I am unable to see my purchased books or preordered books in the iBookstore

iBookstore. Can anyone help? They have had me take my phone and iPad back to factory settings, delete iBooks, and sign in and out of my account and nothing has worked and still the purchase tab shows no purchased or preorders. Any help appreciated

I am unable to download my purchased book to my ipad. Can you please advise?

I have been asking this same question for two weeks now...ever since I upgraded to iOS 5. I have backed up, synced, deleted iBook app then reinstalled, restarted iPad, reinstalled newest version of iTunes with and without firewall on my PC...all of this several times. ALL other apps work fine, but iBooks will not download from iCloud
No one has replied here, and apple support has sent me links to pages describing how to do all these things I've already done!
I still have NO access to any of my iBooks orbPDFs (75+). I hope someone can help us. This is extremely frustrating. Ive had to repurchase ebooks from other vendors so I can complete my university assignments.

No problem, Peter. iBooks Author makes a lot of things much easier than trying to grapple with a standard epub, but it also has some big limitations, like iPad only, and ibookstore only.
EDIT It's not really suitable for something like a novel, for example, although it's great when you need lots of illustrations and movies and such.

Can't see a purchased book on multiple devices.

I purchased a book on my iPhone and am unable to see it on on my iPad without purchasing it again. How do I get an already purchased book from iPhone to iPad? I have looked in the FAQ and the book is not seen on my iPad but I can find and buy it if I want. I want it but don't think I should have to spend $8 twice for two devices.

Make sure you are logged in with the same Apple ID on both devices. You're the 2nd person reporting this in the last 2 days. Perhaps it's a hiccup with the iTunes store. You could transfer purchases to iTunes on your computer and sync the book over to the other device.

Can no longer see my purchased books in Adobe Digital Edition software

Because my purchased books are no longer listed on my Adobe Digital Edition software, they can no longer be downloaded into my E-Reader (due to Rights protection). I do not understand why they disappeared from the Purchased list. I would like Adobe to Re-install into my purchased list all my purchased books. Would like some help with that.

Not exactly sure how much you have updated, so some of these comments may not be to the point ....
Copying to the Sony should have worked as long as it is still registered with the ID used when you bought the books.
Maybe the Sony lost its registration when you did Sony updates, and you need to reregister it?
Nothing will work with a different ID; you can change the email address assocated with the old ID,
but can't read books with a device registered with a different ID or transer them to a new ID.
Probably when you updated your software ADE lost its repository.
Adobe does not remember your books in any 'cloud' associated with your ID,
the ID is just used to unlock the files you still have that are associated with the ID.
Try opening the books on the USB on ADE (ctrl-O, menu/File/Add to Library).
They should then appear again in the ADE library and you should be able to copy to the Sony (assuming registrations all correct).
Or, if you want the books always available on the computer even without the USB,
copy from USB to computer, then use ADE to open the copies on the computer.
If ADE won't read the books either it is probably not correctly registered (with the original ID).
One possibility is that ADE got confused about registration when you reinstalled (it often does).

Also, there is a bug in ADE2.0/2.0.1 that means they Sony devices won't work with library books on that ADE release.
If you want to use library books, use the older more reliable version of ADE.

Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help.
Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.
A common incorrect message informs you that the ID is already in use on another computer and cannot be reused.
This can often be resolved by completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to the Library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your (old) Adobe ID.
In extreme cases on the mac, the following extra step has helped some people. Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash. There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0 (and 2.0.1). Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

Unable to see any purchases in Family Sharing

I know iOS8 is completely new, but has anybody messed with Family Sharing yet? I set it up, and invited my husband. We both have "share purchases" turned on, the credit card is set up fine. On my iPad, if I go to the Purchased link in the App Store, it says "to start sharing purchases, finish setting up family sharing in iCloud" where iCloud is linked. I click on that, it brings me back to the Family Sharing preferences, and it's completely unclear what else isn't set up. I read through the few Apple FAQs on this specifically Sharing purchased content with Family Sharing and If you don't see your family's shared content and neither helps. I looked through iBooks and Music as well, and still don't see his purchases anywhere (there's no link or anything to his purchases like there's supposed to be).

