So are you saying that when you go to the same web page as them, your browser shows something different to what their browser shows them ? Can you literally email one URL back and forth and get different results, or is the URL different for different users ?
Do you have to log in to anything on the web server to get to that point ? Might it be that your account doesn't have the same access their account has ?
Can you try letting them use your iPad temporarily and see whether it continues to work for them ?

Not long ago I purchased my first Mac (New MacBook Pro 2.53GHZ); last Summer I also purchased a MacBook Pro for my daughter. Everything works great (like driving a formula one Porsche after grappling with a battered pick-up truck (meaning Windows) for many decades; cannot imagine ever going back. But, there is one issue that I have not been able to solve and for which I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice. I am familiar with ichat and with AIM (my daughter uses it all the time). However, the vast majority of people with whom I communicate via IM live in parts of the world where very few people have even a computer at home much less residential internet access. As a result, near all of the folks I would be chatting with have to use public computers (internet cafes, libraries, etc) and obviously they cannot install AIM or anything else on those public computers. About 90% of them use the web based yahoo messenger which can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection (most of the rest use MSN). My question is this: I know how to do video chat in ichat but ichat does not support yahoo. How can I do video chat with someone who is using web based yahoo on a public computer that has a USB web cam? I was able to do this on my old PC which had a plug in web cam but do not know how it might work on a Mac. Should I install yahoo messenger on my MacBook Pro and will that work for me?. I know about some other Mac compatible chat clients such as Admiun but as far as I can tell none of them support video chat or in some cases yahoo. Perhaps I am overlooking something. I would be very grateful for any suggestions or advice in this matter. Thanks to anyone who reads this post and has any helpful info.

I don't think the web-based Yahoo Messenger supports video, so nothing you can do with that.

I think there are Mac compatible MSN clients that will do video, (i.e. aMSN) Also, Microsoft plans on releasing an updated version of Messenger for Mac soon.

GoogleTalk does have a browser based video chat, but your friends would need to install a browser plug-in. (which I would assume that can't do either)
The best option is Skype, but also requires an install on their end (I would think that the internet cafes would/should have this available)

Unable to view web-based videos

For the past few days, I have been unable to view web-based videos with the exception of YouTube. I am running Windows 7, IE 10, and am using Flash Player ver 11.8.800.94. Have tried using Beta ver 11.8.800.115 with no change. I have run 2 different anti-virus/anti-malware programs, and nothing was found. Have un-installed/re-installed Flash Player several times, and still receive messages telling me I need to download Flash Player. My system shows that I am running Flash Player 32-bit, but no videos besides YouTube will play. have been in contact with Microsoft for assisstance, and have followed all their suggestions, but still no luck. I am down to rebooting my laptop from scratch but thought I would see if you might be able to assisst me first.Any suggestions?

If so, the PDF form is a special type of form called a "dynamic XFA form". The message is displayed when a dynamic content is not supported by a PDF viewer.
As far as I know, there are no iOS apps that support dynamic XFA forms. The mobile version of Adobe Reader does not support dynamic XFA forms. Neither does Safari or iBooks on iOS. It's the limitation of mobile PDF viewer apps.
To recap
Dynamic or static XFA forms - Use the desktop version of Adobe Reader or Acrobat on a Mac or Windows computer.
Most PDF documents and non-XFA forms - Use the mobile or desktop version of Adobe Reader.
Please note that Apple iOS apps (such as Mail, Safari, and iBooks) do not display filled form data or annotations (sticky notes, highlight, etc.) at all. If a PDF document/form is first opened in Mail, Safari, or iBooks, you need to use the iOS "Open In" feature to open it in Adobe Reader for iOS.
How to open PDF documents in Adobe Reader for iOS (iPad on iOS 7 or 8 version)
(This is the same FAQ document that I mentioned in my reply #2 above.)
In this particular case, using the "Open In" feature to transfer the PDF Application Form from Safari to Adobe Reader for iOS does not help. Because Adobe Reader for iOS cannot display the dynamically generated content of the XFA form from the Alberta government web site.
But you should be able to open other "regular" PDF documents (just like the one that I provided as a sample link) in Adobe Reader for iOS.

Thanks Nik and Roger. I think we've all come to the same realization: the new Pages will not attach documents to e-mail without going through Cloud. If you don't want to give your files to Apple to keep in its Cloud (which I assume the NSA has access to through a back door), then you can't use the new Pages.
If, like me, you downloaded the new Pages and used it to work on a document, before realizing you couldn't attach it to e-mail, then when you saved that document it was saved in the new Pages. If you later delete the new Pages (as I did) and go back to using an older version (which you can find in your iWorks file on your hard drive), then you discover that the older version of Pages won't open a document that you worked on and saved with the new Pages.
Nik and Roger have found the solution, if you keep the new Pages. If you delete the new Pages (as I did) then I had to accept the loss of any work I did on my documents using the new Pages, and began over using the latest version of my document that I had saved with the older Pages.
All in all, this has really soured my tase for Apple. If I hadn't recently bought a new MacBook Pro, I'd be switching to a PC now. I refuse to let Apple bully me into using their Cloud.

Unfortunately there does not seem to be a way to similarity adjust the security settings in Safari in iOS 8.
The message I get when I attempt to open the PDF (on my iPad) is as follows:
            "To view the full contents of this document you need a later version of PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from ..."
Needless to say this is unhelpful for two reasons:
- I have the very latest version of Adobe Reader; and
- in iOS Adobe Reader is not a plug-in and plays absolutely no role in opening web-based PDF documents.
If anyone has experienced this difficulty and has been able to overcome it I would be most appreciative to hear of you solution.

