I am unable to view my bookmarks and the 'Bookmarks' drop down menu will not expand beyond the bookmark folder to display my bookmarks.

When I try to add a new bookmark, I cannot find any of my bookmark folders. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox and still have the same problem.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (200 KB) and <u>do not click Preview</u> after you have attached the image.

1. Reset Tools - Select Brush Tool, then
2. Delete Settings File
Go to Full Editor/Edit Menu/Preferences/General and click on the option "Reset Preferences on Next Launch".

The bookmarks in my drop-down menu do not appear when I try to "organize bookmarks". When I try to bookmark a page, the folders in the drop-down menu do not appear as choices.

The trouble started when I transferred applications from my old computer. When I click "bookmarks", all my bookmarks are there. When I try to "Organize Bookmarks", it acts like I have no bookmarks. When I try to "Bookmark this page", it does not show all the folders that are in the drop-down menu. There are a number of bookmark files in the appdata\mozilla\firefox\profiles area, none of which are complete. I tried a backup and restore in the organize menu and a backup was created, but I don't know what was backed up. I suspect nothing was backed up. When I clicked a restore, nothing happened.

I'm not familiar with Windows 7, but... is it possible there is a permissions problem with your profile folder, or read-only set on any database files?

Your instructions for importing bookmarks/favorites are to click the top left Firefox button and select "import" to start the process. I don't have that option, there is not "import" in the drop down menu. How can I import bookmarks into Firefox?

My mail subfolders are missing from the viewing pane, but available from inbox drop down menu. How do I get them back in the viewpane?

How to avoid prompting the userid and password in Drop Down Menu

Hey Guys hope you can help me.
I have created a page wherein within that page I have a drop down menu using a javascript here is the code (please see my code below): Now the problem is each time I click any of the selection below the useid and password prompt me.
Is their any way that this can be fixed so that I cann pass the userid and password as a parameter? I have already tried to pass the &SESSION but it does not work.
Please enlighten me on this one....

Increasing an array and making a drop-down menu

Hi everyone,
I would like to do two things:
1. After scaning tag IDs from an RFID reader from a serial port and individually entering them into an array (using auto-indexing), I get a n x 1 array (where n is the number of iterations, or rows). Everytime I scan an entry in, I would like to add two things: the temperature it was scanned at, and the time it was scanned at. I am getting the temperature from the serial port, and am getting the time stamp using LabVIEW. This would then make the array a n x 3 array.
2. The second thing I would like to do may sound simple. I would like to make the n x 3 array I scanned in a drop-down menu. It need not have the temperature and time appended to it, but it needs to have the tag IDs. I am only doing this to convserve space on the PDA screen.
I am attaching a sample file of what I am currently working on. The "Read String" field represents the tag ID's i'll be reading. It'll be in ASCII.

1. Simply make a 1D array of your 3 elements first (using "built array" with three inputs) inside the loop, then make it into a 2D array (e.g. at the loop boundary using autoindexing. You can also built it after the loop as in the image below.
2. Actually, you're not getting a "n x 1" 2D array, but a simple 1D aray of size N. You could for example feed it to a "strings[]" property of a ring control.

Lower drop down bar will not allow the content to be viewed as a page again

When I minimize a page to the drop down bar I am unable to restore the page. I can find it and click on it so it appears as a restored page. However, as soon as I release the mouse button it disappears back to the drop down bar.

Which OS X is installed on your Mac ?

When running Quicktime 7.7 with Firefox 7.01 on MAX OS X v 10.5.8 the menu drop down box will not drop down. Yo uclick and nothing happens. All of the other buttons work. Is there a fix?

There are 2 issues that arise in Firefox but not other browsers.

Hi all.
I've spent a fair amount of time perusing the archives, so I don't have to bother you all with the basic questions. Great thanks to Wyodor, Old Toad, Ethmoid and Cyclosaurus for their excellent and oft-repeated tutorials.
With your help, I've figured out how to set up a personal domain name, modify my background image, and create a drop-down menu. (These were major accomplishments for a neophyte like me.) My primitive template can be seen here:

And I am pretty happy with it. I have one problem, and one minor element that I'd like to fix.
The drop-down menu was created following the excellent tutorial from the iWebfaq but I notice that although it looks perfect there is one malfunction. If you hover and try to select an element where there is no underlying content, it works fine. When you try to select a list item with underlying content, however, the drop-down disappears. Any idea why that happens or how I can fix it? I suppose I could just add a space buffer, but that is an inelegant solution.
On a more trivial note, the background was actually supposed to be composed of two images. The top row was supposed to be a horizontal set of tiles (slightly darker in color) and the rest of the background was tiled in a second image, giving a gradient effect. I used the script Wyodor described here with repeat set to yes which gave me single-image tiling. Looks OK, but if I could get both sets of tiles used it would add substantial richness to the visual effect. Ideas?

I appreciate your reply but those arrows were not the ones I was trying to describe. In the same box where you would type your web address on the far right is a small star and then next to it an arrow pointing down. If you click on this arrow, it normally drops down a list of the websites you commonly use. Or, if you are on a website ordering something, there might be a similar arrow that you need to select in order to choose which shipping you might want such as ground, next day air, etc., these are the kinds of arrows that are not working correctly now. Any ideas on these? Thanks for trying to help me.

A box with a blue outline appeared in my bookmark drop-down menu. I can't get rid of it, and it obstructs the view of the bookmarks as I scroll up or down. Help!

I was trying to bookmark a page, using the "Choose" menu in the bookmarks. I must have touched a key by accident, and a box with a blue outline & the name of one of my folders appeared in my bookmark drop-down menu. At first the box contained the folder name, then I was trying to delete the box, and erase the name, thinking it might get rid of the box, but it didn't. I can't get rid of this box! It obstructs the view of what is underneath. It stays in the same position as I scroll up & down in the drop-down menu, and it hides what is underneath. Please help me get rid of this box. Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Bookmarks disappeared in bookmarks drop down menu and bookmarks toolbar disappeared too after upgrading

I still have all my bookmarks so they are not lost (I can find them under 'bookmarks'>'Edit bookmarks' and also when I put them in the left side windowframe by clicking 'View'>'Sidebar'>'Bookmarks'
I saw them appear once again in the dropdown menu but now they're gone again.
The Firefox help page suggest to go to the 'add ons window' and select 'Extentions'>'Torbutten' but I don't even have that. They say that if you don't find the button, that means the torbutton is not installed. And then they leave you without another possibility. But I think that's only for when your bookmarks are totally lost anyway.
I always use the drop down menu and the bookmarks toolbar so would love to get it back. Adding, erasing and moving the bookmarks in the 'edit bookmarks' window all works just fine.

This issue can also be caused by a missing "Bookmarks Toolbar items" on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
* Make sure that you have the "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible: "View > Toolbars"
* Check in "View > Toolbars > Customize" that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize window onto the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" then click the "Restore Default Set" button
