I am unable to use different sites which worked perfectly until now.
# Question
I have had no problems with Firefox until yesterday when I first went into hotmail and although the page opened, I cannot do anything ie: open an email, delete etc. I then went into Superbru where I had the same problem so finally I tried Facebook and it was the same. I can access all these sites through explorer but would prefer that my Firefox can be repaired. I have done a restore, checked the security settings etc. What more can be done? edit

I have used the PrimeVest web site to keep track of my IRA for several years now. For most of that time I have used Internet Explorer and have had no trouble. I have a link to that site pasted onto an Excel spread sheet and I click on that link daily to get my present balance. I have been doing it this way for years and have had no trouble while using Internet Explorer.
I recently installed the Firefox browser on my new laptop and have switched to using it as my default browser. When I click on that link now and enter my account number and password, sometimes it works OK in Firefox and sometimes it gives me a message saying "Your session has timed out. Please Log In Again." I have tried multiple times to re-enter the account number and password but always get the same message. Closing Firefox and reopening it produces the same result. I have even tried shutting the computer completely down and restarting it, but I got the same result. I can not find any pattern or reason to the days when I can use Firefox and the ones when I can not. The only way I have been able to log on to this site on those days is to past the link into Internet Explorer.
I do the same thing with several other financial sites and have not had any trouble with them and Firefox.Thanks for the response.
I attempted to remove cookies, but I can not identify any of the cookies on the list with the PrimeVest web site. No PrimeVest, no PVs, nothing that looks like it came from them.
I have also reported the problem to PrimeVest and their tech did answer. He suggested erasing the browsing history (temporary internet files), which I did with no effect. He also had me check for the correct starting page address, which was OK. He stated that they are aware of a problem and it is on their list. No indication of how far down that list though. His only cure was to use IE for now, which I was already doing. Perhaps he can tell me which cookies to remove. -
I am unable to upload Quicktime movies made with imovie to the web. I've tried using Filezilla (which worked well until recently) or even going directly to the webhost via Cox (my internet provider). The upload always gets caught in a loop. I have repaired permissions. I've been successfully uploading movies each week to my church website (or intermediary like Filezilla) for over a year. I cannot figure out why I'm no longer successful. Your feedback is desired and welcome. nojo99

Also be sure your serial number is a serial number and not a redemption code. The serial number is 24-digits beginning with 1057. If you have something else, it's probably a redemption code. See this for getting the actual number:

After the restore did the phone work properly for a while? Say, a day or so?
If so it is possible you have an app that doesn't let go of memory properly. I reboot my iPhone ( hold sleep/wake and hole till you see the apple logo) every few days. This resets the memory. The iPhone OS has doesn't seem to mange memory very well yet. So a reboot will help with that. I have had my phone almost slow to a stop before I started rebooting. Always reboot after installing a new app. Also do you close all pages in Safari when you are done? This is a good practice. Safari will run in the background and use processor time and drain your battery quicker. Create a new blank page then close all others when you are done browsing for a while. I have also found that certain web site that have animated images like weather maps will turn the phone into molasses. As soon as i close that page it gets faster.
If all of the above have no effect then as Tamara said it is time for a trip to the Genius bar.

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.
You may have multiple entries.

Is this 8MB "Boot" partition (formatted as FAT???) something you created when you partitioned this disk for the Windows XP installation, or is this an 8MB OEM partition that you've somehow assigned drive letter C: to?
I wouldn't be surprised at all that your error message is being generated because thsi "BOOT" partition, labelled as drive C:, is only 8MB in size, and you can be absolutely positive that an 8MB partition is going to generate this error: "Setup was unable to use existing system partition because it does not contain the required free space."
The correct answer really depends on whether that drive C: is the boot (sic) (the proper terminology is to call it the system partition) partition for the Windows XP installation. If it is, then you're going to have some repair work to do on your Windows XP installation first, so that you can free up that 8MB partition.
In any event, I'm fairly certain that the solution is going to require the removal of that 8MB partition, as you've suggested in your most recent post.