IPhone 5 unable to connect to internet or use web-based apps like Facebook or Tumblr

About two days ago, shortly after using my iPhone 5 to upload a picture of my son eating a donut to Facebook, I seem to have lost all ability to connect to the internet or update content on web-based apps like Facebook or Tumblr. I tried to restore my iPhone in iTunes on my computer but could not do that without first turning of "Find My iPhone," in the iCloud section of my settings. When asked to enter my password to turn off this feature the phone is "unable to connect to iCloud." It doesn't seem to matter if I'm connected to WiFi or using my cell data - I'm getting a strong signal in either case, but the phone is unable to connect to anything. I CAN make phone calls and send texts but that's just about it.
I recently updated to IOS 8.1.1 but it worked fine for several days before this problem started. Any ideas?

I reset my network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings) and rejoined my network, and that seemed to fix it. Apps are working on wifi and on data, and I can once again send imessages. Since I couldn't find a similar post very easily, I wanted to post this for whoever needs help with this problem ;D

Automating a process through VBA using web-based tool PMD

I'm currently trying to automate a process of extracting information from PMD into an excel (or access if necessary) spreadsheet by using VBA in Microsoft Excel. So far i haven't found a way of communicating through VBA code with PMD. In our company's SAP there is a recorder that creates a code to simply copy into VBA but with PMD being a purely web-based tool there are not any options "clearly" available.
Does anyone know of a script-recorder, or just any method, to include PMD processes within VBA? I'm stumped..

Submit form using web based email service

I regularly get sent forms by my printers which I fill in to approve print jobs. There's a submit button the forms which has always nicely opened up Mail (Mac OS X) in order to send a data file that the sender can read. However, I've just recently started using a different email client (Postbox) and I get this error from Adobe Acrobat...
The SendMail doesn't know how to talk to your default mail client. Please select a different mail application to use.
I can't find a way to change the settings though. I used to be given the option between sending via a desktop or web based email service but a while ago I ticked the box to 'not show this message again'.
Anyone got any ideas how I can maybe use Gmail or similar to send these forms?

The "Submit by Email" button enables to submit your form data in two modes.
1) Default Email Application (MS Outlook)
2) Use Webmail
You can use option 2 to submit form data through Webmail.

Online Chapter on using Web-based Services

Dear All,
I just added a new chapter to my ["Killer Game Programming in Java"|http://fivedots.coe.psu.ac.th/~ad/jg/] website. It's about programming techniques for writing standalone programs that employ Web-based service APIs for searching Google, Amazon, eBay, and Yahoo.
As a test-bed, I've implemented an application which sends a book title to a service, and gets back a PNG image of the book's cover. I've written five versions: one each for Google, Amazon, and eBay, and two aimed at Yahoo.
It's chapter 33 "Using Web Service APIs", located in the "Networking" section, about 2/3 of the way down the page.

Opening a separate form using Web.show_documen not working as intended

My intent is to open a form in a totally different session from another form.
I want to open FORM B from a trigger in FORM A and I want both to be active simultaneously.
To achieve that I thought to use web.show_document in completely new borwser window from a trigger in FORM A.
web.show_document (FORM_B_LINK,'_blank');
But both forms still share same JRE session (according to Metalink Tech support.)
Now what is happening is that FORM B opens(only if I use Synchronize after web.show_document call ) but FORM B is not active whenever FORM A is doing something. So they both are not active together.
Please help me here how can I open two separate forms session.
BTW, I can not use OPEN_FORM or CALL_FORM for various reasons

cannot see anything that you can do with two browser
windows that you cannot do with using
OPEN_FORM(SESSION). That in effect creates two
database sessions that are independent of each other

Actually its not database session I'm worried about it is FORM session that is worrying me. Both FORM A and FORM B can not execute some code at the same time as they share same forms session (as far as I know).
Let me explain my situation again. We have a PLL which is attached to lots of forms.
This pll has functionality to perform some on-demand internal jobs like executing a report or exporting block data to execl or html etc). Depending upon the Job it may take some from few seconds to several minutes to finish the job.
What I have to do add is the ability to monitor progress of the job and give our users ability to stop that job.
And I think I can not achieve that using OPEN_FORM.

Flash using web serives not always working

Unable to use web services

Hi,
I am unable to web services in Xcelsius 2008. here is what i did
1. created a web service against efashion universe using Query as web service
2. started Xcelsius then data>connection>Add-->Query as web service
3. entered WSDL for my efashion WS and hit Import.
4. i can see different output parameters (under output values) and mapped to excel cells (through insert in)
but i don't see any data.
am i missing anything ? please help.

i've made a small example using a famous test Webservice from the internet
- first go to Data manager (data - > Connections )
- Cick the "Add" Button - > then choose "Web Service Connection"
- in the "WSDL URL".. put the URL of ur webservice which will be something like that

- Click Import (the button beside the text)
- after you click import it may take some time to collect the functions from the WSDL URL
- at the "Methods" , you will have all the methods available in this webserivce, in case this webservice has more than one Method
- choose the Method you want from the "Methods" List
- you will see the parameters of this methods in two parts (Input Values,Output Values)
- then you can map the input and the out put values in the excel sheet so easy.
- just click any value name , and map it to the excel sheet.
you will have one more thing - the action -(when the webservice will run)----
- Click the "Usage" tab, you will find all the options there.
