Try rebooting your iPad: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad should restart. Hopefully, your problem will be gone.

Firefox 'opens' but doesn't/won't open an actual browser window?

Firefox Beta 4 has crashed out on me several times, but since the most recent crash Firefox will 'open,' but doesn't actually open a new browser window. Even if I go to the menu and manually select "new window" it doesn't do so. Nor can I submit comments under the "Firefox Makes Me Happy/Sad because..." tabs. It's simply not opening new windows. When I go to the force-quit window, it doesn't show up as hanging, however. Two close outs of Firefox, and two restarts of the computer have not resolved the issue.

Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, one of your add-ons is the culprit.

Launch Contacts, then on the "Window" menu select "Zoom". That should maximise the window and give you access to the bottom-right corner where you can resize it, and the bar at the top which you can drag around.

Firefox will open but doesn't respond to any page directions. It's been removed a reintalled, data histories cleared, yet still nothing. IE works fine, so it's not a connection problem. The error consul is reporting chrome manifests as malfunctioning, but I don't know what this means. The program itself has not crashed.

Final Cut Pro X Opens But Doesn't Respond

I am running FCPX 10.0.9 on OS X Mavericks (10.9). FCPX worked without issue on my computer and it was running Mavericks. Now, out of the blue, it will open but not respond. Once the loading screen goes away, nothing happens. FCPX is not responding and there is no light under the icon in the dock. I'm not sure why this is happening. Any help is appreciated.

I don't beleve I trashed my prefferences. I did just now realise when I went to move the project that FCPX hangs on, I realised it was on an externail hard drive that was completly full. I deleted around 40 GB of data on that drive and FCPX works.

Mail Opens, But Doesn't Go Any Further

I open the Mail application. It opens, but right when it does, it keeps crashing and it always says that the "Application failed." So, I can't see any of my mail unless I use .Mac Mail online, which I don't want to do.
Can someone please help me?

Does Mail crash immediately upon start up or when it starts to download messages?
If the former, the cause could be a troublesome message that Mail tries to load every time you open it. Try launching Mail holding the Shift key down until the main window appears. This should prevent Mail from trying to select any mailboxes or load any messages upon start up.
If Mail crashes when it starts to download new mail, try the following to check whether the junk filter could have a bearing on it and post back with your observations:
1. Either tell Mail to go offline immediately after opening it, or shut down your Internet connection and open Mail afterwards.
2. Go to Preferences > Junk Mail and disable junk mail filtering.
3. Go online again.

App Store window opens, but doesn't load content; I need to update some apps

I have a iMac and running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. A few days ago, got notification from the App Store about updates; wasn't able to do them at the time. Since then, I've tried several times opening the App Store; the window opens but with no content; only the top header appears ("Featured" "Top Charts" "Cataegories" "Purchases" and "Updates") ; the "loading" icon just keeps spinning. I deleted the App Store plist and cookies, but that didn't help.

How to get FireFox to access links I select in my macmail application. Click on link and FireFox opens, but doesn't search for link.

When Safari is selected as default browser, clicking on a link found in an email (macmail) prompts Safari to open the linked page/site. But FireFox merely opens, doesn't go to the URL selected. What do I do?

Does that also happen if you disable all extensions?

Mini Bridge in CS5.5 opens but doesn't do anything

I am running CS5.5 on a MacBookPro. When I try to use Mini Bridge the little gray panel opens up but there is no "browse files" button, I can't open settings, I can't search, I can't do anything with it! Bridge works works just fine. I am including a screen shot of my MB window to show what I am seeing. I have tried everything I could think of including restarting Bridge and PS. Is there something else I need to try other than a complete reinstall of the App, which I will not do just to get MB to work.

I'm back to this discussion because I have never solved the problem. Today I uninstalled and reinstalled PS. I trashed preferences, checked to make sure Switchboard was working (it is), and have decided that my mini bridge extension is broken. Any place I can go to download a fresh copy? The window is dead. Even the settings selection doesn't bring anything up.

Entire song opens but doesn't play

Garageband crashed and when I attempted to reopen the song I was working on, I get this message as it's loading:
Audio file "Recording#05.aif" not found.
I chose 'Search' and it finds nothing.
Then I choose 'Skip' and it opens the song but all of the tracks say, 'File Not Found'.
EEEK!!

The song is only 280KB.
The tracks are all 'flat-lined, no waves or peaks. Looks like I just hit record on all the tracks and nothing recorded.
I did as you suggested by solo-ing a track and exporting it to itunes. it's still blank and silent. do i have to start all over from scratch?

Lightroom opens but doesn't show anything

Hello, I'm using Lightroom 1.3.1 on an Imac. Installed Leopard about a week ago. Seemed to be working fine. Imported photo's yesterday without any problems. Today Lightroom is opening, well at least the lighroomthings are in the bar above, but nothing happens. It doesnt show anything still staring at my leopard stars..I can do nothing!
Already looked for updates. Started the I mac with shift. Didn't work out. I have Symantec, but didn't seem to be a problem before...help?

Try this: Go to your folder where the .lrcat lives, inside your Pictures folder. Look inside for a file that ends in .lock, with Lightroom shut down. Delete it. Then double click on the .lrcat file ; if it isn't there, double click on it anyway. If still no joy, look for other .lrcat files.

Has it ever worked? If so, when did this start?
Hold the Shift key down, while you click on the Mail Icon to launch Mail. This will stop Mail from trying to open any certain mailbox, and if the last one you were viewing has a problem, may let us get to the point of a solution.
More info, please, including whether you have a POP, IMAP or .mac account?

My iPhoto opens, but doesn't detect or sync any of my iPod camera roll when I connect it to my laptop. How do i fix this?

So my friend lent me her apple cable to connect to my laptop since my one stopeed working a few weeks ago, and as I tried to sync my iPod touch camera roll to my iPhoto, iPhoto devices came up with "Apple Device" instead of my devices name. And as I clicked it, none of the photos of my camera roll appeared and I wasn't able to sync my photos.
I've tried to update the software on my macbook and restarted it as directed to, but none of the software updates actually worked or changed so I'm not sure why. Also I can't update my iPod software because I need to delete my photos off (after syncing them to iPhoto) in order to have enough space on my iPod for the update. Not to mention, to be able to update my iPod software, I need to update my iTunes software, which isn't working.
Please help! My technical knowledge is very lacking and I have little patience as of now ugh!
