Turns out this may have been caused by having multiple IP addresses on one NIC
Find some error message by the
Lync Server 2010 Logging Tool.
Also Check your configuration is set according to Microsoft best practices with
Best Practices Analyzer.

I'm trying to do video calls from my Macbook Air to my sister's iPad2. I am living in the Philippines and my sister is from Australia.
Is there any issues about its location? I tried to find a solution in Google then I found out we should change the dns server to 8.8.8.8, but unfortunately its not working at all.
Any advise?

N97 unable to make a call from contacts list

Hey, I was looking for some confirmation from others about this. I tried to make a call this morning by doing exactly what I would do on my E71 or N95 when a contact has multiple numbers:
1) Opened up my contacts.
2) Clicked a contact with multiple numbers, that already had a default one set.
3) The main contact screen pops up that shows you the picture of the person and gives you 4 options of things to do.
4) Because I wanted to call one of the other phone numbers, not the default one, I clicked the tab at the top that shows you all the contact information you have for said contact.
5) I then clicked the number I wanted and then clicked the call button.
6) Nothing happened. I kept clicking it thinking it didn't register and still nothing happened.
I tried this for 6 other contacts who have multiple numbers with defaults, and I even tried it with contacts who had only one number. I'm not allowed to make a call that way. The only way to make a phone call to a contact with multiple numbers is to not have any defaults set so when I go to step (3) above, I have to click "Voice call" and then select the number I want to call.
This **bleep** me off like nothing else after I discovered this. So before I go have a pleasant conversation with someone from Nokia I just wanted to know if this is the same for everybody else.

Similar issue can up with MMS/SMS'ing to non-default numbers (Clicky...)
You need to use the same process, ie...
Open Contacts >> Open the contact you wish to phone >> With Voice Call selected click "options" >> "Select other number" >> then just pick the number you want to call.
Slightly easier than SMS/MMS'ing as Voice Call is at the top of the list so selected by default

Facebook video is not available for mobile, yet. The plug-in is only released for desktop PC where Facebook is available through a browser.
For android you can use alternative is SKYPE

Recently I bought lenovo a6000 plus from flipkart. But I am not able to make video call from this phone or any apps like WhatsApp, IMO, skyppe etc. My sim is 3g and I have 3 g data pack also I m in 3g network area. So what's the problem? Is it phone's problem or something else. Also when would be lollipop update will be released for this phone? Please reply soon.

Help! Am logged on but can't make video calls

I need help! I can make video calls on my desktop but since about 10 days ago i cannot make video calls from my laptop, even though i am signed in (like now). I just get the Skype Can't Connect error message and the endless circling arrow on right side.

If it's only happening to that one contact then the issue may very well be on their end. Their Internet speed, version, and router settings are a consideration. You can pass this information along to them:
1. Make sure they are using the latest version of Skype.
2. Hopefully their Internet speed is ample. For Skype to get the most out of that speed, you can suggest they place their computers's IP in the DMZ or their router or forward TCP/UDP ports 1024-65535. Disabling the use of 80/443 and uPnP in the Skype client software (if the option exists) can resolve stability issues. This can be done on your end as well to provide the most ideal conditions.
3. If they are going wireless have them try to go wired to see if anything changes.

You'd need an app like Skype to video call with other phones.
Data transfer is not supported via bluetooth and iphone to iphone is not supported at all.

Can't make video calls to Canada from UK

I am old age pensioner, new to Skype, but have new Skype compliant TV and video camera. When I try to call Toronto in Canada (where part of my family have recently located) the call connects and immediately terminates with the message 'connection dropped due to network failure'.
I can make video calls to other members of my family in the UK with no difficulty. I also have high speed broadband.
Any ideas?

Video calls from iPhone to HTC

Does anyone know if it's currently possible to make a video call from an iPhone to an HTC Desire? Assuming Facetime won't work, maybe something like Skype would do it?

If you both have a skype app I dont see any reason you shouldnt be able to make a video call. You would need an iPhone 4 or 4s because of the forward facing camera.

FIX:
1. You need Time Machine
2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.
