I am unable to movies and videos in to my itunes

I am unable to movies and videos in to my itunes

Yes! It is set up for manual management because I have way more music than will fit on my nano so I am only putting my favorites on it! It's just odd that the music on the 2 new CDs I downloaded into iTunes will not copy over! When I drag my songs to the playlist I made on my nano it acts like it is copying because I get the number of songs icon and the + sign indicating that it is copying but then the playlist is empty. The nano will say for a couple seconds that it is synchronizing but in the end nothing has transferred! If I take an older song and drag it into the playlist it does copy! Seem like it has to do with the new CDs being compatible with nano? I would really appreciate any advice! Thanks!

You convert them to a format compatible with the iPhone, import them to iTunes, and sync them to the phone.

You have to have an internet connection, either wireless or through a computer with iTunes.  When you choose Software Update you can only update to the latest version for your iPod Touch, iOS 6.1.6

Movie & TV content is only available in the US store at this time. Until the copyright holders in Australia authorize Apple to distribute this content, there is nothing Apple can do.

  • Can my computer play movies and videos transferred to time capsule

can my computer play movies and videos transferred to time capsule

I use InFuse, an iPhone, iPad, App.
It can play the video on the iPhone or iPad.
I use it to play on the TV using AirPlay and AppleTV.
It does transcoding where needed. It uses screen mirroring for native formats such as mp4.
It can look up the movie and TV series database for information, plot description, rating, cover art etc.
For playing on the Mac just open the file in Quicktime.

  • Since the new updates am unable to move and scale a photo when trying to apply it as wallpaper or to a contact.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

SInce getting the new updates I am unable to move and scale a picture when I am trying to assign it as wallpaper or as a contact. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

It's a known issue. You do have more control if you go into the photos app, resize etc and then send it to your wallpaper. It wont' be perfect, but better.

Can I hook my iPhone 3 up to my tv and watch movies and videos? If so what cables do I need?

I've done this before. First, I had the current acct owner call in and say it's okay for me to assume liability on the line. Next, I called in and explained that the owner already called and gave permission for me to assume the line. Notes were on the account. I was transferred to the assumption of liability dept, I accepted the terms and conditions and we were good to go. The old owner will get a final bill up until the point of transfer and you will get a new bill starting at the point of transfer.

  • Can Movies and TV series purchased with iTunes be viewed with ATV?

Can Movies and TV series purchased with iTunes be viewed with ATV?

Yes, they can. You can view them either through Home Sharing via your iTunes library or you can stream them from the iTunes Store buttons on the ATV home menu (Movies, TV Shows).

  • Want to change resolution of movies and video clips so they load on ipod classic, what program to use?

I have downloaded some movies and movie videos but they will not load into my ipod classic.  Think it is likely they are to big,   Is there a good program to reduce the resolution size to fit an ipod.  I have a small program that converts them to MPEG-4 but they still do not load.  Must be their size.

Uh ... yes there are places you can get Movies/TV shows for your iPod other than iTunes, but some are illegal and therefore against the terms of service of these Forums.
I'd suggest doing a Google search or asking in another site's forum. Just to be safe. The only one I know I can tell you about safely is Audible.com, they are partners with Apple for the distribution of Audiobooks, but not Movies/TV shows

