I am unable to use acrobat reader 10

I am unable to access acrobat reader 10.  I tried to download acrobat 11 still didn't work.  Tried to change and delete 10 unable to do that.  Purchased a registry (regcure) cleaner no luck.  I'm at a loss..

Okay,
Adobe Reader doesn't open at all.
When my computer boots up the following message is displayed:  "Error
Loading C:\documents and settings\mike\local
settings\applicationdata\Adobe\aqwyoyvf.dll"
In control Panel (add or remove programs)
When I try to "change" or "remove" Adobe Reader (10.1.3)  I get the
following message "The installation source for this product is not
available.  Verify that the source exists and that you can access it."

  • Error opening PDF files using Acrobat Reader 9

I use Acrobat Reader 9 to view PDF files. I have Windows XP operating system on my machine.
In order to view encrypted PDF files on our company webiste we have to install FileOpenInstaller.exe or FIleOpenInstaller.msi which is Adobe Component
Therewas no issue viewing/accessing the PDF files until last week. But now we get below error when we try to open encrypted PDF files from our company website.
The error message is "Unable to get server data [FO error #2114, OS error #0)
Any idea what could be the cause of error?
Is anyone aware of any possible issue with Adobe FileOpenInstaller.exe or FIleOpenINstaler.msi packages

I have just installed Adobe Reader 9. I am getting frequent system hangs (cannot do anything without cold re-boot) when using the product, in particular when using forms documents provided by Companies House, a UK government agency.

  • Error message: Your trial has expired. Unable to use adobe reader to open PDF's.

I have reinstalled the reader several times and keep getting the same error message. My CS6 is working fine.

Does the error actually say "Unable to use Adobe Reader..."?
If not, it could be that you have the trial version of Acrobat installed and were using it to open PDF's instead of Reader (Reader doesn't have a trial)?
If so, you can change your file associations to open PDF's with Reader (how to do this varies by your OS) or install Reader.

  • Error Message:  Unable to load Acrobat Reader control

Error Message:  Unable to load Acrobat Reader control.  Please make sure it is correctly installed. The user I am dealing with has Adobe_Reader_9.4.4 & AdobeAcrobatStd911-L.  Can you give me some assistance as to why she is unable to open her file.

That file only? And before version X, Adobe did not recommend having Acrobat and Reader installed in the same Win computer...

  • Can't view PDF files using Acrobat Reader X

We made many PDF files available on our Web site. In the past few weeks we noticed that users who were using Acrobat Reader X and Internet Explorer 8 or 9 were not able to view some PDF files. Basically, when they clicked a link to display a PDF file, the screen would be cleared and the status bar showing "Loading ...KB/...K/B" would be displayed. The status bar would move a bit and then got stuck. The PDF file would never be displayed. Sometimes, my users could click the Back button to go back the previous Web page and sometimes they had to close or kill the IE window. Small PDF files seemed to be fine. I was able to repeat this problem on PCs running Windows XP and Windows 7. I also tested clicking the same PDF files with PCs installed with Acrobat Reader 9 and I was not able to cause the problem to occur, so I am pretty sure that this problem is related to Acrobat Reader X. I also noticed that if I unchecked the "Display PDF in browser"  option in Acrobat Reader X so that PDF files would not be displayed inside the Internet Explorer window, I would be able to view all PDF files without any problems.
I also did an experiment by resaving many PDF files using Acrobat Pro (Reduce File Size...) to be compatible with Acrobat 8 or above. I was able to open these PDF files using Acrobat Reader X but when I used a PC with Acrobat 9, it would get stuck instead. Most of my PDF files were created a long time ago and we usually made it compatible with Acrobat 5 or above.
I saw that some people reported some problems with Acrobat Reader X but I did not see a solution except uninstalling Acrobat Reader X and installing an old version of Acrobat Reader instead. Anyone has any ideas why this is happening and how to fix this problem?

Sounds like you got the trial of Acrobat. Go to add/remove programs, get rid of it, the download the free Reader from http://get.adobe.com/reader/

  • Problem reopening and/or refreshing PDF files using Acrobat Reader V. 8.0

I upgraded to Adobe Acrobat Reader V. 8.0 and have encountered problems refreshing PDF files in the Safari 2.0.4 browser when I am logged into the secure area for Value Line Publishing. Some of the PDF Files in this area can be opened and/or refreshed multiple times. Other PDF files in this area allow me to open them once. I cannot reopen those previously viewed files (or refresh the screen) -- after refreshing, the window changes to a blank white screen, and the files do not reopen.
I am perplexed because I do not have difficulty refreshing the PDF files (within Safari) using the native PDF viewer, I did not have problems refreshing files using Acrobat Reader V. 7.0 and I do not appear to have problems refreshing PDF files using Acrobat Reader V. 8.0 when I am outside the secure area or on other web sites.
I have replaced the Acrobat Reader plug-in, manually removed all remnants of previous versions of Acrobat Reader and reinstalled V. 8.0. and I also upgraded from Mac OS 10.4.8 to 10.4 9, all to no avail.
I can clear the Safari cache files as a temporary solution, but I encounter the same difficulties with the “problematic” files once they have been opened again.
I can also download the PDF files to my hard drive and refresh them multiple times within Safari and also using Acrobat Reader V. 8.0
The software personnel at Value Line Publishing have investigated their system and have referred me back to Apple. Has anyone heard of similar problems associated with Adobe Acrobat Reader V. 8.0 used in conjunction with Safari 2.0.4?