I have had my apple tv 2 for about 3 months which work perfectly fine when I use it with my iPad 3 ー all of the sudden I get the HDCP Error! I read the forms and done everything! Apple I name a loyal customer, please come out with an update soon!
That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it... -
i had greyed out wifi on my iphone 4s, looked on the net how to fix it and it said to use a hairdryer which worked it greyed out again 5 mins after, so i did it again this happened 3 times then the 4th time the screen went white any ideas whats happned an how to fix it?
No, sounds like when you dropped it an cracked the screen it may have also damaged the logic board or the repair person damaged a cable.

Ever since I received my Macbook Pro in July 2011 I've had issues with my wireless connection at home. After software updates, Apple support suggested I reboot my router which works. But now I have to do it every other day. ???? AT&T my DSL carrier suggests I get a new router. Apparently the one I have is really old and doesn't support my Macbook Pro. Does this sound right?
If your using WEP encryption yes, Apple has discontinued that becaues it's worthless. WEP (and WPA) is cracked so encryption makes no sense.
Get a new Wireless N router, set it up with WPA2 (AES) Personal and two different 20+ randon letter/numbersymbol character passwords
One for Admin access only of the router, keep this on paper off all comptuers in a safe someplace.
One for entering into devices, computers etc for Internet Access Only.
You need the long and random password to defeat brute force attacks by GPU software that the hackers have now.
Also if you give out the password to another, they can't hack the network with the guest access password.
Computers remember the internet password, so anyone with access to your machines or network will have the password.
Since you have another Admin only password, they can't hack in. got it?
You don't need "Invisible" or "MAC Address filtering" that's a waste of time as hackers can sniff a network and causes issues getting on the network.

I have set up my airprint wifi printer which works perfectly with the HP eprint app. However, when i view an email and click on the top right arrow button and select "PRINT" on my ipad nothing happens????...
Also, when im viewing websites and i find something i wish to print, same again, if i simply click on the print option at the top right of the screen nothing happens... the only way I can print is if i copy the weblink of the site page then click on my HP eprint app and paste the web link, then select print, it prints off fine.. but its it such a pain to keep copying and pasting links or screen dumping emails just to print...Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. In Numbers 09 there was 'rearrange' which worked perfectly. New Numbers 13 has Sort by column but I can't get it to work. is there a bug?
Numbers '09 has a Reorganize panel and the top section of that panel is for sorting. Numbers 3 also has the ability to sort and it works. However, Numbers '09 and Numbers 3 sort differently.
In Numbers '09, if you had a formula such as =Table 1::A1 and if a sort of Table 1 moved cell A1 to A20, the formula would change to =Table 1::A20. In Numbers 3, the formula would stay =Table1::A1. -
I have a IPhone 4s, which has been working great until now. Don't know if has any thing to do with the latest updates. Charged it over night and then two hours later it was dead. Didn't even used it. Placed on charger and the charging icon shows but battery not.

Welcome to the HP Forums.
That you for provided such a detailed post with what you've already completed, for the issue with your battery. I will try to guide you further.
I would like to provide you further documents for troubleshooting, but you've essentially completed what I have for this issue. The only step left, would be to test the battery.
You can do this with another battery, or in another notebook. I know you mention another machine, but if you know someone who does or someone who has a compatible battery. This would test that. You could even see if a local computer shop could test it.
The reason for this, is if the battery is the problem, it's much easier and more affordable replacement. Also, you mention it being new, might have warranty.
The other possible cause to the issue you've touched on, that would be the system board. Testing the above, would just confirm if this is the problem or not. From there you could decide on what you'd like to do.
I know, there really aren't many suggestions here, but I hope this can provide you with the next step.
Let me know how things go, with the route you choose to troubleshoot.

3d painting issue - why is my selected value showing up different then the actual color I'm picking?