  • How to play DVD movie and video on Blackberry

This guide is mainly about how to rip DVD and convert video to BlackBerry Storm. First, you should know what video format is BlackBerry Storm supports.
Because DVD has CSS copyright protection, we need a program to rip DVD and convert video for BlackBerry Storm. The tool we use is BlackBerry Converter Suite, it includes two programs: DVD to BlackBerry Storm Converter and BlackBerry Storm Video Converter. This program not only supports BlackBerry Storm, but also BlackBerry Curve, BlackBerry Pearl and BlackBerry Bold series.
It supports audio and video format as follow:
Video: DVD, ISO, AVI, MPEG, MKV, MP4, MP4-AVC, M4V, WMV, MOV, 3GP, 3G2, MPG, FLV, ASF, VOB
    Audio: WMA, M4A, MP3, AAC, AC3, WMA
For more info about this BlackBerry Converter Suite, you can refer to here.
And here is the free download link, about 12.4 MB.
Now, let’s start the guide about converting DVD and Video to BlackBerry Storm.
Step1, Download and install the BlackBerry Storm converter, and then run it.
Step2. Load DVD into the software by clicking “Add DVD file”.
Here we can load three kinds of DVD's:
    1. Real DVD, just put the DVD in your DVD drive and click load DVD, (you can find it by clicking the triangle on the right of 'load file' button.)
    2. DVD ISO image, you can amount your ISO files in the daemon tools and then load the virtual DVD drive.
    3. A DVD folder, sometimes you may store the DVD folder in your hard drive, it appears like "Video_TS" "Audio_TS" folders. You can load it by clicking the "load DVD folders" button.
Step3. Select Profile, Subtitle, Audio, output directory setting
After you load DVD into the software, click the Profile drop-down list to select the proper format according to your BlackBerry Type, this guide is mainly about how to convert DVD and video to BlackBerry Storm, so we select the “BlackBerry Storm series(*.mp4)” profile.
Regular DVD movies usually have several subtitles such as English, French, German, etc. You can select one you prefer. You can also delete the subtitle by selecting “No Subtitle”. Selecting Audio is the same. If you want to join all your DVD files into one video file, please select the option named “Merge into one file”. For more advanced setting, you can open the setting panel by clicking “Setting”.
    Step4. Start the conversion
After all things done, you can click the “Start” to begin the conversion; it will take about 30 minutes for converting a regular two hours DVD movie. When the conversion finished, click “find target” to located the converted video on your computer, connect your BlackBerry Storm to computer, and then copy the video to your BlackBerry memory card, that’s all. Then you can enjoy your favorites DVD movies on your BlackBerry Storm.
For converting video to BlackBerry Storm, you can click “Video to BlackBerry” to run the BlackBerry Movie Converter, the operation steps are similar to DVD to BlackBerry Converter, So I’m not repeat here. But I want to add some tips to the BlackBerry Movie Converter.
    1. The Video to BlackBerry Converter supports batch conversion, so you can add multiple video files at one time.
    2. The Video to BlackBerry Converter embeds powerful video editing functions, you can use it to cut video, trim video, crop video, and you can even add a watermark to the video.
    3. The Video to BlackBerry Converter can also help you convert video file to MP3, WMA, AAC, etc audio, so you can set it as your BlackBerry ringtone.

STOP.....WHAT DOES "HOW TO CONVERT DVD MOVIE AND SET THEM ON THE IPOD" HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS DISCUSSION FORUM?
    This is very simple:
THe 5G IPOD is designed to seamsleslly play video acquired from the ITUNES music store. What does that mean? It means that if you get the video from the Itunes music store it should work, and if it does not work, you then post the relevant question in the ITUNES discussion forum.
If you want to rip DVD's, by all means, search in websites like www.videohelp.com, or search in google. If you do not find the answer there, then search here.
This particular question has been ASKED countless times and the last time I checked the forum was called Using Your 5th Generation IPOD", not "How do I get XYZ type video to play on the IPOD" nor "How do I use ABC program to rip, convert, a DVD"?
Have you checked first the video specs of the video ipod? What formats, codecs, etc? before posting your question here?
Don't get me wrong, we are here to help, but it is a little bit irritating to see newcomers post questions without having searched for the answers first, specially on a topic that has been addressed so many times as this one

  • Movies and videos won't play since last update

since the recent update to itunes, my tv shows and movies will not play.  as soon as a movie is selected to play, I get this popup with itunes has stopped working-checking for a solution-blahblahblah-closing program.  Itunes is exited.  have done the quicktime preferences uncheck 3D, have done the safe mode, have done the uninstall and reinstall itunes.  nothing works.  now, the unchecking 3D will allow the movie to play but at choppy audio and video, not enjoyable at all.  i'm using my desktop for this (windows vista64 bit).  Apple will allow not phone support for itunes and got the usual "oh, we're not aware of this problem", yet google it and you see it's pretty common.  before the recent update (sep 2012), itunes worked fine.   help please.

