I am unable to use the ipad3 as the original owner has passed away, he had set it up with find my iPhone but now I have no way of getting his Apple ID or password. What can I do to use this?
I'm uunable to use iPad do to not knowing user name or password. Original owner passed away. It was set up with find my iPhone.
Take the device, its purchase receipt, and the owner's death certificate to a physical Apple Store or otherwise contact Apple.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I have upgraded my MAC OS to 10.6.8.
Final Cut Pro 5.0 still runs great, but Soundtrack Pro 1.01 opens, but operates at a glacial pace. It does not functionally operate.

The OS X works best with more memory: new higher capacity chips.

vender who has tested them on Apple in OS X, such as OWC or Crucial.

I did try to uninstall and reinstall. It messed up my computer. I had to "RESTORE" from the prior days backup. This was not helpful at all. I'm used to losing all my stuff when I connect to iTunes, that's a whole other issue, but now I'm completely banned from any updates to my phone at all. Geeze.......

Honestly I don't know if it's a Lion or MS problem eihter. I have been using Lion for many months with Office 2011 with no problems though.The earliest version I had on my machine was 2008 and 2011 opened those files with no problems at all. As Dave mentioned earlier he opens Office 2004 files all the time with 2011.
One thing you might want to do is restart the computer while holding down the Option key then select the Restore Volume and run Disk Utility and repair the Disk Permissions on the HD. Run DP at least 2x. -

Sorry, but there's nothing you can do. iTunes Cards are valid only in the country of purchase. So you cannot use that card in the Swiss iTunes Store. Sell or give the card to someone back in Spain.

iPhoto should be still in your Applications folder and will still work. But if you failed to keep it up to date then Try Terence's instructions here Is Iphoto gone ?i want it back!

you can ask the family to remove it from the iCloud account
I believe that would be presuming the family even knows the owner's password or has access to the owner's email account where they could receive an e-mail responding to a password reset request.

Accidentally merged my iPhone with my partners iPhone library now when she adds new app she is asked for my password, when she restores phone, my apps download onto her chosen wallpaper/phone 5c, she still has her content too, it's like we have two accounts merged into one even our music is one big jumbled mess! please help!?!?!
Yeah we thought about just syncing straight to her itune library... But the problem is she had used her iphone 3gs to purchase a boat load of new music and apps during the past 30 days or so... And those now only show up in my itunes library...
Also - I want to be careful not to wipe out all of my content by syncing her phone with my itunes again... Are there any precautions to take to make sure that the sync ensures content writing to her iphone ... rather than the other way around?

Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption. -
My kids have new iTouches and I have an iphone. I set up their accts same as mine to share iTunes/iCloud but now they have all my contacts, calendar, and messages go out weird from them. What should I do ?
You can share the same Apple ID for purchasng form the iTunes and app stores without any problems, but you should all used separate iCloud accounts with separate Apple IDs. (You are not required to use the same ID for iCloud and other services as you do for the iTunes store.) This will prevent you from ending up with merged data. You should also use separate Apple IDs for iMessage and FaceTime or you will end up getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls.