i had the same problem but have FIXED IT!
Once you have set it up you then have to go back into setting and iCloud on all family devices and click on your name, it will prompt you to enter your Apple ID password. Once you do that on all devices, it then works fine. When you go into the iTunes store, App Store or iBooks, you will see in the Purchased section your family members. Apple could have explained this better. They finally explained it at this link: If you don't see your family's shared content

I have been trying to delete the "purchased books" section of I Books. I inherited this I pad and would like to clear this section as there are questionable books. I would like to delete them but don't know how. I have already removed them from showing up in my library but would like to start fresh in "stores". You can't permanently delete any items from an account's purchase history, all you can do is hide items : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
If you log out of the existing account on the iPad (tap on the id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app) and then log in with your account then none of the previous owner's purchases should show.

How to I add other territories to my book in the iBookstore?

I have published my book to the US iBookstore successfully. What steps do I take to make the book available in other territories? Do I need to re-publish via iTunes producer or is there another way?
The book is in English but I think it would be popular in a number of geographic loactions. Can any recommend what countries/regions/territories have been good or bad your your books?

If you can talk about your book itself, such as category, age group, languages used, etc. perhaps someone can share.
I'd suggest that one of the beautiful points of the store is you can hit as many as possible with little effort, making it a time-waster to pick/choose otherwise

Unable to open newly purchased book

Someone please help. I just bought an e-book, downloaded ADE to my laptop (w/windows) and went to put the book in my ADE library, but I'm getting the following error message:
"Connection Error Detected. Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet."
There is nothing wrong with my internet connection.
How can I resolve this?

OK. So I finally chatted with the help desk...
They asked me to remove and re-install the software (that's a classic one).
Then they asked me to download a couple of e-books from http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/eBook.html and to open them.
As both steps above worked, they told me I had a problem with the .acsm file so they could not help further...
But re-downloading and opening it directly from the online shop where I bought the ebook worked... Finally...

Why am I unable to upload an iPhoto book to the store?

I have created an iPhoto book and have been unable to get it to upload to the store. It assembles fine but an error message appears once it starts to upload.
I am working on a 27" iMac with a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 12 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, Lion 10.7.4.
I have taken the following steps to try correcting the problem. Verify Disk, Repair perrmissions and the entire sequence in iPhoto Library Repair.
This is the first book to give me a problem.

I am telling you, I know this from experience. Unless you have made the photo book with one of the fonts in the /System/Library/Fonts folder ( which are the only ones that Safe Mode does not disable ), the font on the book will change. The fonts are the likes of Helvetica and such, so that is not likely.

Like you said, of course you always preview before purchasing. That's what I did, and the pdf looked exactly right. But the books I received had the wrong font, which I could maybe otherwise live with, but the changed font also meant that the texts were cut off in the middle on some pages. So the books are unusable.
Of course this begs the question, since the pdf looked right, is it possible that the problem wasn't caused by Safe Mode but was a simple production error on Apple's end?
This does not make sense, since Apple Support clearly states that Safe Mode disables fonts.

IBook 3.1 doesn't show previously purchased books in the store

Quite annoying,as when browsing for a new book, i cannot see which ones i have bought before.
They are listed in 'purchased', though. And if by mistake i try to buy again one i already have, it shows indeed that the book already has been purchased.
So why doesn'tit appear in the Store resultsany longer?

i think that's not the answer, because the current/right OS version should even show, if you simply use the scanner function.
i tried your suggestion - just to be sure - and ARD just updates (as it should) it's report, but fails to update any shown "Mac OS Version" - column. so our problem isn't fixed, at least here.
