Why won't Apple send me an email so I can verify my account to use iCloud storage?

I am sorry to hear that you are unable to verify your Firefox account. Here are some possible solutions:
*AOL has been known to block a lot of emails and items in them. Try verifying your account with another email provider.
*Try copying the link to verify your account and pasting it into another tab.
*See if it works in a different browser. It may be a bug in the email.
*If these do not work, could you send us a screenshot of what is happening? See the link below.

    Can you send any emails at all indicating that the mail app is working? Did you try any basic stuff yet?
    Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Close those affected apps and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

    I have an Ipad2 and have tried severally to re-add my hotmail account but couldn't.  In collaboration with Apple personnel today (10/17/2012), we routed the Settings and General via the home page but solution appears elusive.  I can't get pass "Unable to verify your account information"  Hotmail feedback has it that the problem is with the iPad since I can access the hotmail account on my laptop, desktop, and smart phone,  Can someone please help me in this matter. 

    I see you have resolved this problem but for anyone else trying to sort out their Hotmail account on their iPad try the following:
    Try deleting your Hotmail account from your iPad/iPhone (making sure you can access your emails from your PC or other device as all your email history will also be deleted). Then under Settings go to 'Add an account' and click 'Other'(don't use the Hotmail heading). Fill in the required details for your Hotmail account and wait for account to be verified. This has just worked for me. Good luck!

    Might I suggest a password reset?
    Maybe you can click on the Reset Password link instead of trying to log in at appleid.apple.com.
    I'm not sure if that would work, but its worth a try.

    Bought a new iPad2 with wi-fi access.  I am at home on my wi-fi network using iPad.  Trying to add my Hotmail account to the iPad so I can retrieve my e-mail messages.  When I try to add the Hotmail e-mail account to the iPad, I select Windows Live Hotmail on the iPad.  I then enter my Hotmail e-mail address and Hotmail password in the iPad.  The iPad then says Verifying.  Then a box pops up saying "Hotmail Account, Unable To Verify Account Information".  I spent about an hour on the phone with iPad support and they tried everything they could to no avail.  iPad support said I would need to contact Hotmail support.  I have learned that Hotmail does not have a support phone number that you can call, only a search area that is of no help.  I am able to log onto my Hotmail e-mail account no problem on my regular computer.  I was able to program my wife's Comcast.net e-mail into the iPad no problem and bring up her e-mail on the iPad.  I can not get past the "Unable to verify Hotmail Account Information" message on the iPad.  Frustrated, want to be able to retrieve my Hotmail e-mail messages from my iPad, please help!  Thank you.

    My hotmail was working properly until one month ago , then I do not what happens ... My mistake has been to cancel that account and try to re-load it... I am blocked at "unable to verify account details".

    For all Users...I just fixed mine and am now able to log on.
    Yesterday there was a Quick Time update to 7.3.1 that fixed a security issue that was allowing access to your computers. I thought that my auto update would install this and it didn't. I had to manually download from apple and install the update.

    I used the "with iTunes" version and now I can log into my account with out the "null" error appearing.
    This was pointed out to my by QuickDraw so he gets all of the credit.

    Tried changing my apple Id to the alternate icloud address. It asked me to verify it through my email address (primary) which I never received.
    Requested to resend the validation email address a couple of times but failed to receive the verification. At that point, my icloud account failed to connect and kept on asking me to verify my account.
    Any thoughts?

    Not very helpful but I have the same issue. Plugging in and doing the update via. iTunes will probably work but I find that whole experience annoying (downloading apps not on the Mac, etc..)

    You can change it.  At the top of iTunes, click Store > View My Account, log in with your password, View Account.  To the right of your Apple ID click the word Edit, and it will take you to a page where you can edit your email address.
    You are right to avoid creating a new account if at all possible, since having multiple accounts usually causes complications down the line.

    Apple has pulled the iOS 8.0.1 update due to problems.
    iOS 8.0.2 will be released in "the next few days".

    NO - I dont have any hotmail/gmail account setup on my phone. Its a new work phone and I only have work email account setup on the phone. I was just trying to send a test email to my hotmail and gmail account but failed to receive those using my work email account on iphone 5.
    I have tried receiving email on my work account on iphone, sent from my hotmail account (using web) and received it.
    Incoming is all fine and I am able to receive emails from all sources but outgoing is only sucessful if I send it to anyone using my company's email account.

    Why can you not login into the account ? You should be able to if you remember the account's password, if you can't then you can get it reset e.g. by answering your account's security questions : http://iforgot.apple.com
    If you can't reset it via your security questions then contact Support in your country, they should be able to reset your password (and security questions) for you (after they've verified your id and that it's your account).
