I am unable to listen to voice memos via Email.

When I record a voice memo (i.e. 12 seconds) and send it to my email, I am unable to listen to it, even though I have QuickTime.

- Can you listen to it on your iPod?
- Can you listen to it if you sync it to your computer?
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order

Copy that voice memo, create a new email and paste it and send it to yourself! You can save it to your computer now and send it to someone else

Unable to play voice memo via networked iTunes

All of my audio files on are on my iMac. When I'm in other parts of my house, I have no problem playing them through iTunes on my MacBook Pro, with one exception: a voice memo I recorded with my iPhone.
That file plays fine on iTunes on my iMac, but when I try to access it via the MacBook Pro it won't play.
Any suggestions?

I just created a second voice memo in the same manner to see if the problem was specific just to that one file: I had the problem with this second voice memo too.

Voice memos keeps emailing the same memo over and over.

I used voice memos just once two days ago. I created a short (30 secs) memo and emailed it to my yahoo account. The file keeps getting sent to my inbox. 20 times so far! I've deleted it from voice memo but it keeps getting sent. HOW DO I STOP IT! Anyone else had this problem? I'm with virgin mobile in Australia.

I have had this exact same problem. Over the past few days I've been e-mailed the same voice memo at least 50 times. I also have a yahoo account, maybe this has something to do with it. I even deleted the voice memo from my iPhone but it continues to be e-mailed over and over.
I don't have a solution, just wanted you to know it's happened to me too.

Trouble sending Voice memo through email.

i recorded a Voice memo at about 4 min 37 seconds and it keeps failing to send it off. I tried to reboot the phone and reload it, and send it over and over again with no luck.
Any suggestions?

well all i can tell because it's an audio memo is that it is 4 min and 48 seconds long. I looked up in the iPhone guide and it says if it's too large it will alert me. It doesn't seem to have problem with size for it loads up in a email, but just keeps getting an error message while sending.
It ends up in the out box and keeps trying to send it.

Just updated to Photoshop Elements 12 and am unable to send photo via Adobe email.service. I am unable to get a verification code via email to be able to continue the email transmission.

How do I get a verification code which I need to send photo via email from Photoshop Elements 12? Instructions say that I'm to receive verification code via email but none arrived.

Unable to listen to voice mails for SEVEN DAYS?!?!?!?

It's been a week since I've been able to listen to my voice mails online. (I have five messages, and I hope that none of them are important.) And I see that I'm not the only customer with this problem. Unacceptable, especially since Verizon is a PHONE company first and foremost.
Do you have any plans on addressing this issue any time soon? Please let me know since my contract is up in a few months. As much as I dislike Cablevision, I never had a problem with their digital phone service and they are looking pretty good right now.

TS1425 My iPod Classic was working fine all day. Came home and uploaded to voice memos via iTunes, now there is no sound coming from my iPod. I've used both headphones and a docking station. The songs don't even begin, they just skip to the next one.

Hi, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
Have you tried resetting the PMU?
I'm not optimistic that this will help any more than the procedures you've already tried, but it won't hurt to try.
Do you still have your OS 9 installation? If so, try booting into OS 9 and see if the problems with the audio are happening there, too. If so, you can bet it's a hardware problem.
How big is your hard drive and how much space remains available on it? If you don't have your OS 9 installation in order to check out whether it's a hardware problem and you have enough available hard drive space, you may want to try an Archive and Install of the OS in order to make sure it isn't an OS X system-wide problem. If that doesn't do it, you could back up your hard drive and restore your software.
All of this may just be spinning your wheels, but it's all stuff you can try before shelling out a lot of money for repairs.

Vonage Voice mail via eMail on iPhone

Vonage sends emails out with a *.wav file attached of the voice mails I get on my home phone. Quick time on the iPhone says, "Unable to play movie." Does anyone know if *.wav will ever be supported on the iPhone or if there is a "work around" out there for this problem.

You can be assigned an e-mail address through iphoneconvert.com, which you can put in your Vonage e-mail settings. Your e-mails from Vonage are automatically converted and then e-mailed to you. This has been a lifesaver for me.

I am unable to send photos from iphoto via email as an attachment to be downloaded onto another computer. i thought e-mail would automatically pick up these photos if mailed out so they could be downloaded.

At one time I was able to send photos from i photo library and I assumed the receiver could open these and download them into their apple computer (family).
I have tried to send photos from library or folder as attachment but I am also unable to do this. How do I send pictures as e-mail attachments which can be opened up and downloaded to another computer?

I've managed to sort out my own problem!! Shall write it down in case there are others out there who have a similar problem. With iPhoto open, click on iPhoto on the top menu bar. Click on preferences. Then click on account. This let me change the details such as the user name and password. Luckily I played around with a couple of my usual passwords, and found one that worked. Have now written it down!!!!

UNABLE TO SEND PHOTOS FROM IPHOTO VIA EMAIL

I have OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3, and IPhoto 11. Until recently I have been able to share pictures via email directly from IPhoto. All of a sudden I get the error message "username and password not recognized." I have Verizon FIOS. I tried all of the suggestions in previous discussion and none seem to work. I tried changing the ports suggested. deleting and reentering all the pertinent data, checking and unchecking SSL The port on my email account is 110 and on IPhoto it is 587. I tried matching them but nothing seems to work. The user name and password have not changed and I know them. I have doubled check everything I can think of. I think it worked fine before IPhoto 11. It has just changed all of a sudden. I am really flabbergasted. Please help.

Since you've tried all the fixes already what's left is to set Mail as your email client in iPhoto's General preference pane and use it. If you want fancy layouts you can use the photo stationary layouts that are available in Mail:
Using Mail as your client will also give you a Sent copy.

when I select this item on the main screen it goes to the "recording mic" but immediately goes back to main screen. I am unable to access my voice memos. I have shut down my phone several times to no avail. Anyone else having this issue?

When an app goes back to the main screen (by which I think you mean the screen that shows many apps) by itself, that indicates the app is "crashing".
You should restore your iPhone. Plug it in to iTunes (current version: 11.0.4). Let it sync, then choose "Restore" from the iPhone's summary screen in iTunes.

Old voice memos reappeared on iPhone

I still have a 4S, just put iOS7 on it a week or so ago. I use Voice Memos alot, they've been transferring over to iTunes on the desktop just fine until today. Yesterday, I had between 5-10 voice memos on both the iPhone and in iTunes. Today, I synced, and have hundreds of voice memos on the phone, and 8 in iTunes. The ones on the phone go back to 11/8/13, plus one extra one from 8/2/12. The 8 on the phone are current messages from yesterday and today. The hundreds on the phone are messages that were long ago deleted, they do not appear in iTunes. What do you supposed happened? And how do I get them off of the iPhone all at once? I can't delete them one at a time, that would take a week.

iTunes should automatically sync voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPhone to your computer. This lets you listen to voice memos on your computer and provides a backup if you delete them from iPhone.
Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos application until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo from iTunes, it is deleted from iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes.
Once in iTunes, you can then export/copy them to whatever software you're using.
