I am unable to sign into facetime on my iPad, iPhone how do i reset the password which always indicates error

i want to reset my facetime password as i always receive a prompt which reads incorrect password, i cant remember ever selecting on, can anyone help please

If you are getting the message to Contact Support there is no other option.
When Mountain Lion first came out and you got this message it did appear to get sorted for free.
Start here

Click the Contact Support at the bottom of the menu
In the next page use the right hand Pane and the iTunes Store link.
after that generally follow "Manage Account" type links.
The process is "trying to answer questions"  but you will eventually be offered an email Link.
Use that and explain the issue.
Generally the issue tends to be something specific about your account that only Apple Support can change.

    As the title says, I am currently unable to sign into Facetime from my MacBook Pro, Mac OS x 10.6.8. This has been the case for three weeks. I have not "upgraded" to Mavericks and I have not changed any settings. I have rebooted the computer several times and checked the time zone settings (having the computer in a different time zone than the settings is apparently an issue). Everything appears to be in order. I am able to sign in to the Apple Store and this forum and my iPod 4G connects just fine with the same Apple ID and password. Any ideas?

    I have been able with your lead to find the password I need , and to have install happen
    however - when I then go to the website to download the Pdf document I need I get a screen with the big red adobe icon that says to complete and down load this document I must launch adobe reader a dn sign the terms of agreement , close browser and reopen.
    but thatscren has no choice buttons whatsoever, I cannot find anywhere a adobe reader image to launch - been into launch pad , preferences etc.
    so now the loop is the pdf document and the adobe screen saying I must do terms of agreement
    like is this Kafka like or what ...

    All you need to do is input your wifi password. If you cant remember it, try looking on the router. It might say somthing like WEP key, or WPA key.

    I have an iMac running Mac OS X 10.6.8, a verified Apple ID and the latest version of FaceTime.  When I try to sign in the computer 'thinks' for a while then gives me an error message to check my internet connection.  The connection is fine as I can access the internet from the computer.  I am able to use the Apple ID to run FaceTime on my iPad.  I have tried my husband's ID and it does the same thing.  Ideas? I am a relatively new Mac user. Thanks!

    I called AppleCare yesterday to find out if my Logs had been analyzed and if they had an answer for my FaceTime issue. They did indeed have the answer. It was a "serialization problem". The original logic board in my Mac Pro 1,1 needed to be replaced, right after I purchased it, and the ASP didn't "serialize" the new board. The AppleCare rep told me to take it in to any Apple Store and they will serialize the board or replace it if necessary!!! And they refunded my $19.00 for Single-Incident support since it was due to an oversight by the original ASP! AWESOME!!!!!!!!
    I shot over to my local Apple Store and within 5 minutes (FIVE MINUTES!) FaceTime was working!

    The steps detailed below can help resolve this error and get your signed into iMessage.
    If you see "Could not sign in, please check your network connection and try again" when signing in to your Apple ID
    To resolve this issue, follow these steps.
    Update to the latest version of iOS.
    Verify that you have a data connection by going to www.apple.com in Safari. You can complete Apple ID activation using Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection. If you need help connecting to Wi-Fi, follow these steps.
    If you're using Wi-Fi, make sure that your local Wi-Fi network is using the recommended Wi-Fi settings.
    Sign in to your account and ensure that the primary email address and alternate e-mail addresses have been verified. If verification is pending, follow the instructions in the email Apple sent to that email address to complete verification. Or remove the e-mail addresses from the account.
    If your Apple ID isn't an email address, you can change it. The Apple ID that you're using to activate FaceTime or iMessage must be an email address. Find more information on how to change your Apple ID.
    Tap Settings > General > Date & Time. Make sure that your iPhone is set to the correct time zone. If Set Automatically is on but the wrong time zone appears, turn Set Automatically off and choose the correct time zone, date, and time.
    Enable iMessage and FaceTime while connected to a different Wi-Fi network (in a different location) if a cellular data connection is not available.

    Are you sure it's your ID?  Activation lock will require the ID and password that was originally used to activate the phone in order to reactivate.  If the phone had a previous owner, it's their ID and password that is required, not yours.

    OK, I called Apple Support (since the iPad is brand new) and got a rep to fix the problem.  He manually sent a verification email, which I received, and I was able to complete the process and get Facetime working.  For some reason, the Apple ID and password (as far as the iPad was concerned) needed verification.  Don't know why, but am glad it is now working!

    there has been a big problem with facetime and imessage. The best solution for this case is to restore your device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
    Make sure you back it up. and I would set up facetime before you reinstall your backup and  make sure its working.

    I would suggest to restore Apple TV again to factory settings.
