I am unable to transfer audio files to itunes, they're mp3. I've tried dragging them in and selecting to add a file to the library but nothing happens. Also I managed to get one song into the library, but cannot put it onto my iphone. Please help!

I Have the latest iOS installment I believe. I don't know what is causing the problem as it was working perfectly last night! When I type in an incorrect password, the laptop recognizes that it is incorrect and denies me access. But when I type in the correct password nothing happens. Getting a Song into the Right Key?
I'm trying to use GarageBand as an accompanying "band" for improvisation practice for myself and my students. I can't seem to figure out how to get a tune using only GB loops into the exact key I want. For example, I set the song to E major (and that shows as the master track), and put together some loops for a really nice track, but realized that it ended up being in G major (E natural minor).
Any way to make sure any loops only are in that exact key, or to get them to transpose to that key? I'm sure I'm missing something simple.The simple solution, but it may not sound to good, is to simply to change the region pitch parameter, located in the editors, until you hit the correct key.
HOWEVER, for audio loops, this ain't a gonna sound too good. My experience is that the loop engine sounds much better at transposition than simple rate conversion in the editor, assuming the use different technologies (the loop engine, same as in SoundTrack or Logic, being the one that transposes everything to the project key).
You could get really tricky: copy all the loops you want to a new folder. Download and launch the Apple Loop Utility. Calculate what keys you need for each loop, set this in the utility and save. You've now just changed the 'native' key for a loop and GB will transpose it differently.
For example if a loop was in C, and you've sinced moved your song up to the key of E, the loop is now a major third too high, so set the loops key (in the ALU) to G#/Ab. You can then of course in GB add this loop to your library.
In the long run, you need loops that match your chord progressions - there's no substitute for that.
AND it's best to always start out your song in the correct key. Susbsequent key changes then work better, since every track moves in sync. -
How or can I edit the genre field to get my songs into the genre I want?
I have all of my songs organized by Genre and ITUNES seems to default to whatever the album information genre is. To use ITUNES and be able to find and play my music I need to change (edit the genre field to reflect my genre classifications
I keep all music on an external drive and regardless of the albums genre classification have changed the genre to my classification. When I open ITUNES and it loads my music it changes the genre to the (I believe) the album's default and I cannot play my songs in the cjosen genre.You should be able to edit the Genre field by choosing "Get Info" for the specific songs. You should be able to select a group, Get Info, and change the genre for the entire group.
This is using iTunes to accomplish the task, so the change should persist.
Reading similar article list, it was also suggested to turn off iCloud and/or iTunes match, which would lock the info to the iTunes master information.

So recently I purchased a 250g SSD for my new build, while still keeping my old 1TB HDD. Whenver I try to use iTunes (the latest), I cannot transfer ANYTHING onto my iPhone 4S. There is no "Add to" button, nor can I drag and drop. However, I can do both on my old HDD. I also own an iPad 4, which I can easily use on both drives. This is quite annoying because I have to restart my computer just to add music or videos, etc. I do not want to sync because I will lose all of my music, or whatever else it takes, and I do not want that.
So how can I enable file transferring on my new SSD?Move the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer, or drives in this case.
iDevices are designed to only sync to one library (computer). Attempts to sync with a new library will require removing all media from the device and replacing with media from the new library. -

You can try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account and see if the installer will run there. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

No way for us to know for sure (without similar product/issues) but the
HP Support site suggests that with the current Mavericks OS X 10.9.x
their drivers should be available through Apple Software Updates:

You need to go to MAS and purchase Lion for $29.95; the download will take considerable time because it is a very large download. I'd suggest that when the download is finished and before you install it to copy the installer to a safe place (external hard drive or another folder) so you have a copy if you need to reinstall.

When I open iPhoto this appears- "Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable" I have not used iPhoto before on this computer. I downloaded iPhoto Library Manager as suggested but nothing happened. What should I do?
I think the usual advice is to use the Rebuild command in Library Manager.

completely switch off your ipad with pressing the top power button really long and then swipe the red swiper at the top. Then turn your ipad back on, skip the icloud login screen and you should be good! That's what i did so should work for you too
