I am unable to type anything to do a search after I have opened a third window.

I notice that whenever I have opened more than 3 windows, I am unable to type anything to do a search. I am still able to open windows, but I cannot type anything. I typically have to close Firefox and then open it up again for it to respond.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Hi guys, I'm new to iWork and this morning I opened up my iPages and i'm completely stuck.. I chose blank document and now i'm on stop as when I try to type, I get the click/pop sound from the speakers and no letters.. I have no idea whats wrong?

Yea- figured it out haha! I feel like a tool - when I open Pages, it asks me what kind of document I want to open - there are two types of blank documents: blank and blank "canvas". my problem was I didn't know the difference - blank canvas wont let me type unless I put in a text box, whereas just a blank document lets me type.

I cannot type anything into the Google search field; each character typed brings up a list of suggestions below the search field, but nothing appears in the search field itself.

When in Mozilla and I bring up Google, the search field appears but the cursor does not blink as it ordinarily would do. When I try to type a search string it doesn't appear in the search field, instead a list of suggestions appear depending on the character(s)

Solved: This was caused by replacing the SegoeUI (Regular) true-type font. I have no idea what process or why that font was deleted, but finding the segoeui.ttf file on another Windows machine, emailing it to myself, saving it to disk, then right-clicking and choosing "Install" fixed this problem.

The active browser window that I use is constantly de-activating and I have to click on the window in order to navigate, type or do anything. It behaves as if I have clicked on another window to use even if it is the only window I have open.

Seems as if there is a set amount of time I have to use a browser window and when that time is up, I have to click on the window to use it again. Very aggravating. May not be a firefox issue, but I can't pin it down.

If windows and menus on your computer are unexpectedly "losing focus" every few seconds, there are a few steps that can help isolate or resolve the issue.

If things are working normally in safe mode, this usually means OS X is fine, and the issue is caused by conflicting software in your user account.

After choosing a blank template in PAGES, i am unable to type in the main body of the docs. I have to open a text box to type. Pls help

Hi all, need help here. I just face this problem today. When i click the pages icon and after choosing a blank template, i am unable to type anything in the document. All icons in the format bar at the top cannot be clicked (font, font size etc). I will have to open a text box in order to type it.
If i open an existing PAGES doc, duplicate and rename it, then i delete all existing text that i have written, only then i can type in at the doc.
To illustrate my problem, attached is a pic from my Macbook screen

Version 29: Address bar is filled with static Firefox icons. Unable to type URL in address bar.

I've never seen this before and cannot find a solution in support or in a general Google search.
We have a user who has an address bar filed with static Firefox icons (there is a screen shot if there is any way to provide that). If the user clicks on them, they go nowhere (they shouldn't be there anyway, right?). This user is unable to type anything into the address bar, either. Not certain if there was an auto-update to version 29 overnight or not, but Firefox was uninstalled a fresh version of 29 installed - the reasoning being it might have been an installation issue. The issue still remains. This user is not having the same issue with Chrome. Have not tried reproducing it with any other browser on that machine. Have not heard any complaints from other users in the office using version 29.
Is there some setting that is being overlooked with version 29? Is it a bug? Should we try installing version 28 and see if it's a versioning issue or perhaps something else? Trying to eliminate possible issues and move onto the next set of solutions.

It was working last night. However, in the middle of me talking to a family member in the messenger box of facebook. It just wouldnt allow me to type anything anymore. I closed it and re-opened it, but it didnt allow me to restore my sessions. I tried it again today, and it worked for a few seconds, albeit very slowly. Now, it just wont work. It opens to the Firefox homepage, but it wont do anything else.

I let Firefox sit on my desktop for about five minutes, and it finall allowed me to use it. That is EXTREEEMELY slow. What is the problem?

Everytime i type anything or open up the firefox menu in the top left corner firefox goes black or stops working in some way how do i fix this? i have no addons

sometimes when it types if the auto fill address pops up its black and if i backspace the letters stay and if i type something the new letters overlap the old ones. I can open a new tab or get to my home website but i cant type anything without it messing up and i cant open any menus or dropdowns in the actual browser without it going black and reverting to the windows theme i have set.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

To migrate your data to a new iCloud account go to Settings>iCloud and turn off all synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.), when prompted choose to keep the data on your phone. After everything is set to off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, create the new iCloud account on your phone and turn on syncing for contacts, calendars, etc again. If prompted, choose Merge. This will upload your data to the new iCloud account.

restart and hold Command+r to enter in recovery mode and ill allow you to repair your OS X installation. If you cannot repair it, then just create a new user, as usually issues with keyboards are rooted in the user's account.
