upgrade. Just put them somewhere safe on your hard drive, where you're not going to move them. Some people create a plug-ins folder in Macintosh HD / Users / [your username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / Lightroom / so they're stored with your other LR presets, although you have to jump through a few hoops to find that folder as it's hidden.
Go to File menu > Plug-in Manager and press the Add button, then navigate to wherever you stored the plug-in, and you'll be all set.

Unable to install robohelp plugin for framemaker

Hi,
I have FM8 and RoboHelp HTML 9. When I open a new project and try to import a FrameMaker document or book I get the "unable to install robohelp plugin for framemaker" error.
I tried with FrmaMaker open and closed - same thing.
With RH7 it used to work.
Any ideas?

Unsure about the plugin message, but you can import FM into RH9. The problem may be that you have a current RH9, but not a current FM10. Try downloading a trial of FM10, create a v10 copy of your book, and see if that imports.

Whether I try to install Saros from the Marketplace, Install New Software, or drag and dropping a link into the workspace it always returns "Unable to read repository at ..." Connection reset

Unable to install Eclipse Plugin for Azure

I am unable to install the Eclipse Plugin for Azure. I have Eclipse Indigo and have installed the Azure SDK 2.3. When I try to add the site http://dl.msopentech.com/eclipse in the Install New Software window I get an authentication pop-up.
When I try my Microsoft ID it fails authentication. The instructions do not mention any authentication. What should I put in here?

This plugin requires Azure SDK 2.3. This can be downloaded using the Web Platform Installer (WebPI) at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=252838. However, if you don’t have it installed, when you create your first Azure deployment project, the plugin will automatically install
Azure SDK 2.3.
Also, you could download the sdk from GitHub (https://github.com/MSOpenTech/WindowsAzureToolkitForEclipseWithJava ) and manually install . And you could refer to this blog

Unable to install FB4 plugin on Galileo EE (Windows 7)

I was not able to install FB4 plugin on Eclipse Galileo 3.5 EE on my Windows 7. Absolutely no response from FB4_Plugin_Win_Installer.exe.

Unable to install adobe flashplayer on mac 10.9.2

Hi I recently upgraded to 10.9.2 and I am unable to install Adobe Flashplayer on Safari. I've done an uninstall and downloaded and tried to reinstall but it hangs a little more than halfway. All I get is an error message saying there's an error - no specifics.

Are you trying to install this: Adobe Flash Player 12.0.0.77?
I would suggest doing the following:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
Try installing Flash again.

Unable to install Flash on older Mac-running 10.5.8

Help! Is anyone else unable to install an older version of Flash on their less-then brand new computer(PowerMacG4)?? I'm running 10.5.8. I've downloaded the Uninstaller(which has a pink x in the upper-right corner) but two versions of Flash remain on my computer. When I try to install the version of Flash which adobe has recommended I get this message:

I then click the"Get Flash…” which takes me to the same page which asks for the operating system I have and the version I need, I type in what they offer and go through the same thing.

Pulled this paragragh from an article talking about Apple pulling Flash from iOS in favor of HTML5..."Mac users take note: Flash requires OS X 10.6 or later running on an Intel platform since Adobe removed support for PowerPC Macs in Flash 10"
Not really sure what that all means, I believe I am not intel but PC. I will look into HTML5

Unable to Install AbobeFlashPlayer 16 on Mac running Yosemite 10.10.1

When i try to download the software in which it downloads the installer i get a ".mdip" file that all it does when opened is open a TextEdit script on my mac and NOT the AdobeFlashPlayer Installer and clearly i am unable to install the latest AdobeFlashPlayer.
I attached a photo of the file that gets downloaded off of adobes official site that installs the latest software, and i also attached a file of the text that is opened when i selected the file that i downloaded off of the website.

This means that your computer (or some software on your computer) added the '.mdip' extension to your dmg downloads.
Suggestion: download the offline installer http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg
If it also gets that .mdip extension, remove it, then run the dmg installer.

Unable to install Flash Player on Mac

I am unable to install the latest version of Flash Player on my MacBook Pro. When the installer starts, the download hangs at 25%. Subsequent tries seem to have the download starting (and getting stuck) at 25%. I have tried uninstalling and fixing permissions and restarting; same result. Any advice?

We're aware of the Mac installer quitting unexpectedly and are working on a fix. In the mean time, please use the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page in the 'Still having problems' section.

Please direct me as to how to install acrobat standard on mac computer. I had trial basis and now my computer is all fouled up and message received that must be installed on windows computer. How do I handle this dilemma.

If you have Acrobat Standard, it is Windows software. You cannot install Windows software on your Mac.
If it was purchased, get a refund.
If it was bundled, then you just can't use it.

Unable to install SmugMug plugin into Lightroom

I've been using Lightroom and the SmugMug plugin for a long time. I got a new computer and set everything up using Creative Cloud installed LR. No problems there. Went to use my SmugMug publishing and it said the add wasn't installed. No problem, there is this nice link takes you to the page. Press add. It shows up in the Creative Cloud app manager. Cool. But I can't get it to show up in the plug in manager of LR.
I find out that the Extension Manager can help, ok so I install that. It shows having SmugMug already installed. Great.
It still doesn't show up in LR. I even tried downloading the zip file, but the zip format is something I can't extract.
I'm obviously missing something some where, but beats the hell out of me where. If you are going manage plug ins, why don't they show up in LR automatically?

I found the answer, don't use the Adobe tools. Go to SmugMug download the zip file and then import with the LR Plug In Manager.

According to the error message, it says that the SharePointWiki.dll.manifest file is missing. It should be the solution issue.

Unable to install Flash Player on Mac mini

Hi Folks! You all have probably encountered this question before...so here goes. I own a mid 2010 Mac mini running OS X 10.10 (Yosemite). Had Adobe Flash player running fine then was prompted to upgrade (text read "Your Flashplayer is outdated") Attempted the installation but it kept failing with an error: "Unable to proceed with the installation. Previously when it ran successfully, I first remembered reading and "accepting" the terms and conditions and clicking on the "accept" box...this dialogue was curiously absent overtime the installation was unsucessful. Any ideas? Suggestions? I need HELP!!!
