I am unable to re-install Flash pro CS4 after my PC crashed.

The Setup program insist that one component or more were not installed properly. Adobe does not provide support for CS4, even for  reinstallation issues and left me stranded with fully paid, unfuctional Flash pro CS4 version. Any bright ideas how to install? I have tried to download and set it up several times.
Thanks
Joseph Karov

  • Unable to use installed Flash Builder 4 after having uninstalled Trial

I have been using the Flash Builder 4 trial for a while now, and have since purchased a version of the software to use on my project.  However, despite having uninstalled the trial version and run the recommended registry cleaning scripts, whenever I install the purchased version of Flash Builder 4 and try to use it, I see the splash screen for the trial version coming up.
It has an option to enter a serial number, six sets of four digits each, but the serial number on the back of the my Flash Builder 4 disc case is only eight digits long total, and doesn't fit that space.  Even then, I would not expect to see the splash screen, which explicitly mentions the trial, coming up after having uninstalled the trial.
If in uninstall the paid version, running eclipse does not cause the splash screen to appear.  However, as soon as I do install it, and try to run with it, the trial version spalsh screen appears again.
I had asked for help preivously, case number: #0203692609
But the registry cleaning programs I was recommended there have not stopped the issue.

    Hi Richard,
I think the serial number keys are always 24-digits long, so the 8-digit number you found must be something else. If you look around at the rest of your product packaging, you should be able to locate the 24-digit number you can use.
    More info here:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/828/cpsid_82828.html
The Trial mode you're seeing is expected until after you activate the product with your SN.

  • Error installing Flash Pro CS6

I'm trying to install Flash Pro CS6 but I keep getting the following error (the message is in portuguese) after running the .exe file (downloaded directly from Adobe's oficial website).
I've tried it in 3 different computers with Windows 8 and in one computer with Windows 7 and all of them give me the same error. I'm using an Admin account so that's not the problem!

The problem is happening when I try to extract the downloaded files from the .exe to another folder. The application has all the permissions available
Here is another picture of the initial screen when I double click the .exe file.
I've tried to extract it to other folders, like "Documents", "Downloads", but It gives me the same error as before.

  • Can't launch or reinstall Flash Pro CS5 after Flash Pro CC installation

I'm on a newly installed hard drive with a fresh install of Mac OS X 10.7.5. I installed Flash Pro CS5 and it opened fine. Then I installed Flash Pro CC and now I cannot open the CS5 version. It says there is a configuration error and I need to uninstall and reinstall the application. So I tried reinstalling and I get a message that I must either cancel the installation or eject the disk image. I have tried all the workarounds suggested for bypassing Mac OS Gatekeeper and still no luck. An Adobe rep from another forum suggested I post this issue here to see if anyone has any suggestions. Here is what I have tried so far:
Control-click on the installer and choose open to run it.
Disabled Gatekeeper in Security and Privacy settings of System Preferences.
    Disabled Gatekeeper manually in Terminal.
Tried to uninstall the original installation of Flash CS5, but it says the uninstaller file can't be found.
Ran the Adobe Cleaner tool to remove CS5 applications.
Ran the spctl -a command on the installer and it said CSSMERR_TP_CERT_REVOKED. Assuming this means the certificate has been revoked?
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Bernst did you also run the uninstaller located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder?  This is meant to be ran prior to utilizing the CC Cleaner Tool.  You can find more details at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
Also what specific configuration error are you receiving?

  • Need help! Installation Failed of Flash Pro CS4

Sorry for my bad Eglish first.
I downloaded a trial version of Flash Pro CS4 on the Adobe official website and installed it in my Win 7 (x64) using the user account (as an Administrator).
It seems that every step of the installation is fine, except end up with the "installation failed" dialog window as the following snapshot.
(Sorry for the Chinese messages in the snapshot, it says "Installation Failed" and "One or more required components of Adobe FlashPro CS4 failed to install correctly")
I clicked the button on the bottom left for further detailed information, and it showed:

