(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Updateentries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

Need help installing PS CS4 on new Windows 7 laptop

The laptop I had crashed and I bought a new one. Windows 7. Trying to reinstall Photoshop CS4 onto it, but getting error message, "The installer database is corrupt. Contact customer support."
I contacted customer support and was told they no longer offer phone support for CS4 and I'd need to get help in the forum.
Can anyone help me get through this?
Also, I know I'm going to have another issue, because this is an upgrade version and when I first installed it, I had to contact customer support because I was upgrading from an educational version. So would also need help with that.
Please help me with this. Hate to have to just throw out a $500 program.

HT204347 Unable to Re-install mountain Lion after erasing with disk utility! help

I bought my new Macbook pro retina disply 13 inch last friday. played with it some time and try to restore using a time machine back up of my old Mac Air. It worked well but I didn't like it so I restarted and pressed Command + R to bring the restore utility and from there I used the Disk utility to erase my Disk and then after connecting to net I clicked reinstall Lion. First my machine was verified by Apple, then I entered my apple ID, then the mountain lion licence agreement came and i clicked agree and it started installing. Immediatley below the installation bar it showed 50 hrs remaining to finish installation. it was odd because I used to finish it within 2 hrs. Moreover the time appeared to increase from 50 to 51 and more. I waited all day without any use. it looked as if the disk has some write protection, the software is trying to install but unable to write.
What can i do now? I am now without a OS in my mac.

Unable to re-install Snow Leopard after upgrading to Mavericks

I upgraded to Mavericks before realizing that my USB microphone interface would no longer work with Mavericks due to the manufacturer not updating drivers... So I need to revert back to Snow Leopard. I don't have a time machine backup from snow leopard, so I erased my hard drive and attempted to re-install snow leopard from the installation CD's. But it won't work! It says that I cannot install Snow Leopard on my machine, only restore from a time machine backup.
I suspect mavericks messed with my firmware or something... How can I get the computer back to the way it was when I first bought it? It seems like you should always be able to revert to the OS that shipped with the machine, but this is proving very frustrating!

Unable to re-install Windows 7 after changing to Raid 5 array

I have a 790FX-GD70 MoBo with a AMD PhenomII Deneb 965 Black CPU, 8gb G.skills DD3 1600 in 4x2gb array. I originally loaded Windows 7 witn a 1.5TB Seagate Barracuda HD without any problems. Everything worked fine,Duh. Then I decided to get more speed and stabilty for processing, I wanted to go to a Raid 5 or 10 array. I added 3 more Segate Barracuda HD 1.5T ST31500341AS to the original (same type drive). I copied all of the drivers from the MSI website onto a USB 4gb drive and downloaded all of the info in Appendix C. I assigned all for drives to the array with the intent to reload the Windows 7 OS after. The "problem" is that I can get all of the way in the Windows installation until the Re-boot and I get the message "The Installation was Canceled" and then a further message stating " Windows could not prepare the computer to Boot into the next phase of the installation. To install windows, restart the installation". Of course I have tried to reinstall and continue to get the same message. Can anyone suggest a fix? By the way it seems to think my portable drive is the C: drive? I would really appreciate any help!

Can't install Snow Leopard after complete format

I've got a new Macbook Pro 15 (bought in August). Problems with the Bootcamp partition led to the machine not starting up at all.
Unfortunately, I didn't have a Mac OS X DVD, so in desperate need of the computer I installed Ubuntu. I have since bought the Snow Leopard DVD, but now when I try to install it, I just get a grey screen with the Apple logo in the middle.
I've been through the instructions - holding Cmd + Opt + P + R, and doing Cmd + Shift + V. When I boot with the latter, I see that it freezes on loading Extensions.mkext.
Fortunately, everything is backed up with a combination of Time Machine and Dropbox, but I can only use my Macbook with Linux.
Any ideas would be very gratefully received

Hmm, my conclusion is different than that of rkaufmann87.
You bought a retail disc, which should be 10.6. Your machine, if it was purchased in August and is a Mid 2010 model, likely shipped with at least 10.6.3. Unfortunately, that means the retail disc is not the correct build to boot your machine, since your machine is newer than the disc.
If you do not have your original system discs, you can call AppleCare (1-800-APL-CARE) to have new discs shipped to you, I believe it is $15 a disc. You can also head into an Apple Retail Store if one's near (make an appointment first at http://apple.com/retail) and have them help you at the Genius Bar, or use this site to locate your nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider: http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/service/ (note: AASPs may charge for their time for software repairs not covered under the Apple Limited Warranty or AppleCare).

You need the details of that email account and then you will be able

TRYING to install Oracle Forms 6i w/ PO8i... please advise

Hi, I currently have Personal Oracle 8i installed on an HP Pavilion Win98. I have taken a class called Personal Oracle and have bought a few books and have been learning SQL, SQL Plus, and trying PL/SQL. However, I also want to learn some development skills and have tried to install Oracle Forms 6i (the version I have is for 95/98/NT, so at least I know I have the correct platform compatability). When I try to install Forms I'm getting 'missing file' errors that prevent the installation. Does the Oracle Home 'Name' and 'Location' have to be the same as the Personal Oracle installation, do they need to be different? Everything I'm doing for now will be done entirely on this machine, so location of data is not an issue. These are the files missing when I try to install:
jre11.map
rsf73.map
cdesql60.map
I had the 'cdesql60.map' missing file error first. Then I did a couple of other things (don't know what the heck I did) and then I get the 'rsf73.map' error, then the 'jre11.map' error. I tried using the universal installer but there seems to be no 'products.jar' file on the Forms 6i disc.
Can anyone please help me figure out how to get this Forms disc installed?!