    Hi Rick,
Interesting thread on Quark's forums. Mark Douma posts here, too. Very knowledgeable with the how fonts work in direct relation to the OS.
I just opened a bunch of OpenType fonts and launched Quark. No problems. But as Mark noted, you'll see the bug pop up after a restart and then try to open the document that uses the OpenType fonts.
However, I created a simple document using a half dozen different OpenType fonts and saved it to the desktop. Going by Mark's assumption about the cache files, I shut down my Mac and turned it back on. Essentially the same as turning it on the next day. Per his thoughts, I left the font cache files alone, activated the fonts again in Suitcase Fusion and launched Quark 6.52 by double clicking the document I had just created. Quark and the document opened without a hitch.
Per Mark's post at Quark's forums, Quark should have crashed since I'm doing this all under 10.4.10. That tells me that while the font cache files are the problem for those who need to keep clearing the cache files to get OpenType fonts to work each day, it's not due to OS 10.4.6+. Since I'm having no issues (and never have), I would have to believe it's more likely to be a damaged OS that's causing the problems. If the OS is damaged, then the likelihood that it will in turn write damaged cache files is high.
Or, Quark is damaged. It writes its own font cache files in the /Applications/QuarkXPress 6.0/jaws/ttfont/ folder. If you cleared only those cache files out and relaunched Quark, it might work without clearing the system cache files. That would tell you for sure that Quark needs to be reinstalled rather than the OS.

  • Movies and Video

I can't find instructions on how to put movies or video on my daughters iPod Nano ....
    Thanks Much

When the Nano is connected to iTunes, use the Movie, TV show and Podcast tabs to select what items from your library you want synced to the Nano.
Or maybe I'm not understanding your question?

  • Movies and video will not play on iTunes

For the last two weeks none of my videos in my iTunes library will play; neither TV shows, movies purchased from the iTunes store, or my own vidoes added to my library. Not sure what to do.
Videos play fine on my iPad, but through iTunes on my PC, nothing. iTunes just freezes up to the point where I have to "end-task" the operation through my Task Manager.

There are many posts on this topic. I stumbled across the answer in a desperate bit of Googling outside apple.com last night. The problem lies in the user interface design for iTunes, and deleting prefs doesn't fix it. The menu bar view->video size options for display size when not in full screen have NO EFFECT on the display size when full screen (command-F) is toggled on. When full screen is on, the viewing size is controlled by RIGHT CLICKING anywhere in the play control box that appears when you move the mouse. The menu you get looks like the menu bar version, but only affects full screen operation. I think this is horrendously bad UI design. If it is useful to have separate settings for display size for full and normal screen view, then BOTH sets of settings should be available in the menu bar version of this menu, and tricky crap like a properties menu attached to a disappearing control box during full screen play should have a stake driven through its little black heart.
iTunes help is silent on the topic. Why anyone would expect to find a right-click menu expanding from a disappearing control box is beyond me. Are there any examples where this idea is used elsewhere and turned out to be a good idea? Where its use is so clear that anyone could find it and no documentation is needed? The number of posts about this problem, not to mention other aspects of full screen play, such as an option to blank or not blank a second screen, or not have the movie and the iTunes mini-player jump all over the place when the zoom button is clicked, suggest that this is an area that is overdue for a human guidelines design review. The movie control box is not a media object, and there is no reason to expect that a vanishing control box would have properties that can be modified. It requires blind luck to find this command, and that isn't very Apple.

  • Movie and video problem

most home videos i have made from my own camera seem to work fine on itunes and my ipod but i have actual dvd movies on my computer that dont even appear on itunes when i add them from a folder...problem help!

most home videos i have made from my own camera seem to work fine on itunes and my ipod but i have actual dvd movies on my computer that dont even appear on itunes when i add them from a folder...problem help!
Most DVDs are encoded to VOBs -- video/audio files which contain MPEG-2 video data interlaced most often with AC3 audio data here in the US. Neither of these formatas are compatioble with QT/iTunes without additional components. If your files are not encrypted, simply convert them to an iPod compatible format before importation into iTunes. An application like MPEG Streamclip (free and available in both Mac and PC versions) can convert directly to iPod Baseline profile movies (320x240 @ max 768 video data rate) using the "Export to MPEG-4" option and the iPod preset. If you want iPod compatible Baseline LC files, then convert them to a QT compatible intermediate format and then import them into iTunes for final conversion to iPod compatible files.