Wondering if you disabled the Safari Cache would the refresh function work correctly? As a test you can disable the Safari Cache by Emptying the Cache first via the Safari menu, then Quit Safari. Now go to the Finder>Your User Library>Caches>Safari. Single click on the Safari folder, then Apple Key + I to open Info panel. There, check the "locked" box. This prevents further additions to the cache. The downside, you lose your ability to upload images etc. within Safari (my cache is disabled, so I use Firefox for the uploads).
Then restart Safari. Try the PDF from within Safari.

I am using Acrobat Reader XI but i cannot combine and merge files

    Hi mdj4him,
To combine files, you need either Adobe PDF Pack or Acrobat. (Reader doesn't create or combine PDF files.)
You can try Acrobat for free for 30 days, if you'd like. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information. If you'd like to purchase a PDF Pack subscription, see http://cloud.acrobat.com.

  • Error opening DRM PDF document using Acrobat Reader

I am having problem opening a DRM PDF document using Acrobat Reader. When I open the document I get a message if I want want to connect to xx.xxxxx.xx server (Allow / Disallow), I click Allow then I get this error message without prompting me for the login box.
"An error occurred while performing this operation. Contact an administrator if this problem continues."
What is strange is that when I open the document using Acrobat Professional then there is no error and I get login box.
I tried this in Acrobat 8 and 9 Reader with latest updates.
    Please help.

The problem is the enhanced security, turned on by default, in Adobe 8.2 and 9.3 - specifically restrictions on cross domain scripting.
You need to install a crossdomain.xml file in the root of your application server.
See the Enhanced Security and Troubleshooting Guide and FAQ: http://learn.adobe.com/wiki/download/.../Enhanced_security_faq.pdf
And the Cross Domain Policy File Specification: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/articles/crossdomain_policy_file_spec.html

Of course, but if it's Reader X or later each file will appear in its own window. This can't be changed.

    Hi gadi b,
It sounds like you may want to create a form field in your PDF file, which your sales personnel can paste text into. You can use either Acrobat or Adobe FormsCentral to create PDF forms. For instructions, see FormsCentral Help | Create a form or Acrobat Help | Forms.

I can use Adobe Reader on some documents but not all.  I believe I have downloaded the correct software.  I am using Firefox on a Mac with 10.8.4
    Can anyone help?

Are these scanned documents?  If scanned documents have not been OCR-ed, then they are just images without any searchable text.
Try if you can highlight any text in such documents.

  • Print report using Acrobat Reader 5?

I have a home inspection report that I am trying to print (InspectVue), using my HP5300 Notebook, with Windows XP.3. The program tells me that I need to use Acrobat Reader 5, which is no longer available (??). How do I do that (ie. get the report to print)?  Thank you.

You can probably just use the current version of Reader. Hopefully, they meant "Reader 5 or later".
Is this a new inspection report or one 10+ years old?
Are you seeing a problem trying to print it?

  • Unable to install Acrobat Reader 9.3.4

What ever I do, Acrobat Reader 9.3.4 installation won't execute.  The file would open and process, but thereafter; nothing happens.  I've tried uninstalling Acrobat Reader 9.3.3 using Revo Uninstaller just to make sure that there won't be any issues with the latest installation, but no changes. I've tried downloading the latest version via the download site, but no go. Anyone else having similar issues as me?  I've checked the forums here and other forums to find a solution, but I'm unable to find any.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Mahalos in advance.

    Hi,
I can't install acrobat reader but it seems it's for a different reason from what I'm reading in these posts. When I download it everything seems fine until I try to open it by clicking on the icon or try to read a PDF file. The Adobe reader license agreement pops up, says that I need to accept it before I continue, but there is no accept button!!! I try to scroll all the way down  and nothing; there is no accept button!! I've tried uninstalling it and installing it again, same thing. I've tried the link posted in this forum and the same thing happened. It's really getting on my nerves. Can you please please help me?? It just seems so basic, but I'm totally stuck! Any help will be much appreciated!!!

  • I need to digital sign a document using Acrobat Reader. Is it possibile?

I am an IT Manager for a little city in northern italy.
I have almost 50 clients with smart cards enabled for what concerns digital signage.
I use flawlessy the software of the firm who provides the smart card. (infocamere.it).
This uses sha256 crypt, no problems about it.
    The problem I have is:
The final file is a "p7m" envelope.
I would prefer to use a "pdf" envelope. One only file.
I tried to follow this video
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/acrobat-x/how-to-digitally-sign-a-document-with-adobe-reader/
    Simply it doesn't work.
I have also a couple of Acrobat Standard.
    I can "pdf-sign" with Acrobat Standard 9.
I am not able to do the same with reader 9 or X.
There is a way to do it?
    Thank You.

You can sign a PDF using Adobe Reader 9 or X, but the document must be "Reader Extended" to enable this functionality, This can be done using ADEP\LiveCycle Reader Extensions (server product) or Acrobat Professional 9 (Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader) or Acrobat X Professional (File > Save As > Reader extended PDF)
For some more info...  http://www.adobe.com/eeurope/products/server/readerextensions/  or http://help.adobe.com/en_US/enterpriseplatform/10.0/Overview/WS92d06802c76abadb2c8525912dd cb9aad9-7ffa.html