    Thank you

If the video is playing back badly in Premiere Pro from the timeline, then the things I would check would be the program monitor quality - is it set to highest...if you don't know where that it is, click on the 4 horizontal lines in the top corner of the program monitor - make sure highest quality is selected. It also may be a video card issue - are your drivers up to date? If the clips are only playing back badly on the PPro timeline (and anything exported from it), but fine in Windows Media Player - something is up.
As for the frame rate - no, you don't have to work at 24P...as mentioned before, the camera actually records at 29.97 fps, but is able to be played back and edited at 23.976 fps (or 24P)...it's a complicated explanation on how it all works...
If you're going to finish to a regular DVD, then working at 29.97 is the way to go. As for the interpret footage command, highlight the clips in your bin, then right click on them - in the menu, you'll see interpret footage - click on that and a new window should open...you should see a box with a check next to it that says remove 24P pulldown - click it (removing the check) and the footage frame rate should change to 29.97 - then click OK...create a 29.97 sequence (DV NTSC Widescreen 48Khz), and edit away.

  • Error installing Premiere Pro CS4 - "The Installer Database is corrupt. Please contact Adobe Customer Service"

I had to replace my hard drive and so I had to re-install Premiere Pro CS4. I tried to do that with the files I had downloaded before, but the install failed and gave me the error message "The Installer Database is corrupt. Please contact Adobe Customer Service".
I assumed that the files I downloaded had become corrupt, so I logged on and re-downloaded the ADBEPPROCS4_LS7.7z and ADBEPPROCS4_LS7.exe files. I ran ADBEPPROCS4_LS7.exe and it also failed and gave me the same error message. I tried another download from a different page and got the same error again.
Can anyone suggest what I can do to get my program installed?

  • Problems with my Flash Pro CS4... + Mac Snow Leopard

    Hello !
Since last week I cannot use my Adobe Flash Pro CS4, when I open the application it loads but I cannot see anything, not the timeline, not the scene, library... anything at all.
I have reinstalled the app but still does not work. I have followed different steps, removing fonts and things like that, but the problem still there. It is disturbing as I develop websites.
Can anyone give me some possible solutions.
    Thanks,
    Milo

Thanks but your Mac is luckier than mine. I tried and failed.
Just gives me a white square but not the workspace or timeline nor anything to work.
    Thanks for trying to help.

  • Re installing Pr Pro CS4

    Hi,
First I installed the trial of Pr Elements,  then I uninstalled it and installed Pr Pro CS4.  I don't know what happened but the Adobe Main Concept direct show filters/codecs that were installed by Elements were deleted (ok) , but remained registered (not ok).
Additionally the Main Concept codecs that are installed by Pro did not work either... so I ended up with a mess in the codecs registry.
I manually cleaned up / removed all the Main Concept codecs (both Elements and Pro).  So now I have Pr Pro CS4 installed but without the codecs that it is supposed to install.
So the question:  Is it safe to just re-insall CS4 over the previous installation  (like a "fix" kind of install)  so that it will install and register all the codecs again?
Or do you think that its best to uninstall first, then install again ... any experiences on this?  I ask because I read somplace here that the uninstall does not really work ok, and that you have to run a Clean script and Im not sure what else.
Since in this case I would be installing the vert same program on top of the previous install, I guess its Ok.  But better safe than sorry.
    Thanks!!!
    Gonza

I have not heard of the need for the Adobe Clean Script CSx for the PrE trial, but might have missed that.
The Adobe Clean Script is used for the various PrPro trials, and is version specific.
Now, there was an issue with having PrPro CS3 installed, then installing CS4, and later uninstalling CS3. That took some necessary CS4 files with it, and a Repair Install was needed.
Only thing that I can recall with PrE and PrPro was that if one had Production Studio CS2 (PrPro version 2.0) installed, and then later installed PrE 4, everything in the CS2 suite would be broken, PrPro, PS, AI, Bridge, everything. The cure was to do a Repair Install for everything in CS2 Production Studio.
As those situations do not seem to apply in your case, I think that they can be chalked up to just "history."
    Good luck,
    Hunt
