I can not text one person but able to text others

Don't know if that person had an iPhone but now uses some other smartphone. That can be a problem if they didn't deregister, becuase your iPhone may think they are an iMessgae contact.

I am not able to text one specific person on my iphone 4. They an sporadically send but she is not recieving my message. I have read several forums and tried several things.. resetting etc... to no avail.. someone mentioned this may be the network. can anyone help? the phone also say it is ready to install update to ios 7.0.6 which provides a fix for ssl connection verification. then it indicates cannot be installd bcause it requires at least 3.7 GB of storage. So i have deleted some things and pretty sure I have enough GB but still reading the same message. OMGosh .. so frustrated.. especially wtih the texting.

Can the person Message you? If yes can you reply?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>Messages>Send and Receive and sign ut and sign back in
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

That would not be an OS X or iMac issue if the problem is only with one other person. That points the finger at an Internet connection issue that must be solved by an ISP, my guess is the other person has a slow or problem Internet connection that needs troubleshooting.

Becomes really slow, almost freezes when i text a certain person!

I just joined. I've had my blackberry 8330 for about 5 months now and there has only been one small, but very annoying problem with it.
Whenever I text this one person (who also has verizon), or receive a text from them, my blackberry takes almost 3 minutes to "send" the message to them. The message gets sent but my screen stays stuck on the reply message screen. eventually it goes back to the main desktop, but by the time it does that, i have alreadhy received the person's text and the whole slow process starts again!

I had this exact problem on my phone except it only happened when i would receive a message from this particular person or reply to a message from this person. What I did to fix the problem is go to my address book, select the person, then click SMS this person. For some reason, sending the person a message by going through the address book instead of replying to a previous message fixed the problem completely for me. It still messes up once a month or so but is immediately resolved by this method every time. Let me know if this fixes the problem.

I can't call or text a certain person and he can't call or text me

We both are Verizon customers and both of us have the iPhone 4s. We were able to call and text each other for 3 weeks with no issues and then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, we stopped receiving each others calls and texts and even voice mails. It has caused so much anger and confusion between us. He thought I was ignoring him and I thought he was ignoring me. Then out of nowhere one random night last week, he decided to call me cause he was upset having not heard from me in 2 weeks and his call came through to me. That's when we discovered there are some communication issues going on. We were then able to text each other for one full day before our phones yet again have stopped working together. Why is this happening? We do not have each other blocked. We both have unlimited call and text plans. I tried resetting my phone and updating my roaming capabilities. Nothing is working. I deleted him as a contact and tried to send him a message by entering just his number and still nothing. He is not linked with a Facebook account so I know that is not the issue. I have no issues with any of my other contacts. I don't get it. How can this be fixed? I have spent hours online looking for an answer but have had no luck. I called Verizon and they were of no help. They just had me go through all the things I have already tried. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm losing my mind here!

The same thing is happening to me. Yesterday it started, and I had no way of knowing what was going on until I connected with my girlfriend on Facebook to figure out that we had been texting each other for two days and none of the texts were going through. She is on a Sprint Galaxy S phone and I'm on a Verizon iPhone 4. Texts I send to her do not arrive. Texts she sends to me do not arrive. But she can exchange texts in both directions with other people, and so can I. Only between our two phones, texts are not being delivered. How can we fix this?

Why does "message to _________ deleted" come up every time I try to text a certain person?

Why is the only thing I recieve when I send a text to my friend "Message to _______ deleted"? I don't understand why it's doing that?

It may be that your messages are set to automatically delete the messages after they are sent. Go into message then under settings look to see if it says auto delete and change the program.

I have an iPhone 3
I can text all my contacts apart from my partner who has a Samsung Galaxy mini
Texts stopped from me to him in December.My number is not blocked on his phone and if i put my simm in another phone I can text him.
I receive his texts ok
I have turned off my imessaging

What happens when you send? Does it fail?
Do you get an error?
There are a couple things we can try.
First, quit all apps (Double tap the Home button and swipe the app preview page up for eack open app) and then Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears (no data will be lost)
You can also try deleting any old conversations with him
Try deleting him from your contacts and manually re-add him

Hello, I am new to the apple community and didn't know where to post this. However this question is regarding my iPhone 4S which i recently purchased. Basically me and a specific friend (which has asked for any of her details to not be given out) are having problems iMessaging (She has iPhone 4 whic she purchased a day before me. We have no problem iMessaging anyone else with an iPhone however to each other it does not work. On her phone the bubbles are still green despite the fact that we both have wifi on and iMessage on yet on mine it will be blue and say delivered but she doesnt recieve anything? However what I have noticed is that on her phone she has no other options such as the 'Send Read Receipts', 'Sent as SMS' or the 'Receive at' which from what ive tested with on my other iPhone friends do have so at first i thought that would be the problem but it can't be because like I said she has no difficulty messaging anyone else with an iPhone. (Same with FaceTime which i figured wouldnt work because they work the same way..I think?) I've tried everything and somehow it still doesnt work? Someone please help as its really starting to bug me because it keeps making me think that there is a fault in my phone. Thanks Kind Regards.

Hi randers4, thankyou for your reply but thing is she does have it on because she iMessages a friend daily and it works for them and same with me just not each other. When I have it on also it will say its delivered but she will not receive anything but her SMS still come through. If i didnt have wifi on it would fall back on SMS but seen as i do it says delivered yet she still doesnt receive it. And we have both updated to iOS 5.1. So we can't figure out who the one with the problem is. She says it is mine however I have a feeling it is hers but I don't know hence why I came here. Thanks Kind Regards.

Hello I have an iphone 4 with iOS5
everytime i text my friends with iOS5 it will go through as iMessage but when i text my cousin it won't go through as iMessage, it used to but now it doesnt. I checked with him and he can iMessage all my friends but when he texts me it won't go through as iMessage. I tried everything from deleting him and adding him to the iphone number in my contacts to restarting the network settings to checking wifi to even complete restoring the phone. it just wont work....
PLEASE HELP its so annoying. and yes its only with him it does not work. i made him do the same things i did to my phone and we still have this problem

I have this same problem with several of my contacts (they have iphones as well). With most people my text/imessage/SMS/MMS works fine, but with a select few we can't communicate other than a phone call. I can't find any setting that makes these folks any different from the rest of my contacts.

However if they send me a text I am able to reply?

It takes two to tango, maybe it's your recipient that has weak Internet/Cellular connections.

Can only text one person at a time??

I can't believe Apple designed the iPhone so you can only text one person at a time. Major blunder on their part. I really hope they correct this with a software update very soon........
