i am unable to send any messages on iMessage. I have never used it before so maybe I haven't set it up properly? When I choose a person to send a message to its fine, but when I type the message, the send button is grey and my message won't send.
My iPod is a 5th gen, 32 GB, iOS 8.1.2
Please help me get it working.

    Hi,
I was trying to send message but in the mean while it messge was unable to send any message due to its storage capacity.
Showing error like Unable to Send any message due to its Storage message capacity.

    Hi James,
If the setting Show Offline buddies is active in the View menu you will see all Buddies you have.
If you mean the Video and Audio icons they mean that those buddies are busy chatting.
The other matter may be your Quicktime setting.
Go to System Preferneces > Quicktime > streaming tab abd set the speed in the drop down to match your download upto a max of 1.5meg.

  • Error Message - Unable to send text message!

Hi, hope someone can help me with this.
I have started getting this error when i send a text from PC Suite via my 7610. The text sends properly and this error shows up.
    Setup:
Windows XP Pro - Service Pack 2
    PC Suite Version - 6.70.22
    Bluetooth connection.
Started out of the blue with no warning.
I have tried removing the battery from the phone and putting it back in. I uninstalled and reinstalled the suite.
    Any help Appreciated.

i had the same problem. sending an sms with the pc suite produces the unable to send text message error. i tried removing SMSsync, PC support form the phone as described in the forum. None of this helped for me.
eventually uninstalled pc suite from the pc. then ran the pc suite cleaner, it can be found here:

reinstalled the pc suite and that solved the problems

  • Unable to send texts messages containing the letter é anywhere in the text

I am unable to send ANY text that contains the character é as in Pokémon since January on my Droid Razr... prior to January it sent just fine, but the message just hangs in the 'sending' and NEVER gets sent!!! the recipient NEVER receives the text and it NEVER goes into failed status!!!! just hanging in 'sending' mode!!!! only does this on Verizon Wireless phone... so frustrating as my nerd friends like it and I prefer to type Pokémon rather than Pokemon!!!

What happens when you try to send a message? If you get an error message,
what is the exact complete wording of that message?
Are you using iMessage or a 3rd party app?
Is your account properly provisioned for messaging if using other than iMessage?

I'm extremly glad to report that RIM has finally resolved  the ongoing "protocol layer" failure to send email from certain types of accounts.
A while back they post this not working solution:
KB33736 "Protocol layer was unable to send a message" when replying to an email on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone
Resolution: Upgrade to BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.1.0.1465 or higher. Contact the wireless provider to confirm availability.
    10.1.0.1465 or higher FAIL
    But 10.2 WORKS - Woohoo

  • TS5185 Hi After I have report a junk message I coudl not get Imessge from other iphone. and could not send any message in blue color but green which need to pay for.

Hi After I have report a junk message to 7726, I coudl not get Imessge from other iphones. and could not send any message in blue color but green which need to pay for. Does Apple blocked my imessage ? I have checked the setting. imessage is on.
    Thanks,
    J

Make sure that your date and time settings and time zone are accurate (Settings - General - Date and Time). Reset your phone to 'Set Automatically' and then try signing in again - this worked for me.  My date/time settings were not automatic (candy crush cheats!!).

  • Why can't I send any messages?

Hi I have an iPhone 4S using iOS 8.2. The problem is that I can't send any messages at all. First off, I tried turning the iMessage feature off and then on again but now it's stuck. I can't turn it on again. Secondly any texts I send out will just give me the notification that it failed to send. Does anyone know what to do?
    Things I've tried:
    Shutting off and turning on
    Restarting
    Resetting Network Settings
    Resetting All Settings
Turning off iMessage to turn it back on (Now it's stuck off.)
    Syncing with iTunes
And I'm in the process of restoring the iPhone using iTunes
    Things to note:
Everything on my phone works fine. But I notice whenever I open up my Message app it'll take a really long time. Usually when it does work, all my messages are gone. Other times I can see my messages. But whenever I click on it, it'll lag tremendously. Once it responds I can still only see the last message that was sent between the other person and I.
A similar thing happens in Settings. Whenever I try accessing Settings > Messages it'll lag a lot before eventually letting me in.
EVERYTHING else works perfectly though, it's only anything that involves messages/face time that will give me problems.
    Thanks in advance!

    Follow these steps:
    1. Turn off iMessage
    2. Turn off Facetime
    3. Go to General, Reset, Reset Network Settings
    4. Go to Settings, go to wifi and enter your network password
    5. Go back to iMessage and turn it on
    6. Go to FT and turn it on
    This should work for you.

    Hi chelsinator,
You can reset the phone and it won't cause any problems or cause you to lose any data - Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears.
The other thing you should do is to reset your network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to set up your Wifi again, but that oftentimes clears things up.
    Cheers,
